Best Mexican food in Westchester… by far! Burrito is massive, avocado is fresh, fries are incredible, prices are more than fair. Without question, I will be going back, probably sometime this week. Would give it 5 but I mean, it’s takeout Mexican…

This restaurant does not deserve a star, my wife had beef fajitas and I had the chicken quesadilla, both were cook well done they were both uneatable. We will not return to this restaurant. The only thing that tasted good was a bottle of Pepsi. We will not recommend this place to anyone.

Really solid food and very reasonably priced. Service was friendly. My wife and I split the steak chimichanga and the pork tacos. Tacos were great and very authentic and stuffed with meat. The steak in the chimichanga was tough but overall it had good flavor. Next time I would get the chicken or pork as the meat filling.

For some reason, three of the better inexpensive Mexican restaurants in Westchester have decided to congregate at the northern end of Central Avenue. Hidden away on a side street near White Plains Honda, Gourmet Laguna is the most charming, and arguably the best. There is a small dining room in front. On my first visit, a warming table held a good looking roast pernil and a fish dish, ready to eat/A lot of the business is takeout, and this would seem to be a convenient option. In the back, a large patio has a funky charm and on a warm evening I can imagine it evoking memories of the home country. On a solo lunch, I went with a cemita filled with a beef milanesa. To pass the time I ordered chips and salsa($ 4.95). The chips took a while to come, arrived warm, accompanied by a «salsa» that was more like pico de gallo, fresh and delicious. The cemita arrived a minute later, enormous, delicious, but just a bit dry. If you go for it, make sure to request some of the red and green salsas. The watermelon agua fresca was excellent. On my second vist with a colleague, we started with nachos, the perfect accompaniment for our cervezas. At $ 7.95 they are a much better value than the chips. They were fairly typical, but elevated by above average guacamole. Our mains delighted, although the ample nachos had taken the edge off our appetites. Enchiladas with green sauce and chicken were decidedly better than the version I had eaten at Poblano, more tender, better filling, richer sauce and fresh avocado. The rice and beans were a bit of a let down, without much flavor. I prefer Poblano’s. My colleague was quite pleased with his tacos of carne asada, topped with whole grilled scallions. This was the kind of lunch where you violate the gourmet code and skip dinner, Recommended.

This has to be one of the best if not the best Mexican restaurant around White Plains, NY. It calls itself«Authentic MEXICAN Cocina» and per my wife also an Authentic Mexican, it is. The service is excellent, we once brought in a bottle of wine, they opened it and brought out wine glasses. Since then they now carry several selections of wine and I doubt you’ll be able to byob. We haven’t priced the bottles but I’m sure they too are reasonably priced just like their food is. The only problem I have with this place is that it’s off street parking. It hasn’t been and issue to us thankfully, don’t get between me and some good food. Overall, this place is great and if you are near then check it out you won’t regret it.

Nice little spot. It’s the only business on a very small street in an unassuming part of White Plains. Never knew it existed even though I’ve passed the street a million times. We went with the cheeseburger and chicken taco specials along with a piece of tres leches cake. I’m not going to say it was life changing or anything but everything was solid. The tacos were fresh, had good cuts of chicken, and came with a few spicy sauces on the side which we loved. The burger was surprisingly good. Nice amount of char, a bit overcooked from what I requested, but quite delicious nonetheless. Loved the way they toasted up the bun and added a bit of mayo to it. Delicious. Fries were sensational. I think it was something like $ 16 for the 2 meals and each one was huge. Three of us easily split everything and there was a lot left over as well. Worth checking out for sure.

Complimentary tortillas and salsas were delicious! We had the Tacos Al Pastor and a Vegetable Quesadilla. The quesadilla presentation was impressive, it was loaded with goodness, and tasted fresh, but the vegetables were steamed/boiled without any seasoning(which would’ve been nice). But they gave us another green salsa(presumably tomatillo) with our meals and that was a great accompaniment to the quesadilla. Tacos al Pastor had wonderful flavor and were really meaty. They also serve Mexican beer and a good selection Mexican sodas — I had the Sidral(apple soda). Would definitely come back again!

I’ve been working on Central Avenue for 12 years now. So I am always looking for new spots to get lunch & dinner at and on the way home from work. I am ecstatic that I finally walked into Laguna a couple months ago. The guy who is the cook there KNOWSHOWTOCOOK… PERIOD… Anything he makes will be at least good, most of it will be great. The potatoes & meatballs, stewed fish with vegetables and the potatoes with sausage/eggs/peppers could not get any better. If you want a great home cooked meal for 7.95, this is the place to go. Their rotation of hot food has a huge variety of dishes, which could be seen as good or bad depending how you look at it. Unlike a spot like Lola’s in Yonkers, you can’t always count on your favorite dish being there. But like I said, something good will always be there for you. On the not as positive side, I’ve heard people RAVE about the tacos here. I would have to say their tacos are good 7 out of 10 maybe, but not nearly on the level of most of their hot prepared foods. Gallo deli in Dobbs Ferry still has the best tacos in the area(chorizo especially).

The best and most authentic Mexican food(NOT Tex-Mex) in the area here — and at a great price. This place may escape your notice unless you’re looking for it, but it’s a hidden gem. The quesadillas are enormous and stuffed with goodness, the mole is divine. Lovely little patio hidden in the back. This is not a glamorous place at all, but the food makes up for it!
