I’m reviewing the Friday night fish fry that this VFW post has every Friday. I went there with a group from
and had a fun time meeting the other members of the group. Unfortunately we won’t be going back to the VFW; the fish wasn’t particularly good and the sides were even less so. The service is described as «very laid back» and that’s putting it relatively mildly. They’re friendly, no doubt about that, but don’t go here if you’re in a hurry.
It’s also kind of odd that the servers can’t serve soda. You have to go up to the bar to buy alcohol or soda and the soda comes in cans. I just found that a bit odd.
It wasn’t bad, I just will be getting my fish fry fix elsewhere.
It’s also important to note that this is a cash only establishment. I was unaware of this and surprised, though there’s an atm just down the street and they were perfectly willing to let me go get cash without any hassles.
