Love Marylou’s, especially this particular location. I’ve been to several locations, but I drive out of my way to visit this store, because for whatever reason, the girls at this location are the only ones who can make my iced coffee the way I like it… nearly EVERY time! I’ve been here hundreds of times and have probably had less than a handful of iced coffees that weren’t made quite the way I like it. It’s a very rare occurrence. The only negative, is that the parking lot can get a little hairy on Sunday mornings. A little tough to get in and out, when the lot is full, but not enough of a hassle to keep me away!

Marylou’s has the best flavored coffee! Found this location when our GPS took us on a detour. Perfect! I’ve been dying for the Funny Bone iced coffee. It’s sweet already so no need for sugar. Just add a little milk and some whipped cream on top and you’re ready to go! I got in and out of there fairly quickly. Wish they would open a Marylou’s on the North Shore soon!

Well, what do you know — a brand new to me Marylou’s! I’m not in the area usually so whenever I see a Marylou’s I just have to stop. I love their quirky ads from back in the day and their coffee selection is great. This one had a nice list, and seating(which is always great to see). I went with an iced almond cookie and it tasted like someone magically converted into coffee. Yummy!

I used to come here often when I was in town a lot but not anymore. This was probably 4 – 6 years ago so obviously the staff has changed, and with that the coffee making skills, or lack of, has also changed. Stopped in this afternoon and ordered a raspberry mocha blast. The girl who waited on me wasn’t pleasant at all. When she made the drink she shoved it towards me on the counter. Ummm ok. The lid was covered with coffee too. I have a new car with tan interior… so there was no way I was taking that in my car without cleaning it. The thing is SHE should have wiped it clean like all other locations I’ve been to do. The coffee was gross to. Like adding insult to injury. It was super bitter yet flavorless. A few sips and I was done. Parking is still a mess here. If you want good coffee, go up the street a few miles to the Abington location. They’re way nicer and make better stuff.

The first time I went to Marylou’s, I(mistakenly) ordered french vanilla iced coffee with milk. It was crap. If you like plain-ish iced coffee, do not come here. The coffee is pretty weak and certainly subpar to Starbucks up the road. After further coaxing by a coworker, I decided to come back for round two. And I am so glad I did. I ordered the Peanut Butter Wonderful, and it was the closest thing to an orgasmic experience coffee has ever given me. Marylou(or whoever owns this chain) has mastered the art of mixing flavored coffees to taste just like candy. It was so good I got another one the next day… Best of all, the prices are pretty reasonable, there are a ton of different flavors(which I need to get around to trying). I’m only working for five more weeks on the South Shore, and I will certainly be going through withdrawals when I leave.

Kudos to the Unilocaler recommendation for the Girl Scout Cookie iced coffee… just like the thin mints with hopefully less of the guilt, IF you watch your sweetener and milk choice. Thank the heavens they don’t have this place at home because I would be a heavier patron for sure!

I stop in occasionally to get a cup of brew. The coffee is hit or miss. Sometimes you can get the same flavor(pumpkin spice) and have a really good cup of coffee. Other times the same flavor is good, just not as good as last time. So don’t base your opinion off 1 cup. There’s so many flavors to try. A little cheaper than DD coffee. The girls are always friendly. This Marylou’s has tables inside.

Now that I moved from the South Shore, nothing compares to ML’s! I miss all the delicious flavors and concoctions that I had been drinking the last 10 years of my life! I have worked/visited many of the Marylou’s locations around MA, and man do I miss my daily dose of yumminess!!! If you’ve never been, try the Nutty Irishman Coffee(Vanilla Hazelnut & Creamy Irish) or the Peanut Butter Cup or Funky Fanabla for something sweet! I can’t wait to come back for the Holidays and stock up on beans. Rock on ML!

I’ve lived in the area for several years now, and I have just recently become a regular at this location. I left the other competitor simply because my coffee was always made wrong; so I thought to myself — let me check what the hype is all about. Now I know! Although the coffee is a bit light for my taste — a shot of espresso can quickly fix that up. The girls at this location are extremely friendly — except for maybe one or two(but they are rarely there). No matter how you order your coffee, it is always done right the first time. Pastries and bagels are always stocked and always available. Lines can sometimes be long — but shortened with a quickness. So far … I’d say my choice to explore … has paid off. GREATJOB!

One seriously charming coffee shop right by South Shore Hospital, I finally stopped by on the way there and thoroughly enjoyed Marylou’s iced coffee. Well brewed and reasonably priced with efficient and friendly service — no complaints here!

This is my favorite Marylou’s locations because 1) There is space to sit down at a table and chill out 2) I have never had a bad coffee there 3) The girls that work there are always polite and want to make your coffee the way you want it 4) Large parking lot never completely full 5) Convenient location 6) Scratch tickets are set up easy to view and purchased A few of my favorites: Nutty Irishman, Butterscotch ice coffee, Peanut Butter Wonderful, Minty Lou, Carmel Lou, Hot Marshmallow Delight There is a muffin that is tasty and low fat/calorie– its an apple cinnamon type deal with no crunchies on top. Only around 120 calories. Only downfall is no wi-fi Marylou’s YESPLEASE!

How did I go 18 years living in New England never knowing about Marylou’s? There really is such a divide between the North Shore and South Shore… sigh…well, at least in this case, it’s just a coffee divide. I for one am bridging that divide by telling all my North Shore cronies: Marylou’s is delicious! I know, I know, we all love our D&Ds, but there are a few reasons Marylou’s is better. One: it’s a mom and pop – support it! It has all the charm and quirkiness for which one could ask. Pink walls? Check. Cute girls working the counter? Double check. Location in the middle of an almost too dangerous intersection? Triple check! Two: holy crap this is delicious coffee! Whether it is regular, flavored, or super flavored with whipped cream, sprinkles, and whatever other crazy topping you want with your coffee drink, you cannot go wrong. Marylou’s is a terrific place to visit all year round, although if you want a crazy-refreshing-thousand-calorie-blast on a hot July morning, summer is the best time :)
