Apparently we have a nest of yellow jackets in an outer wall of the house. Now that the weather is getting cooler, they’ve been coming in to our bedroom and family room through the walls.
I called Westex and Jack came by this morning. After spending some time looking at where the yellow jackets came in, he told us that there isn’t much to be done. Yes, they could remove insulation and wallboard to locate and destroy the nest but the yellow jackets are in the process of dying off and the problem would resolve itself shortly. Then he gave us a few ideas to keep the yellow jackets at bay until nature took care of them.
Although he spent some time and shared his considerable knowledge with us, Jack didn’t charge for the visit or the advice. We now know who we’ll be calling the next time we need these services.
