This place was wonderful, I was like a kid in a candy store. A must for you V-2 rocket fans since here is one of the most complete in existence;the rocket lies horizontally w/i a protective bldg with certain panels removed so that one can observe the key internal components. This example was the range’s last remaining example and so the rocket underwent a complete restoration in 2002. The paint scheme is that of yellow and black, like the one first tested here after WWII, 1946. Also heart stopping was seeing among other things a Pershing II(one of six in the US) and launcher.

This is more a tip than a review — the museum is only open during the week, as we found out the hard way when attempting to stop by on a Sunday.

This place was fantastic. My family really enjoyed looking at the missiles that were on display in the outside area and going inside the museum and looking at all the history from White Sands Missile Range throughout the decades of missile testing. If you are interested in artillery, military history, or even US history then you should go. Plan to be there half a day or more. You will find yourself more interested then you thought you would be.
