Do yourself a favor and find another contractor. Straitline took my parents’ money and never finished their dinning room addition and porch. Straight line(Blair the owner, I think) left the wall up to the main house so my parents couldn’t use their new addition; he said that removing the wall wasn’t in the contract… seriously??? You hire someone to build an addition on a house and your don’t remove the wall so they can use the addition? come on… The new door going outside would not open and close properly because they never hung it right; Blair said it was because it was«a cheap door» which it wasn’t. I helped my 67 year old father rehang the door and we had most of it fixed in about an hour. It works much better now and I’ve never hung a door in my life before this. The roof he put on looks like crap, the flashing isn’t finished and I can still see exposed wood. This project started back in January and it is now May 2015. It should have been a project that took a few weeks. He consistently didn’t show up when he said that he’d be there and never returned phone calls. There are so many things that he didn’t finish on this project to list in this review. Straight Line Roof(Blair) is the typical Sullivan County Contractor that everyone jokes and complains about. I’ve been telling people in the Bethel Area about my parents experience with Straight Line and I’ve had a few people tell me that this wasn’t the first horror story that they’ve heard about Straight Line Roofing. Save yourself the aggravation and learn from my parents mistake and find another Contractor. My parent’s did not hire the low bidder on the project, Straight Line was more money but still did a crap job. Now they have to hire another contractor to finish the project. My mother made the mistake of paying for almost all of this up front.
