Went to this store for the first time in their new location(same shopping mall). The place smells musty, probably because of all the old clothes. Seems that the space is pretty big but cluttered and bags of donations behind the checkout counter. Made my way back to the home related items in the back of the store but found nothing and because of the smell, couldn’t get out of there quick enough.

I am still waiting and I am very tired of the shady characters at this it «isn’t our fault but it is our problem» establishment. News flash yes it is your problem and yes I was stupid enough to trust this place with my stuff! All the false promises and even a very direct email in regards to action has left me on Unilocal again with nothing! I have had one person who this has happened to message me and I am wondering if there are more.

I was headed home with a carload of finds when I noticed Too Good To Toss in the same shopping center as the Jewel. I quickly switched lanes and pulled into the shopping center. Ooh, furniture on the sidewalk! As I walked up, I saw a few pieces that caught my eye. Unfortunately, the prices didn’t, but that didn’t deter me from walking in the door. I was immediately overwhelmed. This is a good sized store with a few nooks and crannies along the way for some of the hidden gems. The owner came along and told me about a 40% off sale on clothes, purses and most jewelry. I was pretty focused on furniture and knick knacks, so he mentioned that if an item has been there a while that he was willing to negotiate. Cool! The nice thing is that each item is clearly marked with the consigners code, the date of arrival and a price or marked down price. Everything that I was interested in was 60 days or less in the store, so I didn’t haggle this time. There was a nice selection of furniture, plenty of clothes and kid’s items, lamps, retro kitchen items, wall art, jewelry and the like. If I didn’t already have a car full to the brim, I may have spent more time. There’s some digging to be done in the backrooms/office type spaces. I’m all about the bargain and I think it can be had here, it will just take some time and patience.

I actually hate this place. It’s cluttered, unwelcoming in its layout, and I’ve never been greeted or acknowledged when I’ve been there. It’s next to our Indian buffet, which is the only reason I ever go in. And when I do, I think, «why am I here?» While I wouldn’t call myself a thrift store expert, I do my fair share of resale shopping(especially for furniture and children’s clothing), and the items on consignment here seem overpriced. They put furniture and other large items out front to attract business, and that’s what works to draw me in even though I should know better.

I really like this resale store. It was well laid-out, easy to shop in, and they have quality pieces at fair prices. There is a great variety and the staff was friendly. I did not find a painting that I liked for my office, which was what I was looking for but I will definitely frequent this store.

Lots of stuff here and the staff is friendly. I took in a few things for them to sell and learned about their process. They were very informative and not too judgy about what I brought in. Anyway who has tried to take something to a consignment shop has run into those people who make snarky comments about their items. You know what I’m talking about… they think you are out of earshot, but you’re not! They have mostly home furnishings here, but lots of other stuff. There’s clothing, I saw some leather coats, children’s toys, books and jewelry as well as high quality furnishings. They also had lots of Mickey Mouse watches with bling on them! Overall I had a positive experience here and plan to return with some more items for them to try and sell. Any earnings will help me with all those expenses of having 4 kids!

Features furniture, clothing, books, purses, shoes, etc. Heavy on the home furnishings; don’t look for particleboard here. Saw two chests of silver flatware; that’s not something you see in every consignment store. Prices are optimistic for furniture/shoes/clothes, but I shop at thrift stores so I suppose my frame of reference is skewed. Some very nice furniture; clothes appear to go up to about a women’s 14.(Pants were organized by size; nothing else appeared to be, but sizes were clearly marked.) There are a few bargains to be found among the books(the Greens Cookbook for $ 5 hardcover; an Organic Gardening book on herbs, hardcover, $ 2). Staff is very friendly; it’s a little tough to navigate inside due to the amount of stuff. Certainly worth a look.

You can leave a dozen messages and they will never return your phone call. Also, when I went in there with my young son they made me feel totally unwelcome, like he would damage their 200 year old crap. Never shop there. Go to Twice Is Nice across the street, much better store and they donate to charities.

This consignment /resale store is located near the Jewel and Office Depot in Wheaton. It is fairly new. The store itself is good. It is well laid out — almost feels like an upscale-ish store but the prices are quite reasonable. Plus, unlike some resale shops it is not jammed packed with stuff that you can’t walk around. Quite a bit of variety. They accept items for consignment. You give them the items, they set the price, and sell it. You receive a percentage of it. You can collect your cash once a month. They only take 25 items at a time and if it doesn’t sell after a period of time you either have to pick it up or they will get rid of it. They don’t accept everything, only decent stuff they can sell. Don’t bring junk looking to cash in — walking around the store you can tell they don’t take just anything. The couple that runs the store are friendly. We gave them some stuff a couple months ago and have picked up our money. In fact, went over there today to pick up money, then turned around and found something we wanted and back it went. Much easier than having your own garage sale.
