Wash Me Car Wash

My car was literally encrusted with MONTHS of dirt, salt, & mud. Last time I took it through the touchless auto wash at the gas station across the street as it was in a similar state. Theirs was broken indefinitely so I took my car to Wash Me today. I asked for the Deluxe wash, just a step above the Basic at $ 5.50. They have 2 guys that spray your car down with high power jetted water. 1 takes your payment before he gets to work. Tip these guys now if you’re so inclined (gave them $ 2). At the end they usually have a towel dry guy or two. This time there was one and gave him the other $ 2 I had in reserve.
When I got out of the car while running an errand, I was pleasantly surprised to see how shiny and clean it was. It wasn’t super perfect in some spots due to the drying efforts, but I wasn’t expecting super perfect for what I paid either. Considering the last review, I think a job more well done has to do with the 1^st water jet guys spraying your car down really well. I saw them do a thorough job on the pickup in front of me and felt they took an invested amount of time with my vehicle. Again, my car was seriously crusty (I live on a long dirt driveway) and the touchless gas station autowash ALWAYS leaves residual crust with the equivalent of the Basic ($ 4) & Deluxe washes I’ve gotten there. And I can definitely say my car never came out of their wash with an undeniable sheen. Now I’ll invest in a little tippage to get a cleaner, shinier car & will be sure to give the guys at the beginning of the wash an extra few dollars and a wink before they go to town.
They do take credit cards, but I would try to do cash with the tips to ensure a good job and avoid weirdness.
