The food is good here. The atmosphere is nice too. It’s dark with lots of dark wood. Pizza is good, but small for the price. Chicken Parmesan is okay but not great. The portion is very big though. The rolls are delicious. The service is fast and friendly.

Really really wanted to like this place. It’s not that it has bad food. It’s more that it’s just really average food. My table got a couple pasta dishes and they were ok tasting but also had lots of water and oil in the plate. Just made the food a lot less appetizing. Overall it’s ok. Not great not bad. Just ok. Service and the bread were good though.

Just had a private function for a 50th birthday party here for about 40 people and it could not have been better! My guests raved about the food and in particular loved the chicken rockerfeller. There was more food than we could eat on the buffet. Marianne was easy to work with and they were just very accomodating. We had a 1920’s gangster murder mystery event for the party and the interior of the restaurant was a perfect fit. Would highly recommend this restaurant for either dinner or a private function. The restaurant is closed for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays so we had the place to ourselves for the function.

The food is good and they have a good variety. I think it is reasonably priced and there are several good wine choices at reasonable prices too. Unfortunately, the service is very slow. Everyone is pleasant but the wait staff and bus staff need to pick up the pace. We have been there on three separate occasions and have had to flag the waitress down to get her attention.

Me and my wife love this restaurant and go there on special occasions birthdays anniversaries, I have not had a bad meal here, all the food is outstanding consistently. The service is attentive, friendly and professional. The prices are average for Boston restaurants but worth the expense. The martinis are top notch and highly recommended. This is a hidden gem in S Weymouth.

It definitely is not the greatest Italian restaurant in the world or the south shore. The food is really lacking but I leave the three stars because the interior is really nice. It looks relatively classy and in my opinion not at all tacky. They have nice tall ceilings and an open layout with a tv above the bar that can be scene from most of the tables. The food is medium priced for Italian but the food quality just isn’t there. They do run a pasta night promo and is the only night that I will go because if you pay full price it just isn’t worth it. It is hard to pull out of the parking lot because it is on route 18 and it has a lot of traffic going by it.

I was recently here for lunch, my second visit. We got a weird greeting when we walked in(I wont make this whole review about that. I will just say, are you running a business here or trying to drive people away). Anyway, the place had a few tables filled and the bartender was the only person working. She was working the bar and the tables. The food was just ok, nothing to rave about. I got the eggplant parm and it was paper thin and a bit greasy. The pasta that came with it was cooked perfectly. My wife got a chicken sandwich that she said was just ok. We just felt like we were being rushed out the door because the woman would have to come out from behind the bar and check on all the tables in one sweep. Maybe she didnt want too many active tables at once and want people to get moving. Not a pleasant experience. I wont be back.

Revising review — specifically for the dine in experience. Would have given 3 stars due to decent(not great) food quality, but this is mostly based on VALUE. To illustrate my point… One 7oz coke = $ 3.75. No refills. Yes you read that correctly. If that were the only pricey item, I wouldn’t be mentioning it. However, entrée prices were more akin to a North End restaurant menu and the portions were small to medium sized at best. $ 19 for a lunch size chicken and angel hair. That was the lowest cost option. Not a very interesting menu either — plenty of options, as long as you like seafood and pasta, or chicken and pasta, or pasta and meatballs… average price entrée is $ 24. Seafood dishes even more. Again, food quality wasn’t terrible, albeit Boring preparation and presentation were their worst offenses. The atmosphere is nice as well. But for an Italian place in Weymouth, the quality and quantity of food does not justify these prices. $ 60 for 1 adult entrée, 2 kids meals, a coke, ½ salad and an app. Stick with pizzas for take out. Not the best, but again this is Weymouth — worst food town in Mass IMO

We do like their food. Something new for us is trying their pasta night where dishes are 12.95. Not bad for the price BUT we had a beer. A simple coors light and it was $ 5.85!!! Is that a little much for a bottle of coors or is it me??? She keyed in corona light, which we brought to the waitresses attention, but she said she made a mistake keying it in but the price was the same. I didn’t want the whole six pack just a bottle!!! $ 5.85???

Bread was good, beer was good, atmosphere was great. I got the Bianca pizza and my wife got chicken a la vodka. Both were awesome. We both fully enjoyed our experience there and will definitely be going back. We also grabbed a take out menu so we can pick up some great food on the go.

