Samantha Opp Piano Studio

Sam was our daughter’s piano teacher for nearly 2 years before she moved on… and we were sad to see her depart. She presents a warm and inviting introduction to music while imparting a caring and thoughtful approach to learning. Our daughter responded very well to her methods and instruction. Sam was also conscientious about parent involvement and welcomed input often. She was very good about reviewing the progress of the student. For example, she encouraged my 8 year old to bring a piece of music to learn on the piano. My daughter really liked the English Garden melody and thus was inspired to learn it on the piano. Compare this to a rigorous, inflexible approach where the child has no input whatsoever. Her enthusiasm and positive approach was greatly appreciated.

My son (6 yrs) participated In music groups with Mrs. Op for an entire school year. He thoroughly enjoyed learning about music in a fun setting surrounded by his friends. Mrs. Op has established a wonderful way for children to explore the world of music without committing to a specific instrument. Some of Lucas’ favorite instruments to play were the drums, piano and oriff. He always enjoyed class and had a smile on his face when class was over.
Mrs. Op is one of Lucas’ favorite teachers. She is wonderful with both students and parents, cares for each student and has great communication and classroom management.
