Cold beer, good pizza and nice atmosphere! Night 2 here. The blackened rib eye was amazing and the filet was on point. We ate at the bar both nights and the service and food was great. We will be back.

We just had dinner here this week, and the staff were pleased to announce their«new» menu. We had high hopes, intending to have a special dinner for a very special guest, and we spent $ 340 for our meal(tip included). Unfortunately, while the food wasn’t «bad,» it certainly wasn’t awesome. I’ve had better food for $ 10. As I leave this review, please keep in mind that I had extremely high expectations based on the price. In particular, we ordered their new Grilled Elk Tenderloin entrée. The elk was the WORST preparation I’ve ever had of this wonderful game animal. As a Montana hunter, I’ve eaten plenty of elk, and this was just unacceptable. Our guest was from a foreign country and we convinced him to try it for the first time since we regard to be one of the best meats in the world. However, I doubt our guest would ever try it again. It was nearly burnt on the outside, it had obviously been sitting around because it wasn’t warm when he got it, and it had very sad attempt at a demi glacé sauce. We had it sent back to be served warm and without the sauce. We also ordered the Duck Two Ways entrée. The description was very misleading. It described it as «spiced duck breast» and«duck confit salad.» I was expecting two different kinds of duck preparations on my plate, but was sadly disappointed. There was only one type of duck served – in a very small amount – and it was definitely not what I would consider«spiced» because it was very bland and had no sauce either. The few chunks of duck were surrounded by seemed to be fresh herbs/lettuce mixed up in mashed potatoes.(Personally, I prefer my salad and my mashed potatoes to be separate, thank you.) I felt hungry when this was finished, ripped off because there were not two types of duck, and puzzled by what exactly they were trying to make with the rest of the items on the plate. The only reason I’m leaving 2 stars is that the wait-staff were very professional and the atmosphere is quite classy. They did serve us a very nice salad and nice french onion soup. If you are looking for better food – especially at this price point – I would highly recommend that you check out the White Lake Restaurant on the golf course. The food is similarly priced, but it is much better. We also ate at JAGZ in Kalispell with our guest, and we were much happier with the experience. The food was better, we left extremely full, and the price was less than half.

We have eaten here several times and always had good food, but terrible service. It seems things have flip flopped. Christmas dinner 2015 started out great with an excellent waitress, but the meal was less than stellar. It was a very busy night but how do you run out of prime rib in the first hour? We ordered steaks and they were cooked perfectly, but the cut of meat was mediocre at best and tough. The rainbow trout was cooked to death and was removed from our bill, rightfully so. We will go again for a cocktail because of the people and great service, but will think twice about dinner. There are a ton of good eateries in Whitefish and the Boat Club needs to step up their game.

Come on Boat Club. Had lunch with a friend todsy. Food was lousy. Service horrid. Wasn’t crowded. Can understand why. Beautiful place. .but very inconsistent.

Had the most enjoyable evening sitting by the window taking in the views while dining at The Boat Club last night. The service was absolutely outstanding despite our large group. Tried all the appetizers; my personal favorites are mussels, elk meatballs, shrimp scampi and crab and salmon dip. If you have to choose one go for the elk meatball, it has a nice thin crust and interesting sauce. I had the clams for entrée which was ok. The mussels were better. But I tried the Special, blacken ribeye, and it was amazing! Strongly recommend the huckleberry mud pie for dessert. Yum! Once again the views were spectacular!

I’ve been driving by this place for years, but it’s always so packed that i just haven’t gone in. Last weekend with family in town we decided to go on Sunday morning for breakfast and some great views with the awesome weather were having late season. There were only a few tables filled but only one window seat left that had not been bussed. We politely asked the server if she would bus the table when she was free so we could enjoy the view. She snarled, then abruptly bussed the table for us. Her tune changed quickly and the service turned around. Unfortunately, the food was fair to awful. My wife ordered eggs Benedict, the muffins were burnt, the ham was 3⁄8th of an inch thick with unrenderd fat on it and the hollandaise was broken. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, which was fair, but my over easy eggs were raw. our guests meals were ok. Hopefully this was an isolated incident, but i won’t be back, and i don’t recommend breakfast. Maybe dinner and drinks by the water are the ticket.

