So far I have had good experiences here. Couple of months ago I got some flats that were defective. I returned them about 2 weeks later and I was ify if they would accept them cause I didn’t go right away and they took them without questioning. A month ago I exchanged some heels that I fell in love with but look weird on my feet. I got them in July and due to the time length they were able to give me store credit. I had used a $ 20 coupon and was able to use again. They can also order shoes and have it deliver to you or the store. There’s options available to help meet your foot needs.

I had to return a pair of defective shoes at this location and the manager and sales people were the worst! I bought the shoes for my husband approximately two weeks ago and he noticed that the sides were pulling apart so we decided to return and exchange it. We went to this store and he didn’t see anything he liked and didn’t want to get the same shoes so I just wanted to get a refund. Took the shoes to the cashier and she said since it was worn she would give me a credit. I told her I wanted a refund so she got her manager. The manager reiterated that since it was worn, she could give me credit or order the same shoes but she’ll make«exception» for me with a total attitude. If a product is defective, an «exception» shouldn’t be needed and I definitely don’t need your nasty attitude or made to feel like I should be grateful that you’re giving me an exception. I got my money back but the cashier had total attitude and didn’t even look at my eyes as she refunded my money. Customer service apparently is not something that this place wants to give.

I like the concept of DSW, shoes are on open display and you find your size in the cubby holes underneath, no waiting for someone to go to the back room to find your size. And a sign says if they don’t have your size they’ll order them and ship them for free. For a number of reasons I’m limited to what style shoes I can wear, but still they have a nice selection for those who can wear cute and strappy. However, it seems like the shoes are only $ 5 or so less than retail. With all of the on-line buying options that doesn’t seem too tempting. My good friend chides me for doing so much on-line shopping(hi Amazon!) but it’s so easy and can be so much less expensive. They do have a frequent buyers program so maybe that makes a difference. Besides shoes they have purses(including some cute sparkly evening bags), scarves, socks, and shoe care accessories(water proofing, etc.) Sales person was helpful and my friend’s store credit return was easy enough. Wish I could wear some more of those cute strappy sandals, but in the meantime I’m in the sports shoe section.

While I am disappointed in the service I received at the store, I am comforted to know that the DSW corporate office will be looking into the issue to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. I traded emails with Brandy and came away with the highest opinion of the DSW brand. She went above and beyond the call of duty. There is little doubt in my mind that my particular issue will be the outlier and not the norm with this company. Excellent customer service from the Corporate level.

I stopped here last night hoping to end my what it seems like a never-ending shoe hunt for the perfect pair of flats & boots. This DSW is definitely smaller than the one in Bethesda. The selection was limited and uninspiring, the prices were also uninspiring for only ~$ 10 off retail price. A bit dreary, the lights seemed dulling, and it was a bit too quiet. Anyways, I ended up buying nothing. I’m probably taking my shoe shopping online!

You would think wooing me with champagne and shrimp w/olives on skewers would skew my rating. Um, no. This new addition to Westfield(Wheaton) Mall AKA Wheaton Plaza is a welcome addition to a less than impressive mall. It is easy to access with its own entry across from a parking garage which is a bonus for them. I was lured to their grand opening celebration by the remote chance to win a $ 500 gift card. What woman wouldn’t kill for $ 500 worth of shoes? I manage to carouse the aisles for 1 ½ hours while hoping to hear my name(no such luck). I did like the champagne, shrimp, bruchetta and cookies though! As for the store, it has more selections than Silver Spring, but less than Bethesda. Their Clearance Room is huge, but the selection in there is sparse. Maybe as time goes by they will be more well-stocked. I found a pair of heels I liked in the main area, but later found the exact pair(wrong size) in the Clearance Room. When I showed this to a sales associate, they did give me the 30% discount without any hassle. My one and only gripe is that I found a pair of Coach boots I liked and I did not buy them because there was no information as to whether the fur trim was real or faux. I asked two employees and some lady that was there with Bobbie Thomas(«as seen on E!‘s Red Carpet») and they all said it was faux. I wasn’t so sure. I didn’t get them and I was glad I didn’t. I looked them up on the web when I got home and sure enough… real rabbit fur!(I don’t wear fur as you might have guessed.) You should be able to find something to your liking. It may be just me, but $ 10 off retail prices isn’t really a huge bargain. If I know what I want, I can find better bargain through web searches. Free shipping and no sales tax are everywhere these days.
