Every time I come here, they sit me in a chair and don’t come back for 20 minutes. I am currently sitting in a chair 25 minutes later than my appointment time, which i made hours ago at a time they suggested. The people I came at the same time with are finished and my pedicure hasn’t started. Only come here if you want to wait all day to get serice.

(Review from my wife) I love this place! The TLC pedicure is amazing and worth the extra $ 13 for the reflexology massage. I’ve been to spas in Europe and never had a pedicure better than this one. Request Ruby or Sunny. They always go above and beyond to help you relax. When I was recently there for a pedicure, Ruby sensed I was cold and offered me a heated pad from the microwave to keep my warm. It’s always a wonderful and relaxing experience when I’m there.

I will never go here again! Stupidly, we sat for 1 hour and 45 mins., but we’re desperate. Nobody came out to let us know how long the wait would be after they greeted us, but by the time we decided to leave, it wasn’t worth leaving. The customer service was terrible from the owner. It’s a shame, because I have come here in the past and had good experiences.

Don’t even think about going to this salon and getting good service if you are not fully white. I was denied service by the workers and even told to leave by some of the customers. If I could give them 0 stars, I would!!!

I don’t know why this place has gotten such negative reviews. I’m getting a pedicure here right now and it is awesome. Great attention to detail and a nice foot massage included with a basic pedicure. This is my 5th visit and my nails always look great and last. Nicely done!

Please do not do this to yourself. When my sister and I first arrived, we were told we had to wait for our pedicures which is no problem. However, the two customers after us also wanted to get pedicures and they were almost immediately seated before us. Once the owner realized we had come before them, he decided to stick us in the back where there were two machines. I waited for twenty minutes while my feet were soaking in cold water and my sister waited for thirty minutes. My technician, Jay, immediately noticed my nail polish choice and told me it would be an extra five dollars since ‘it lasts longer’. It wasn’t a gel polish and it wasn’t separate from the regular polishes. I told him I wanted a different one which he seemed miffed by but agreed anyway. He took a total of fifteen minutes for my pedicure and barely did anything. He didn’t clean my nails. Basically, he rubbed my feet and lotioned them. When I was done, he moved me to the drying area and gave me a massage. It was so quick but I didn’t mind that because it was so painful, it felt like he was stabbing me. After, he asked for ‘his money’ while I was still drying. Since my sister and I were paying together, I told him that I had to wait for her. He was upset by this and told me I had to leave soon then. After that, he went back to where my sister was(she was still getting her nails painted by her slow technician). My sister’s technician asked him if I had given him a tip which was very rude to do in front of her. Previously, my sister has visited this place and has had such bad pedicures that her toe was actually bleeding. When we complained to the owner, she defended his actions. On top of it, this place is quite expensive for the quality of service provided. Often times, they believe a 20% tip is not good enough and make it clear by telling you or huffing about it.

Let me start off by saying that although I’m not picky when it comes to many things, where I get my nails done and who does them is at the top of that«picky» list. And let me tell you, I love this place! I’m a big nail biter and to deter that I have realized once I put on the gel nails, I never bite. What I’ve also realized is that it takes true talent to do gel nails the right way. I’ve tried a bunch of places around the area and have always been disappointed until I came to Sunny Nails. A little over a year ago, I sat down with a lovely woman named Chris and she did an absolutely amazing job. My nails weren’t to thick, weren’t too wide, and she really took her time making them perfect which is something that really makes an impression on me since these are some things that are easily overlooked by many nail salons. Although they can be a little pricey, Sunny truly takes the time and puts in the effort to make sure their clients are happy. I regularly get my UV gel nails, pedicure, and eyebrow wax done here and have always been happy! One piece of advice– If you don’t want to wait, since they do get busy, call a few hours ahead and make an appointment. I usually call the morning of and never have a problem being seated within 5 – 10 minutes of my appointment! UPDATE: While Chris is definitely still my go-to gal at Tia salon, it seems I should have tried out some other people before finalizing my review. I’m sad to say that today I tried a pedicure by one of the men– Jay– his name tag stated. After waiting for over 15 min in the chair, he finally came over after the water turned cold. Within 30 seconds of starting, he filed the side of the nail on my big toe so hard that it started bleeding. Ladies, stick to the ladies! The men here seem to only be employed because they are family of some kind. So sad to say.

I do not like this salon at all. I went there several months ago for a gel manicure, when I first moved to the area, and wasn’t wowed. In addition, they seem to make up their prices as they go. I asked how much a gel manicure was, they told me $ 35… when I left, it was $ 40 because I chose a particular type of polish? OF course they don’t have them separate, and didn’t tell me until the end. The technicians are slow as molassas and not very friendly. This time I asked for gel, french manicure, which was $ 35 + $ 5 for French — somehow that added up to $ 45 when I left. I will not be returning. I don’t care how close and convenient they are.