Fantastic setting, high quality food products, good portion size, interesting menu. Great selection of steaks. Elk meatballs are very good. Slightly overlooked so ask for medium rare on ALL meat dishes. Ask for PDR(private dining room) for any special occasion.

We had a very good dinner(fish and chips). We were there for the show in the evening and hung around. The servers were very patient with us because we didn’t order cocktails constantly. We didn’t want to get smashing drunk before the show. After all, the entertainer was a friend of mine. The cocktails were very good. The sunset was beautiful over the lake and glad we were able to see it.

Wonderful meal. Outstanding service. Nice host staff. Delightful menu. Excellent view. Reasonable prices. Fabulous food. Unique appetizers. Lovely evening. WONDERFUL. Seriously wonderful. OK I don’t usually do something so cheesy but I was so happy with my meal that I felt the need to something special. The food really was delicious and my server(Brandon) really took the time to make the evening special. My mom, husband, and I wanted a nice meal after a long day of exploring Glacier. We were recommended the Lodge by someone in town as a place to get a great burger while also enjoying the view of Whitefish lake. We had already filled up on huckleberry pie so we weren’t super hungry but we did want a good meal away from the heat. We saw the menu while waiting to be seated and instantly decided on what we wanted, but when we sat down we noticed the menus were different. Turns out the lounge and the dining room have two different menus but our server didn’t miss a beat. When we mentioned it, he quickly brought us the lounge menus and emphasized that we could order whatever we would like. We were instantly happy with his flexibility and attentiveness and the evening just went up from there. My mom ordered the southwest salad and my husband and I decided to spilt the Cadillac burger. We also ordered the boat chips as an appetizer. We were given a valley of bread to munch on while we waited and Brandon and the other servers were super attentive, making sure our drinks(water or otherwise) were always full. Our food all came out quickly and everything was delicious. The chips were crunchy and flavorful, the burger(done well) was juicy, and the salad was crisp and delicious. Top that of with a great view of the lake and $ 5 draught beer and you have an amazing evening in the works. The excellent service was just icing on an already delicious cake but hey, what’s a cake without icing? I seriously recommend this place. The décor can be a little stuffy and the prices for entrees are a little steep but the quality of the food makes it worth it.

View is amazing. That was the only good thing about our night. The service was terrible. They did not have many choices of vodka but the waiter did not know that. He kept going back and forth to let us know we were asking for something they did not have. Not talking about unusual brands, Smirnoff and Ketel One. After having to wait for a very long time for our first round of drinks, the waiter finally brought us some and told us that the drinks were on him. They were on the bill at the end of the dinner. We also had to wait a very long time for our dessert. The waiter actually came by to let us know that the manager would be bringing it out to us promptly. About 5 minutes later she did. All she said to us was to be careful because it was hot because it had just come out of the oven, then she walked away. It was ice cold. We told the waiter we were no longer interested. The food was just okay. Spent 120.00 for a frustrating dinner.

This place is completely hit or miss. When it’s a hit, it’s totally recommendable. When it’s a miss, it’s so dissapointing. Tonite, it’s recommendable. Its fabulous actually. Firstly, The Boat Club has superb ambience and of course the views and location are ideal. It’s what draws us to try this place time and again. Secondly, service is really what makes this place not recommendable at times. The last time we came we were seated but not acknowledged for a good 20 minutes. Tonite: 5 stars for service! Waiters and waitresses were crawling all over the place. And it was packed and they still offered fantastic service. Thirdly, food is almost always on point. Tonite we had the Alaskan Salmon BLT. Served with some of the best fries on the planet, it’s made with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Swiss, Avocado Purée, and Artichoke Caper Tartar Sauce on a Telera Roll. We also had Great Northern Penne with Arugula, Broccolini, Sun-Dried Tomato, and Pesto Cream Sauce. The pesto cream sauce was perfection. In fact, the pasta I chose was gluten free and it wasn’t the best I’ve had; it lacked chew. But the cream sauce was so fabulous, I could have eaten it with cardboard. The portions are generous and so are the drinks. Remember: Based on history, it’s hit or miss. If you gotta have the view, enter at your own risk.

