We wandered into this store by accident; WORST customer service we have ever received, and by the owner at that! The workers were nice but were very quiet and scared around their rude, and controlling boss. The prices were almost the same as retail price and were not worth the visit. Will not be returning thanks to the attitude of the owner himself toward his customers and employees.

Where do I start? The«owner» was the rudest person we have ever met! He spoke down to us with a demeaning attitude, followed us around the whole store, and even spoke about my girlfriend! We watched him walk in and out of the store while smoking a cigarette and talk down to his employees as well. We will never be returning to this place ever again based on his terrible customer service and the way he treats his employees. NOT the smug attitude you want to have around customers. And the deals weren’t even that great! Some of the stuff is cheaper at Walmart.

Found this place by accident. We were driving by & it sounded interesting so we decided to stop. First off, the employees were all SUPERFRIENDLY& each one made sure to greet us personally. Normally this makes me uncomfortable in a store, but they weren’t at all coming with a sales pitch… They were just honestly interested in how I was doing & myself personally. Nice touch! Inventory was super diverse. There’s something for everyone here. It’s super fun to poke around & see what kinds of deals they have. Got a giant bag of stuff for $ 24. I imagine the inventory changes frequently, so I will definitely be back! We had a ball«treasure hunting» today :)

When I walk into«Bargains in a Box» I’m not looking for boxes folks. This location has plenty of boxes. Unfortunately it’s lacking the bargains. I had been at two big box stores immediately preceding my visit and almost everything they had was more expensive than one or both. The store is well organized… don’t care. It is well maintained… don’t care. The young girl at the register was very nice… bought them the second star. If I lived next door I might walk over for a Sharpie but there isn’t a need for me to drive here again. I’ll stick to other more clutter and bargain filled locations in the city.

The assistant store manager was extremely nice to my toddler. That’s what the 4 stars are for. Merchandise is meh… prices are ok. Kind if a strange set up. If you need toiletries would be a good place to go

My wife(VK) and I have been going to the Wheeling BiaB for the past 6 months or so. Aside from the expectedly unique and incredibly priced finds and a clean, open environment, the people there are outgoing and friendly to a fault, and always remember us even if weeks have gone by. They will go out of their way to greet us and remain engaged throughout our expedition without being intrusive(usually, although they’re so often impressed by their own prices that they just can’t help themselves sometimes). And when it’s just about time to toss out a fun snack, they’ll open it up and share with whoever’s there. VK went in there to do a quick shopping trip for birthday gifts for me(a week before Christmas, same day/year as Brad Pitt, see the resemblence?) She told George, a guy we had seen there only one time before, what she was up to. He listened to what she had in mind, and in no time he led her to some of the things I was looking at before, and had his new trainee pulling stuff out of other boxes. They were like magicians pulling rabbits out of a room full of hats, or a reverse whack-a-mole, although VK felt more like she was being catered to in a high-end boutique. They helped cut her shopping time in less than half. In the process VK «sold» George a hat(although she tends to do something like that almost everywhere she goes.) The bargains can be hit-or-miss(which is why I dropped a star — it’s a brand-based deficit, not location-based). That means there’s stuff you just won’t find anywhere else, some stuff at WTFH prices, others at good department store sale prices, and others at I-can-do-a-little-better elsewhere prices. Our biggest scores to date — cooling foam memory pillows at $ 20 a pop, Lucky Brand men’s jeans at $ 10 a pair(they actually had two in my size), $ 5 cans of non-stick BAKING spray for $ 1, and something else I’m not going to tell you about because I want it to be there when we need it the next time Sam’s Club or Costco drops it off. So whether we spend $ 20 or $ 120, we always come out feeling like we scored on some things and saved ourselves an extra trip somewhere else. And we drive away anticipating our next visit.

I happened to be passing the center where Bargains was and took a chance. It was an overwhelming experience, needless to you can save a few bucks shopping there. All named brand items at a discounted cost to us consumers. I will for sure be returning here again. Thumbs UP!!!
