Horrible BBQ. I ordered the beef brisket and they put it in the microwave to heat up. A small Walmart 20 $ microwave. It literally went«ding!» and he took it out and handed it to me. I travel the country and this is by the far the worst I’ve experienced. Also they overcharged me, and as I went back to ask about to charges he handed me money back before I said anything. That would imply to most, that he knew. We also had a sweaty employee stand in front of the fan that was blowing on us so he could cool off. Absolutely just a horrible experience. Please stay away.

As mentioned by a few other reviewers, Mr B’s has picked up roots after 17 years in White Post and moved up the road to the southern outskirts of Berryville. The new address is 6967 Lord Fairfax Highway, Berryville, VA22611. From what I could tell, the menu is exactly the same, but the customer activity on weekends is much busier. Interestingly, a new barbeque joint(Frontier BBQ Pit) has opened at the former Mr B’s location in White Post. I stopped by this weekend and will be posting a review soon.

Look for the pig by the road. Delicious Bar-B-Que. Actually, I don’t know from which road to look for the pig. It looks like Mr. B’s has gone to a better place a little closer to Bar-B-Que heaven. Dan B says ‚”“New Location Rt. 340& Pigeon Hill Road” in his pic.

Have tried most of their primary offerings over the years, usually when we’ve been staying at L’Auberge Provencale down the road a bit. This is a solid, if not spectacular, Virginia BBQ joint, that cooks with real wood — more and more a rarity these days because of health laws, food police, global warming, and efficient gas cookers. Place is not much to look at(I’ve found this to be a good sign for BBQ and Hot Dog joints), mostly takeout, with some outside tables. Almost always a few big trucks in the lot — another good sign. All the cooked products have a good smoky flavor, though I’m not the biggest fan of the sauces here. The pork is the best item here, followed by the ribs — the chicken, I’ve found to be inconsistent in flavor. I even tried the fried seafood, and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor and freshness. The potato salad is nice in flavor, but the consistency bothers me. The slaw is nice, and marries well with BBQ Pork on the sandwich. All in all, a good point of opportunity BBQ joint.

Sorry I can only give this place 2.5 stars. We had the pulled pork sandwich and it was way too salty. Don’t expect any ambiance or service here neither. There is a reason the call this a BBQ pit.

What a surprise! And I love surprises! We drive by Mr. B’s all the time and decided to stop in today — in a torrential downpour. The place is mostly takeout, although there are a few picnic tables outside. There smokehouse & grill is right next to the building. BBQ sandwich was REALLY good and came with cole slaw — a must for me. I also love trying potato salad wherever I go and Mr. s B’s was quite tasty. My hubby also got the BBQ sandwich with onion rings. Rings were really good and tasted homemade. We were in between errands so we just ate in the car. I can totally see this as a stop off point to buy BBQ and its accoutrement by the pint/quart. They also offer fried fish, chicken, ribs and other tasty dishes. Staff was incredibly courteous, joking with the customers. And even in the rain, Mr. B’s was hopping with people running in and out for lunch. My belly highly recommends Mr. B’s and I look forward to going back. 2BBQ sandwiches, order of onion rings, cup of potato salad, bottled water and bottle of Coke — $ 18. Totally worth it! Note: They only accept cash or check, so bring a $ 20.

Might not look like much, at first glance, but the food is excellent. In my opinion, this is one of the best BBQ joints in the area.