Nice view of the lake, and an enjoyable meal. The price are a bit high, but the service and food is very tasty. For a hotel restaurant it has a bit more personality than most I’ve been to for breakfast. I had an eggs benedict, and the poach was perfect, as well as the nice thick cut ham. The hollandaise was a bit off in terms of consistency, but still tasty. The service here was top-notch, the server made great small talk and recommendations for things to do. Nice experience, but a little too expensive for breakfast food.

Ordered room service. On the positive, the order was delivered promptly. The chicken drummettes appetizer was ok. They forgot the blue cheese dressing and our soda, requiring a phone call and a 2nd delivery. Not the end of the world, obviously… Don’t order a pizza as you will be disappointed and it may spoil your craving for pizza at a much better place on a different evening. We picked this restaurant for convenience after a long day of skiing. Next time, we will be sure to sacrifice convenience for a better meal.

I have given this place three tries. The third time was the last draw. We went for a birthday party with a group of about twelve people. It was very cool at first. The Valet parking was great and the people were very friendly. I happily gave them a tip. When we arrived into the restaurant we heard live music and a lot of people. Thinking this was going to be great we headed to our seats. When we sat down the waitress was so rude I could not bear her. It took her 45 min to take your order and our friend ordered a martini and that took about an hour and a half. I even went up to our waitress and told her she has been waiting for over and hour. I could not be leave what she did next. She went over and with a snobby attitude asked my friend if she still wanted her drink. Of course she said yes and said I am not going to pay for it. When she finally got her chocolate Martini. It was fine but not worth waiting an hour and a half. Another friend ordered a second drink and never received it. The food was a joke. I mean you pay over thirty bucks a entrée and get this garbage. Its not worth the drive. i would of rather drove to Jags in Kalispell the dealing with our crappy waitress. I cant list all the meals we ate but I do remember the steak bites and they had no flavor. Very DISAPPOINTED Oh and after our meal our waitress tried to charge us extra. I wish I could remember her name because she should never serve people with the crappy attitude and snobby facial expressions. If you decide to go here try your best to avoid the old lady waitress you will hate your life after dealing with her. I will never go back because of her. One Star for the Valet Thanks guys. If they fix the problems I will change my stars accordingly… But three times and still garbage COMEONGUYS

We went to the Boat Club for lunch. Be aware that they serve lunch in the bar area, not the dining room. There are many high top tables and then a few regular tables. The high tops are near the windows and block the view if you are at one of the lower tables. We went in winter and the view that we saw of Whitefish Lake was beautiful. I imagine that in Summer it is even better. Our waitress was ditsy. She forgot to service me my iced tea until I prompted her. She asked my friend if he wanted cream in his coffee and then forgot to bring it. She did not bring my credit card receipt until I showed her that there was something amiss. We had the wild mushroom ravioli, which was excellent and a large portion. No issues there. They also had free valet parking which was a huge help as my friend is currently using a walker to get around.

Usually excellent. NOT this time. Super loud music started at 7 pm. Couldn’t talk. Ruined dinner. Fish and chips served cold. Yuck, how terrible. Unforgivable. Friday night headache before drinking.

Had late breakfast here Thursday. I ordered Eggs Benedict Florentine, Wife ordered Greek omelet with wheat toast. The food was prepared well. I liked the Eggs. Had to ask the server to bring toast that was ordered. All in all, the meal was in line with what I expected — nothing special but not dismal. The meal was about $ 28. Service was cordial, but appeared to be distracted. We may try lunch there soon.

The service was top notch, from the valet to the hostess, and our waiter. Restaurant also has great views, and if the weather was a little warmer when we visited it would have been perfect to sit outside as well. There was live music by the bar on Friday when we visited. We loved everything we had except the Elk meatballs. But that was only really our 2nd time having elk so it’s not like we’re experts or anything. All the salads we had at the table were delicious. Tuna Tataki good, we had another special that I can’t remember but it was thinly sliced beef and that was delicious. Our table also had the stir fry and the Filet and all was enjoyed. Great combination of setting, service and food.

Great place to have dinner. Great food and excellent service! Ask for a table by the window, the view is spectacular when the sun is going down. The entire staff was so friendly, kind, and professional. Brandon was our server. He was excellent. We took his reccommendation on the New York Strip and Elk Ragu and huckleberry icecream. They were amazing dishes. The shrimp scampi appetizer and french onion soup were phenomenal too. Brandon made our dining experience a great one and I would love to go back!