If I could rate a ZERO… I would. I went to the nail salon that is in the same strip mall as the supermarket Kings. Outside sign reads«nail salon» but it is in fact called Sunny’s Nail Salon(according to their name tags). I had only one broken nail to be fixed and just a fill in. I arrived after 5 not knowing they closed at 6.(My first time going). When I asked for a fill in… right there they should have told me they wouldn’t have the time. Yet they saw me as a dollar sign instead of a person and everything was rushed from beginning to end. She claimed I needed 2 nails fixed not one. So I allowed it. For the color I wanted my ring fingers with something Christmas like… she paints tip red and put some green sparkle. No time for detail. My 10 year daughter could do that. But they made sure they charged me for that as a design. How is that a design??? I see woman all the time with all their nails painted in a French tip with color. Ugh. Rest of the nails look horrible. Nothing matched right. While my nails were drying the manicurist jumped out of her chair and gave me the quickest massage while I witnessed earlier another woman having a long.hand.arm.and back massage. It’s now 2 minutes after 6 and time to pay… They charged me…$ 70.00!!! Wth! That’s not even a price you would charge someone getting a full set! Mine was as fill in. I’m so sick to my stomach over this. I still tipped. Even though my mind was telling me not too. I felt my tip was included in that 70 dollars they charged me! I gave $ 5 for the tip and this is where it gets even more sicker. She points and suggested for me to use their ATM machine that was located inside their salon. Wth! And then proceeds to tell me the fee is ONLY90 cents. This is not how to treat people! I guess you all know that I will be NEVERGOINGTOSUNNYNAILS(Nail Salon) EVERAGAIN located inside the KINGSSUPERMARKET strip mall. I’m still sick to my stomach over this… ugh. Live and Learn.

I have been giving business to Sunny Nails for years and after yesterday’s experience, I won’t be returning. I arrived for my 6pm appointment and spent several minutes choosing my colors for my gel manicure and pedicure. In that span, I was interrupted multiple times with«Please hurry up, we close at 7.» After choosing my colors, I proceeded to the spa chair for my pedicure. While one worked on my feet, another lady grabbed my hand and started to file down my nails. Since both were happening at once, the pedicure wasn’t even a little relaxing. My gel manicure was done poorly.(But I do love the color — glad I ignored the rushing to add some good to the situation!) After, I was charged $ 55.(According to a review below, that’s $ 6 more than what they paid.) I handed them my $ 32 giftcard and $ 40 and asked for $ 10 back. I told her to keep the rest($ 7). Rudely, she said«What about the pedicure?» I was a little taken back and gave her back the $ 10 and asked for change so I could give $ 5 to the other manicurist. While she went to break the $ 10, I removed $ 2 from the $ 7($ 14 in tips would be outrageous) and when she returned, she said«Just $ 5?» I said«Yes,» handed the one who did my pedicure the other $ 5, and walked out. I did not ask for two people to do my nails. I left before 7pm so time really wasn’t an issue and I did not have to be rushed. I felt like I was disrespected and for the amount I’m paying, the amount I choose to tip should not be questioned. Unilocal, you need to create a 0 star option.

I only have continued coming to Sunny Nails because of proximity. I live down the street and whenever I need a pedicure and don’t feel like driving to Flemington Nails, I just go here because I hope they can’t screw up a pedicure. However, after yesterday, I will no longer be putting money into this place. The first time I went to this place, Danny gave me a pedicure that was so rushed that he cut the side of my toe. The massage was painful and my toes were barely touched. I then had a acrylic fill with Chris who was a nice woman but didn’t do the best job as the gel chipped days later. I then decided to do pedicures only and my next two with women weren’t too bad. Yesterday, I had about an hour only and decided to get a pedicure with my sister visiting from out of town. We get there at 2:30 and there is a wait which is okay. I ask how long and Sunny the owner tells me not long. Then she proceeds to take two teen girls that walked in after us, but she then realizes the mistake and sits us down in the pedicure seats at around 2:35. My sister and I wait with our feet in the water soak until 2:55 which is soon cold water. Jay comes over and begins to take care of my sister. He tells her the nail polish she chose is $ 5 more(which is ridiculous). Since my sister is not a big pedicure person, I tell him to pick a different polish with no extra charge. He gets started on her while I wait 10 more minutes for Angela to come over. Angela does an OK job as most the women do. However, I watch Jay taking care of my sister and he really doesn’t do much to her feet. He cuts her nails, does minimal filing then does a fast, cold stone massage. Her pedicure takes less than 15 min. Angela does a rushed job as well and never does a top coat on my toes but I am running late so at that point I don’t care. Jay comes over and Angela asks him if «she gave him a tip»(she referring to my sister) She then gives me a light patting on the back as a massage. After I am done, I go to meet my sister drying and she tells me that Jay, her dude, had said to her«wheres my money?» very rudely upon sitting down. When she replies that she is waiting for her sister before she pays, he tells her«well then you’re going to have to leave soon to open the seat for other people.» When she tells me this I am floored already by the long wait, rushed pedicure and now the attitude. I go to complain to Sunny the owner who proceeds to defend her employee saying, «we never say that she must have heard him wrong.» With so many bad experiences, I just don’t know what people see in this place. They don’t care about you, they just want their tips. If you want a great salon where they actually care about you, go to Flemington Nails.

The only reason I am giving two stars is because of the price, other than for purely financial reasons, I would not recommend going there to anyone. Even with appointments, we were still forced to wait an hour to get started. If I didn’t care about keeping to a schedule, I wouldn’t have made an appointment in the first place. To add to it, when I went to complain, the manger/owner or whatever asked me if I had somewhere to be as if it shouldn’t matter that I had an appointment to begin with. Service wise, they were average at best. Any simple design I asked for, they couldn’t do. To top it all of, they didn’t apologize or offer any discounts. Complete waste of money.
