LongHorn Steakhouse

I used to be a fan of this steakhouse when it first opened but no so much anymore.
I’d say over the course of the past two years, either the service or the food were just terrible! This past time which was just a few weeks ago, I got food poisoning from here. The steak must’ve been a bad piece of meat or something.
I’ll admit the serve was great but I had a terrible stomach flu all week and had to miss work because of it. Between bad service other times and bad/​wrong orders other times, I definitely will never come here again.

My last visit was on a Tuesday night around 6:30. There was no wait so we were promptly seated upon arrival.
We started with chili cheese fries and spicy chicken bites. Decent, but wouldn’t order either of them again. The chili cheese fries were very average and the chicken bites had more breading on them than chicken.
For dinner I ordered the Smokey Bacon Sirloin with mashed potatoes. Even though my plate was soaked in grease, the steak was cooked to my liking and very tasty. My sister ordered the Parmesan Crusted Sirloin and she was also very happy. Overall the food was satisfactory. The service we received is what impressed me more than anything.
Our server went above and beyond to assure we had the best possible dining experience. He was helpful, attentive, and super friendly. Our drinks were always full, and anytime we needed something, we didn’t wait more than a couple seconds.

Good experiences here only early in the day when it’s not too busy. Every time I’ve come here after 5pm it’s been terrible. From totally totally undercooked steak to huge lettuce chunks in the salad. It seems like the staff, servers, hostesses and cooks, do not work well when the place is busy. Everything is just all over the place.

Let me preface this review by saying that prior to this experience, I enjoyed Longhorn Steakhouse. Aside from the occasional over cooked steak (it’s a corporate steakhouse, and crazy busy, so understandable), I have never had anything but awesome things to say about it.
Tonight, my fiancé and I were in the mood for a good steak, so we decided to come back here. I suggested that he call ahead and he was quoted an hour and 15 mins, and his name was put on the list. We arrived an hour and 15 minutes later, and the hostess quotes him another 55 minutes. When asked about it, she said whoever we spoke with must have misquoted him…
At this point I am hungry. And angry. Hangry, if you will. So now it’s 7:15 on a Saturday night, and where the hell am I going to eat without waiting another hour and a half???
So of course, fuming and hangry, I’m sitting in the parking lot and I call. I play dumb and ask about call-​ahead seating. She now quotes me (5 minutes later) a 45 minute wait… then explains that if I put my name on the list now, when I come in in 45 minutes, MY NAME WILL BE AT THE TOP.
I then reveal my amazingly sneaky true self, and now she is backpedaling and apologizing and telling me about a rush… Just stop. I have worked in every level of dining from diners to James Beard. Just stop. I will never, ever come there again. Because your staff is ill-​informed and misleading. And you know that for every good experience shared with others, the negative experiences are shared tenfold.

Their hamburger had delicious charbroiled flavor. Came with fries on side. Didn’t care for their key lime pie. Server was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere and décor is attractive and in good taste.

First I’d like to mention that I’ve eaten at the top steakhouses in the Lehigh Valley area and all across the country but this particular evening I had my teenage grandson in town. I knew he could not appreciate a $ 150 meal so I decided to «scale it down» to something he would enjoy so we went here instead. The greet staff seemed «bothered» and walked us to our booth and just piled our napkins, silverware and menus in a pile and abruptly walked away. We waited 5 minutes without anyone coming to our table to even take a drink order. Finally a waiter in full stride dropped 2 coasters on our table and kept going. While we looked over the menu and was ready to order (still no drink order yet) we waited another long 5 minutes and no one showed up. At this point I’m all steaming and frustrated at such poor service that I got up and told my grandson «let’s get the hell out of here now». We just left and went across the street where the service and food was excellent. Needless to say I left my waitress a nice tip as usually ! I’ll NEVER attempt to eat at LongHorn Steakhouse again!!!

My wife enjoyed the Flat Iron Steak and I had the Ribeye. Both cooked to our liking.
Stuffed baked potato and the sweet potato with brown sugar and butter were great.
The drinks, food and service were excellent.

Took my husband here for his birthday 3÷3÷15. because he loves steak. We have been to others steak house, But he said that here was the best steak house ever. He wants to come back soon with the family. Our server was very friendly polite very well experienced … It was an amazing place to visit…

Always have good time there! Prices are reasonable. Interior is very welcoming, location is great. Service was great every time)

Came here with the Fam, few times at that. The Jalapeño shrimp here are mouthwatering, don’t forget the extra tartar, totally off the chains.
The steaks are pretty good, but not all that palatable. The portions are large, so try not to scarf down too much of their soft bread and warm bread.

