I use this Office Depot mostly for printing/copying needs and the occasional school or office supply. The staff at the Business Services center are very helpful and accommodating. Especially a gal named Andrea– she’s patient, knowledgable and competent. Customer Service like this goes a LONG way — it’s getting harder to find in this day and age, so I’m a grateful customer!

The Office Depot on Main and Geneva Streets in Wheaton has a wonderful staff and always has the products/materials I need. Pat and Faiza are always helpful. They know that I am a teacher and I purchase supplies for my students. They inform me of events that are going on in the community that will help parents of school age children with school materials. The other day I specifically went to Office Depot to purchase ink for my home printer. Normally when I walk into Office Depot I take a cart. This particular day I did not. Pat asked me if I needed any help. I told her I was just purchasing ink. Then I started to walk around the store. I could not pass up the deals for materials for my students. I took a basket. I continued to walk around the store and filled the basket. Another staff member asked if I needed assistance. I showed him my filled basket and told him I only came in for ink. We had a good laugh. He told me they appreciate customers like me. I appreciate the staff at Office Depot. During the school year, if my day has been extremely challenging and I need to go to Office Depot, by the time I leave the store, I am in a better mood because the staff take a genuine interest in the customers and make the day brighter.

I would give the store a 0 star rating if I could. Stopped in last night around 6:45 p.m. Store was completely empty with the exception of 3 cashiers and a man in the photo area. In fact, the store is generally empty and the customer service is pathetic. In any case, I went to the photo counter and asked the guy the printing cost for 8×10 photos. He said $.64 each plus $.27 depending on the type of paper. I then asked if a border and text could be added. He sighed and told me I could use the computer, but it was his only computer and someone else might come in. I told him I would take my business elsewhere and he simply shrugged. As I left the store, yes, I did comment to the cashiers that the customer service was lacking and that I was surprised the store was still in business. I might add, that this was going to be at least a $ 100 purchase. Guess the store doesn’t need the business. I intend to call the store manager today and if I don’t get any satisfaction, I will contact the district office and post my dissatisfaction on Facebook. There are plenty of other stores where I can spend my money.

I was in and out in a matter of 2 minutes for an Online Pickup. Just told them my name, signed the receipt, and BAM! Done! Easy peasy.

This place is always understaffed and empty. I feel bad for those who work here, it must be terrible. If your looking for something very particular when shopping for office supplies I guess this is your place, they might have it, but then again there seems to be a lack of product on the shelves. Prices on school items are more expensive then Wallymart or Targa that’s for sure.

I Was going to buy a printer and some paper. I tried to use a coupon that had expired three days ago and they said no. I walked out of the store. I think it was poor customer Care. I went to another computer store and they accepted their coupon.

I had to get a backpack for a laptop and had 2 different people ask me if I needed help! I’m a big cheapskate on the back to school supplies, but needed a nicely padded backpack for son #1’s laptop. He’s going to school for engineering so his laptop is pretty heavy duty requiring a heavy duty backpack. The main backpack display at the front of the store was for the kiddie ones, but they were 25% off. I had to wander a bit to find the laptop backpacks. $ 60 is no bargain for a backpack, but when you figure how much I paid for the laptop, it’s not too bad. The store was crammed with Moms and their kids and obviously they haven’t figured out my secret to sane back to school shopping… don’t bring your kids!
