The wait is usually pretty long. The wait staff isn’t always the friendliest or most attentive, the constant jazz music is super annoying, but the food is great. The coconut soup is pretty much the best soup anywhere(minus the cilantro of course) and the peanut curry is excellent. The restaurant is always clean. For the love of Christ turn off the $#@%ing jazz! How many of your friends like jazz? Unless you know the owner of Siam Fusion my guess is zero. Every time I go I get treated to at least an hour of it. The baby making music must go. It just flat out doesn’t fit.

I will save you the trouble of reading very good long reviews about Siam Fusion that basically say the same thing. So here it goes… The wait for food or takeout is often VERY long but the food is crazy good.

This evening my wife and I decided to stop in at Siam Fusion after not having been there in several years. Little did we know that the food and service had continued to be so good that this small local eatery had become very popular with foodies, that it has regular customers and often a significant waiting time. As an appetizer we shared as moist chicken satay which was nicely spiced and accompanied by some cool vegetables. We passed the time waiting up at our small counter seats watching the owner/chefs create each and every meal by hand and from start in the open kitchen. This is no fast food or typical«american chinese» restaurant! Thai is unique and different than chinese… the flavors and layering are truly wonderful and worth the wait. Both of our meals were fantastic. We’ll be back more and more often and will call ahead to see how the wait is going for this popular and yet small and quaint local restaurant.

First, we love the food. We have even waited hrs to eat because the owner is the only one doing all the cooking for each meal. I gave this rating 3 stars because of one single person who works there every day and as the manager. Now, I understand her job is high stress due to the time customers have to wait for their food. and she has been very pleasant when I am in there eating. But today I made a phone call around 1 to politely ask if they had a busy wait time. And her reply was«it’s the same as always» with a smirk… when I asked what that meant, because normally they freely tell me that it’s going to be an hour wait and it’s not an issue to ask and she chuckled and said we only have one person cooking and Very sarcastic. Why couldn’t she just simply say we are on a one hour wait. What’s up with the games and the attitude when I am calling to be courteous? Which made me upset because I wasn’t asking for anything other than timing which I normally am able to get and that they should be able to give. This person should not be a manager if they cannot accept that their store is going to be busy and customers are going to be asking questions THENTHEYNEEDANTHERJOB! She even hung up on me when I got upset. I then called back and. she put the phone down while I waited for 4 minutes. i let her know that she didn’t need to hang up on me that I was politely asking because I understand their business is busy. . when I ask to speak to a manager she let me know that she was the manager which I guess it means it’s OK for her to treat people terribly because her job is stressful. Sad thing is it wouldn’t even matter if I didn’t go back there anymore because they have such a client tell which means this woman can treat people however she wants when she is under pressure. Doesn’t matter. just know before going in there there are high wait times and if they have a lot of carry out orders they have to make those first so you will wait which is understandable but just beware

OHMYSWEETJESUS. Best Thai food I’ve ever eaten, hands down. I live in white lake and will be going back all the time. I think I may give up sushi nights for awhile. I dream of this food now! The first time we went, we thought damn, this is a crazy long time to wait for Thai food… Over an hour, at least 45 minutes after ordering. The waitress was really nice and offered shrimp chips(which tasted and smelled like leftovers from pet smart ;)! since we had been left waiting, I would not accept these again. That is the only reason I left off one star though, shrimp chips, maybe someone else likes em, but not us, we had a good laugh… BUTTHEFOODISWORTHTHEWAIT. Hot damn. I had the pad vermachelli(sp) and my fiancé had fried rice. We could not stop thinking about this food for two days, nothing satisfied us because it wasn’t this food! We went back for carry out two days later, and it was just as good! Stop griping about the wait. To have this Gem in our fast food crap wasteland of white lake is worth the wait! Thank you thank you thank you Siam Fusion!

Drove a hour to eat at my favorite place and the food was awesome as always ! Walk in the door at 4:00 on a Friday get told and hour wait mind you no one was in the restaurant… and because I chose to wait the older blonde waitress was quite the bitch, it’s a shame they keep her as an employee.

Really really good Thai food. Authentic and delicious. The wait can be LONG at times. But you can see from the dining area there is a very small kitchen, and every order is made as fresh as can be. If you’re not in a hurry this place is well worth the wait. I’ve yet to have better Thai anywhere.

Very very very slow service. Food is good but having an hour to wate for it is not worth the bad service. Last time here.

If you go here for lunch on a [non-holiday] weekday, enjoy yourself and forget all the other commentary here and elsewhere about slow service, poor waitstaff, etc. First of all, the food here is crazy good. I grew up in White Lake and for the better part of two decades, bemoaned the lack of anything other than burgers and Detroit-style(read: deep fried) Chinese within a good 30 min. drive. Then along came Siam Fusion, and it was like a beautiful Thai gift to my hometown. But unfortunately, it came with some negatives … for several years running, the service during a busy day is enough to drive anyone bonkers. And several hours to wait for take out? Forget it. Ain’t nobody got time for that, am I right? I’m just going to chalk it up to restauranteurs that have their cuisine on lockdown, and they don’t really care about improving their speed and/or service. If you can handle that, relax and enjoy. You’re in for a treat. If you can’t, well, White Lake and environs have grown substantially since the ‘80s and ‘90s … you can probably find somewhere else that will take your money ;)

The best Thai food around. I love their peanut curry, and I order it hot. The veggies are still crisp and the heat is perfect.

