Quality of paint is excellent but quality of service is not. :(I would recommend to improve customer service skills. (Wheaton store)

I called the store, she made an appointment for me that morning.
She was fabulous. In less than an hour, she chose a paint palette for 6 rooms/​entire first floor and coordinated it with new wallpaper and existing carpeting!
Whew! I am so excited and can’t wait for the painting to begin! Thank you Melissa!

I’ve had two experiences with this store, neither positive.
I’ve bought multiple paint samples for my home there. This process is itself annoying because they only sell large (expensive) samples so you end up with a lot of wasted paint when you try to find what will look good in your home (unlike Ace which sells much smaller pots). After much trial and error, I came very close to the color I wanted but it was just slightly off. I asked the man at the store if he could recommend something with just a little less red in it (or custom make a sample). Short answer: no. His only advice was to retain their color consultant.
OK, so I bit on that. I called on a Monday and explained that I wanted their decorator to pick out colors for my whole home and shades for one room. He said their decorator was not there on Mondays but I could call back on Tuesday. I asked if instead he could take a message, which he did. It’s now Thursday and no call back.
I don’t take it as a sign of good things to come when I have to hound someone before they even «have the job.» Two strikes is enough for me to spend my money elsewhere.

Celeste is excellent at coming up with creative ideas and great color combinations. When we first moved to G.E. she recommended lots of colors I loved. I’ve recently been working with her on bedrooms for our second level. She’s amazing.
