The Star Café gets five stars for cuteness but only three for food. It’s in an adorable little house, decorated in the cluttered southern way. It’s a Meat N Three, and the menu resides on two chalk boards hanging on walls on either side of the dining room. The food for the most part is good. It’s nothing spectacular though and not everything seems to be homemade, meaning there are some boxed sides on the menu. Meat, three sides and a drink will usually run you under $ 10 though, which is nice. And again, the food isn’t bad, but it could be better. They’re awfully proud of their peach cobbler as well, but there’s nothing special about it. It’s not bad, it’s just not unique. There is also a stage on the far right of the restaurant, a tiny stage. They do have live music a couple nights a week. Parking is limited, but I’ve never had to search for a spot. If it’s not out of the way, I’d definitely give it a shot.
