Johnny’s Pizzeria

For delivery to our stay at the Hanover Marriott one afternoon, we ordered the «deep dish» pizza, and while not the Chicago-​style we’d expected, the Sicilian style thick-​crust pizza that we got was quite tasty and fresh, with lots of good quality cheese and extremely large slices. One thing that I didn’t like that some probably will is that the pizza sauce contains large flakes of tomato, which I felt made it a bit too sharp.

Food was good. However I ordered thru grubhub. And explicitly put in instructions for my sandwich Not to have meat on it, yet they sent me a turkey sandwich. I also put a note in the order for the delivery NOT call my hotel room and gave my cell phone number, again that was a fail. Hope for their continuous grubhub business they READ the notes put in the order by the customer.
Overall I was frustrated with experience

Super fresh pizza, tasty marinara on the pasta, and the first delivery guy to actually bring the food to my hotel room instead of making me run to the lobby to fetch it. Great job! I’ll be ordering again!

The food was good. Their bruschetta pizza received a lot of praise. The online ordering system is really convenient. I was able to place my lunch time order before they were open.

I was at Johnny’s a few months ago and had a slice of pizza and a calzone. Now I grew up eating pizza at Johnny’s when he was on Main Street across from Washington School in West Orange. All I can say is after all these years, Johnny hasn’t lost his touch. He must use the same ingredients that he used 30 years ago, because his pizza taste exactly the same, so much, that it brought me back to when I used to run across the street from Washington School during lunch recess and grab 2 slices and a fountain soda for $ 2.25…

Was looking for a good pizza spot, so of course I Unilocal what’s in the area and it brought me here. I only had 2 pepperoni slices to go but the slices were so good. Good sauce, cheese, crust and not oily like other places. I would def come here again and try more of what they have.

From a girl who’s «last meal» request would be pizza, Johnny’s passes the test & is the real deal. Family is genuinely from Italy… and their food shows it. This is the type of local place your family goes to week after week (well, mine does…) and the owners know you (not just me, but dining in & seeing the interactions of customers coming & going, you’ll know what I mean!). Their pizza is great, but I’m an especially big fan of their sandwiches. Good size, delicious, and a good price. what more can you ask? I wanted to leave this review because depending where you live, they are kind of «hidden».at least I thought so. I live on the other side of Parsippany & am up and down Route 10 all the time. For a long time I didn’t know where they were, but they are right off 10 behind Billy’s Red Room!
Highly recommended in my book. Good food, great people, and good value. #YUM

I’ve had Johnny’s twice and each time it was great! I’ve had sausage and broccoli rabe sandwich, chicken and broccoli rabe sandwich, and baked ziti. Next time will be pizza!

I have to say, I’ve tried Johnny’s once before and ordered two slices and a meatball parm. Neither impressed me at all. The meatballs had no taste at all.
Tonight I ordered a pie and it was a bit better (maybe because it was made fresh, not out on the counter all day?). Still on the bland side, but passable. I do have to say I was fiending pizza and kept going back for more, after I was already past full. I did choose to skip the meatball this time altogether. I also really like the owners, they’re extremely nice people.

The pizza is awesome! I order take out all the time from them and they never make me wait! When they say 15 minutes, they mean 15 minutes!
They are still super nice there too!
