My house’s sewer line was clogged. I called local plumbers for estimates, and they all wanted $ 300 – 400 to clear it out; some even wanted to charge an extra $ 50 – 80 just for showing up.
It finally dawned on me to call Roto Rooter. They were able to show up within 24 hours and clean the pipe for $ 170. They may have been able to come sooner with off-​hours pricing, but I didn’t ask. The cost includes a 3 month guarantee where they’ll fix the pipe again if it clogs in that time period.
The people who showed up were professional and courteous. They were also able to do everything from outside of the house, which I appreciated since the inside was pretty messy with the lack of a working drain line. They will be the first people I call if I ever have this issue again.