My wife had the Thai Legend Noodles. She absolutely loved it. And she’s pregnant, so anything that keeps her in a good mood is ideal. I hate Thai food, so I really can’t comment further, but she loves the place.

Siam Fusion is by far some of the best thai food around in the White Lake area. The food is always good and tasty. The only reason it gets 4 stars is that the service is always slow. I think that this is due to the kitchen and not the servers. I think it is worth the wait. The wait is shorter at lunch time and the lunch soup is awesome!

The food is decent, but they honestly have the worst service of any restaurant I have ever been to. I went in a few weeks ago — my colleague and I were in a hurry, so we called 30 minutes ahead with our order, but still waited another 30 minutes for our food upon arrival. Just tonight, I called for take-out, and they told me they were«done taking orders for the night.» At 8:00. On a Friday night. Needless to say, I won’t be back, and wouldn’t be disappointed if they closed. We could use more good restaurants around here.

After a busy day of Christmas shopping last month, my dad took me to his favorite Thai restaurant. He was always going on and on about amazing the food was at Siam Fusion… and now I see why. It’s located in a strip mall right off of the main road and very easy to spot. Highland Road can be busy, with lots of people turning in and out of businesses. So no matter how hungry you are, be careful pulling into their parking lot. The food is prcied very well based on quality and quantity. Appatizers range from $ 5-$ 8 and entrees range from $ 8-$ 14. Their menu is massive with tons to choose from — you’re guaranteed to find something you love! I was pleasantly surprised at how great the vibe was at this place! Their décor is beautiful, the restaurant is spotless and it“s cozy without feeling crowded. Perfect place to dine — especially during a day out with your dad :)

Best Thai food ever. They make everything fresh and without MSG. Yes the wait is long but never at lunch time. If you are going for dinner plan on two hours. We get carry out and I allow for at least an hour. The food is worth the wait. Staff is friendly and food is awesome. Make sure you get the soup. Pad Thai is my go to every time. This is a family owned business and they get the food out as fast as possible. So don’t go if you are in a hurry for dinner.

I have probably only actually gotten food 1 time out of the last 5 times I have called this place. I have been told 2x my food won’t be ready for 3hrs, or «we aren’t taking carry outs» only to go in the restaurant to see 2 tables filled n the restaurant mostly empty. The lady who usually answers the phone is very rude. If you make it past the 3 hour waits and rude staff the food is actually good even though the portions are on the smaller side.

Every time I try to order takeout from Siam Fusion, the wait is 1 to 3 hours. I just do not understand this. EVERY other Thai restaurant I have ever ordered from manages to get food out in a timely manner. The food is nothing special, and the prices are very high. They charged me $ 2 extra for beef instead of chicken… unheard of. Also, they once charged me $ 9 for Tom Yum soup. Someone please open another Thai restaurant in White Lake. These people need a healthy dose of competition.

Very good Pad Khing. The medium is a bit on the spicy side, so order mild if spices are a concern. I wanted to try their spring rolls and the two times I have been there, they have been out. I would have to say the best Pad Khing in the Waterford/White Lake/Commerce/West Bloomfield area. Take out does take some time so plan on it if you plan on carrying out.

I’ve heard good things about Siam Fusion for a while, so I decided it was time to give them a shot. I opted for gai pad king and pineapple-curry fried rice. The pad king was a revelation. The brown sauce tasted homemade, and they were pleasantly liberal with the ginger. It was so good, I was back two days later.(The rice was decent, too.) But when I came back to repeat my order, my experience was awful. Right off the bat, I said«chicken prad king» instead of «pad king». Totally my fault, I admit. I know better. The woman taking my order said«What?» as though I had come in and asked for guacamole stuffed lobster. I repeated myself, got another«What?», then said«chicken pad king». Having corrected my shameful faux pas, she allowed me to proceed. Thank you for upholding the sanctity of Thai menus, blonde Caucasian woman. With only one table that had customers, and another take-out order ahead of me, I was pretty surprised when she said«It should be ready in an hour.» «In an hour? I’m sorry, I think I’ll skip it tonight and know to call ahead next time.» You know, a polite«I don’t want to wait an hour, but I’m definitely coming back in the future.» She snapped at me: «Well, yeah, if you call ahead, then you don’t have to wait. It IS Friday. You know, we’re really busy.» As if to suggest that in 37 years, I’ve failed to understand the mechanics of ordering ahead of time — which is exactly what I would have done if their web site had a menu(or actually pointed to their web site, instead of a domain squatter’s landing page). Lucky me, someone in the kitchen rearranged the tickets, and said«20 minutes». I asked her if that meant my order would be done in 20 minutes(for all I knew, he could have meant that she could take a break in 20 minutes, or he could have been talking about another order). «Well, he just moved everything around, so I guess so.» Geez. Sorry to have inconvenienced you, while you attend to all of these empty tables. To her point, it WAS Friday, and the dining room was practically a ghost town. Seems that nobody wants to put up with the service, so they get take-out. Not too long after, I called up around 6:15 on a Thursday. I thought I was golden. Little did I suspect: «We’re not gonna be ready until 7:30. Is that okay?» Uh… no. The food isn’t THAT good. We’re over, Siam Fusion.