Dinner with my better half. The Mushroom and truffle bisque was delicious. Followed by a cesear salad and then the Cheddar and bacon stuffed fillet with potato and leak Au gratin. It was delicious. The staff was on point and our drink never ran out.

I had dinner here last weekend and it was the best steak I ate at a restaurant in years. I’m not very particular about food but the meal was outstanding.
I really liked the feel of the restaurant. It was decently full but didn’t feel overcrowded or noisy at all. They have a solid wait staff and the food came out fairly quickly.
Would be a 5 star review except my salad wasn’t great and I never had my drink refilled while eating my meal. That being said I will come back soon because their menu has a lot to offer.

terrible… this is the 2^nd time we were here with an awful meal… my husband got ribs & they basically just threw sauce on them… I had the parm crusted chicken which was ok, my veggies looked old they were brown… My son got a grilled cheese & the cheese wasnt even melted. The best part about it was the water. We wont be back after trying for a 2^nd time.

Everything about this place was bad. The service, atmosphere and food was not worth the price we paid. There’s definitely better steakhouses in the LV than this.

Lobster & shrimp appetizer, good. 6oz sirloin with grilled shrimp, and grilled corn on the cob with baked sweet potato, good.
Service was questionable in the past but no complaints today

So disappointing! My dad found a broken piece of plastic in his bacon wrap steak. Glad he didn’t swallow it.

Only Bud Light and Miller Light on draft. So far, we got bread, no silverware, had to ask. Had to dip bread right into the butter, starving, we asked for more bread. We got bread, no extra butter, and finally silverware with cloth napkin.
Salads came. Mine was a chunk of yellow iceberg lettuce with a tiny slice of red onion, about 5 small tomato chunks, and many croutons. I moved the solid clump of yellow with my knife and figured this would be a very average eating experience, despite the beautiful atmosphere. I sent the salad back. Then, I was pegged. A young man wearing smart casual walked past and looked at me, and my server pointed me out to another server (so she looked at me too). They would not make good spies, no.
The server returned with a new salad, said the manager said to make mine (remember, I was «pegged» at this point) with Romaine. Woo hoo! It was great, what I should have gotten the first time.
Well, the entrees came while I was less than halfway through my delightful salad. That is a pet peeve of mine, grrrr…
My ribeye was absolutely done perfectly medium, just as I asked (but I always emphasize it must be MEDIUM when I order or I send it back, yeah.). A note here: The menu just says «Ribeye. 11oz, $ 19.49». I will tell you that if you do not like any spice/​kick in your food, you will not like it. It is blackened perhaps and has a spicy kick. I happen to like spicy food so I loved it. 11 oz. is actually quite big!
My companion ordered Flat Iron Steak, medium. It was bordering well done. I encouraged her to send it back. Her second steak was medium and much better. The manager apologized. Again, the steak should have been right the first time. She had to watch me eat mine. Another pet peeve of mine.
The restrooms don’t seem to be attended to all night.
Overall, we had a nice meal, after all that, eventually. I expected more because my first experience here was fantastic, but after tonight, I realize, hey, it’s «just a chain». Atmosphere is just the icing on the cake, the food must come first.

I recently tried the blackened salmon. I thought it was pretty good. Couldn’t understand why it was more than the ribeye I really wanted to get. Whatever! The blackened salmon is typically served with cheddar grits. Ummm gross. I substituted the grits for the seasoned rice pilaf, my favorite anyways. The restaurant is one of our consistently good spots.

My experience here was good. We ordered the stuffed cheese mushrooms as a appetizer and a iron steak medium rare as my dinner.
My steak was cooked right and the appetizer was very flavorful.
Our waitress was very attentive and gave us the essentials we asked for (steak sauce, extra napkins, refills).
Good experience, I’m satisfied.

Stopped by for a rather impromptu lunch this week right after they opened at 11am and everything was pleasantly unremarkable.
They had almost no servers working yet so the bartender was covering the bar and a several tables that were already full and she managed to keep up fairly well.
We ordered a burger that was cooked as asked and the Parmesan Crusted Chicken was which ordered as the sandwich but showed up as the entrée, at the sandwich price thankfully, and both were solid.
Overall it’s still a 3 star place to me because while nothing was terribly wrong nothing was noteworthy or outstanding either.
Same stuff you could get at Applebee’s, Friday’s, or Ruby Tuesday.
