Saveway Drive In Cleaners & Launderers

DISGUSTED!!!
I brought in a Vineyard Vines tote and asked if they could clean it, explaining that the trim was silk. I was told «yes» after two people looked at it, one being the owner. I waited a week longer than promised before it was ready. When I took it home and removed the plastic I noticed that it was discolored. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the silk trim was torn and frayed in several places. I called the store and was told to bring the bag in, which I did immediately. The manager looked at the tote and said, «Why are you getting so upset? It’s just a sack.» Then I told him that I was upset because it was ruined and it would cost about $ 100 to replace it he said, «That’s just stupid.» I explained that I had asked if they could do the job and that it would have been ok if they had said no, but to destroy my property and then act like it was my fault for bring it in was an outrage. He said that he would have to speak to the owner and would call me the next day. He did not call by later afternoon so I went to the store. He said that the owner said he wasn’t paying for the bag. I asked for my tote and a refund of what I paid for cleaning, I mean destroying, the bag. The manager (Larry) was rude, unresponsive, and unapologetic. Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
I’m not a vicious person, and very rarely do I raise a stink about poor service. I generally assume the risk of my purchase decisions, Caveat Emptor, and all that. But this is an exception. Be aware that this place is the WORST.

CRAZY EXPENSIVE! Next time my wife puts clothes in there I’m just going to go out and buy new clothes, it will be cheaper.
