The Pear Farm is a family home that also serves as inn and campground. The family welcomes campers in their orchard and guests in the old farmhouse. As the owners say, the property is certainly a work-in-progress, both inside and out, but quite a peaceful getaway. Guests have access to the kitchen, hot tub, and large porch, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and stargazing. Guests are welcome to pick pears, and a stroll to the back of the orchard reveals an impressive view of Mt Hood. The farm is kid friendly, with farm animals including pigs and miniature donkeys. Staying here reminded me somewhat of a more glamorous hostelling experience while hiking through the European countryside. Find them on facebook or Airbnb.
