I’ve been coming to the barber shop for around a year now. My barber there is José. He’s an Argentinian dude who’s pretty funny and likes the catch slogan, «make you look like a movie star». He definitely knows what he’s doing and never once gave me a bad haircut. It’s an awesome place where all the barbers are professional with plenty of gossip.

I have been going to Sammy for over 15 years and he is a great barber! I live in LI now, but sill make the trip back to him for a haircut every time because always comes out perfect. Sammy now even cuts my 2 year old son and is very patient with him. You can’t lose at his place. Always very clean and polite.

If you want a great close razor shave, see Gino. I’ve been going to him for years and he has never nicked me. Afterwards he gives you a quick upper body massage. He also cuts my hair and does a fine job. The barber shop is over all a friendly neighborhood spot and you can hear lots of gossip

Ridicously over priced! I went in and asked for something so basic. She messed up the style; cut too much in front and not enough in the back. She didn’t do as I had instructed. I wouldn’t be this furious had I not paid $ 21 ($ 16 for haircut + $ 5 tip). Don’t think I’ll be coming back here anytime soon…

Sammy’s is a traditional barber shop circa 1970 filled with a variety of barbers. I go to a barber named Danny who has been cutting hair for over 45 years all at Sammy’s. I have spent $ 150.00 for a haircut and while the ambiance was superior to Sammy’s the outcome was no better.
Danny gives a terrific haircut all for $ 20.00. Great place… Great job!

Been coming here for years. As far as I have heard, most of the guys in here give pretty good cuts. Try to avoid Friday afternoons and Saturdays, depending on the barber you might have to wait a half hour sometimes. I think for a regular mens haircut, its $ 12 or so. If you go in for the first time, I’d recommend my barber, Roman. In about 6 – 7 years that I’ve been going to him, he’s never did me wrong, never zeke’d me, nice guy and he’s quick.
