Kc’s Pub & Grill

We were looking for a restaurant to try on Rt 18 in Weymouth and ended up wandering in to KCs Pub. At first glance I was apprehensive… Definitely a townie bar, but very clean with nice simple décor. There was a dart club throwing in the corner. Not very many people appeared to be eating, which made me nervous. We contemplated trying somewhere else, but since my man has a weak spot for Keno he convinced me to stay. I’m glad we did because it was really great! The chicken fingers were delicious. We got cheeseburger clubs. The super friendly lady at the bar said they were hand made patties and my man was thrilled that they used white American cheese and not crazy orange cheese. The fries were awesome; super crispy outsides and just enough seasoning. My first impression:

Blue collar, regulars bar in tony East Weymouth (hey its on the Hingham line). Food is average pub fare heavy on the burgers, fried things and pizza. The BLT pizza is very good as are the quesadillas. Truly a barroom by any definition, its comfortable and unpretentious. There’s a quasi-​outdoor smoking area with a tv and propane heater for the winter. It would challenge any board of health smoking inspection but they probably couldn’t find the place anyway. My boss calls this the Star Wars bar after the cantina in the movie due to the oddball characters in here.
