Horrible experience! Aries Wines is the featured local business on a Groupon email I just received this week. I purchased the Groupon($ 15 off $ 30 purchase), printed out the voucher and went to the store where I selected items totalling $ 44 for purchase. There was an older man and a younger man. They both looked at my Groupon and told me they haven’t used Groupon in at least 2 years and that I had been holding on to it too long. I told them I had just purchased it from a featured email and the older man said he didn’t believe that! I pointed to the November 2016 expiration date and the older man said«that’s what I’m saying… this is old!»(?) He begrudgingly said he would honor it but continued to insist that it wasn’t a valid Groupon and continued to ask me where I got it. I repeated my story several times, while he repeated that he didn’t believe me!!! I pointed out that their argument was with Groupon, not me, as other potential customers would undoubtedly purchase this Groupon and come into their store. The owner told me he doubted that! I was astounded that this business owner I had never met was calling me a liar as I prepared to make a purchase in his store. I was insulted, lost my temper and left the store, taking my Groupon with me. Good luck all ye Groupon holders… this business owner is the worst.

Went in here for the first time today with a Groupon deal. I don’t usually come to this area of White Plains very often, but figured I’d give it a try. Glad I did! Great shop with a great selection and at reasonable prices. They carry a few Elsa Bianchi wines that I like and often do not see in other wine shops. They even have a temperature controlled back room with additional selections. The staff was very friendly and helpful without being pushy. There is also a parking lot(free) on the side of the building in case you can’t find street parking out front. Definitely will return.

Nice little wine shop with an interesting mix of wines available. I found some stuff that I’ve never seen before. Some of the wines are arranged by region which makes the store easy to navigate. The owner was friendly and the prices are reasonable.

I was pleasantly surprised when I went into this wine store. Such a gem to find in White Plains(not the best area either). The owners, Tony Russo and Andrea Kish, are one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. Talk to them for some interesting conversations! Of course they don’t have as much selection as the giant Wine Warehouse, but they are much more selective in their offerings, and you can be sure to find amazing wines at every corner. The décor and layout make you want to explore the store for hours(hint: they have a special climate-controlled room in the back for special wines). Looking for unique liquor and spirits? This is the place to try! They also have lots of events going on(I walked in on a wine class once). Bottom line, I can’t rave about this place enough. I’m so lucky it’s on my drive home!
