I dont have a child taking driving classes through this academy. However I wanted to share my experience this past Saturday morning. I was getting onto highway 70 and merged into the first lane, no one was on the road. All of a sudden there is a 2 door, gold color car that just about side swiped my drivers side. There was a young boy with an older looking man as his teacher in the passenger seat. This kid didnt even touch the breaks, and drove right down the middle of the lanes, and practically side swiped my car. I honked the horn and the driving teacher gave me a gesture(Im sure you can figure out the gesture) I was really surprised that as a driving instructor he did not have the student hit the breaks, OR switch lanes that were completely empty. There was no one on the road at 8 am. Im sure this is a good driving school, but parents I would beware of this instructor. He clearly puts his students in harms way, and does not teach them road safty.

We had the pleasure to use Wheatland Driving Academy & were very pleased! Our daughter learned a lot on her first lesson & felt comfortable with the owner! We would highly recommend them especially with paying by the lesson not the full upfront fees!!!

The ONLY reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the car used is an old worn out car, not that I blame him since new drivers are in the drivers seat!!! We have used this business for both of my kids. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about current licensing requirements. We were missing a document for my daughter to get her permit and the owner personally delivered it to the Yuba City DMV within an hour of calling. He isn’t the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for. I recommend.