My fiancé and I came here for dinner the other night and it was wonderful. We both got the eggplant– perfectly breaded and crisp. The lemonade was very well balanced. Salad was very overdressed, but overall a great experience

My wife and I went in and it was very busy. We were immediately seated in a great booth in the corner. We got a round of drinks, I had Allegash Beer and my wife had a flirtinni which she liked. Clams casino were good and seemed to be made to order. I had Seafood Fra Diavolo which was really good, a good array of seafood including clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp and calamari. The sauce was great with just enough spice to keep it interesting but still taste the nuances of the sauce. My wife got the Saltumbocca which she loved. We will be back for sure.

Absolutely our favorite, favorite restaurant on the South Shore! Their food is fantastic, and I will just give 2 examples. The veal Parm is the thinnest, crispiest, best I have ever had! The filet mignon is the equal to any of the best steak houses in Boston, and in my mind superior in quality. Given the price, it is off the chart superior to anything in Boston. The waitstaff is, perhaps, the best part of the whole dining experience here. They are genuinely glad to see you when you enter the restaurant! Special kudos to Maryanne, Michelle, Patrick, Greg, Bonnie, Robin, Derek, Peggy and to the chefs whose names I do not know. You make eating at Ecco a dining experience to be savored and to keep calling us back!

Ecco Trattoria has been my favorite spot for lunch or dinner for many years. The location is absolutely beautiful. Friends who haven’t eaten there before can never believe it when they walk through the door. «I can’t believe this place is tucked away in a strip mall!» All of the food is delicious but one of my favorite items is the chicken salad sandwich on the lunch menu. All the lunch entrees are $ 6.95. How can you go wrong? The staff at Ecco distinguish themselves by their excellent customer service. I had lunch there on a recent Sunday afternoon. Marianne, who is the manager and always tends bar for lunch, served me a delicious French Martini that was not too sweet. I commented on how good it was and she said, «I know how you like your drinks.» I ordered a side of mixed vegetables recently and forgot to ask them to leave the onions out. The chefs knew it was for me and they picked the onions out without being asked. If you have never tried Ecco you are in for a treat. My favorite time to dine there is probably on a Sunday evening, since it is more low key than other nights of the week. They have a great pasta special too. Be advised that they close at 9PM on Sundays. Enjoy your dinner!

Just had diner here and was disappointed. Got two apps lobster bruschetta and crab cakes, the lobster was good but the crab cakes were the size of a breath mint. For an entrée 2 of us got the baked stuffed haddock it was pretty bad very dry and chewy $ 27 on the menu, now I look and my receipt and I was charged $ 33 didn’t notice when I was there. The service and the drinks were good. It was $ 250 for six of us and 2 were kids(which is fine as long as everyone enjoys their meal). Only 2 out of 6 like their meal. The kids got penne with sauce and it was $ 13. I would not go back.

The little things count too!” I’ll start by saying that the food is quite good. Some items are priced right, and some are not. Two small pizza dough rolls hiding at the bottom of a deep bread basket is not a great presentation. Caesar salad is overpriced and two little anchovies just are not enough. Other portion sizes were acceptable. Apparently it is more important for the chefs to take the two parking spaces near the front door that could otherwise be marked for handicap, or left open for customers. When I spoke with the owner, she was not concerned that the chefs parked right in front of the door. The chefs must be more important than the clientele. That left a taste that spoiled the experience, and I probably will not return.

One of my fave south shore italian/american dining options. Fave dish on the menu… the seafood risotto. It’s filled with a great assortment of shellfish. Great service, food and reasonably priced.

6 Oysters $ 9.99 hit the spot since I was craving them. Baked eggplant app $ 7.99 was a bigger portion than I expected. Fried Calamari w/sweet peppers mixed in $ 9.99(last time was better) 2 Crab Cakes $ 9.99 were smaller than I thought for the price, ok on flavor and amount of crab Cosmo(again) yum. The waitstaff is a close knit group. Friendly, helpful and down to earth good peeps. I left my cell here on NYE and they called me when it surfaced. I guess I was suppose to come back for more!

Went here on a Wednesday night, not realizing it was one of their $ 11.95 Pasta Nights — parking lot was jammed to the max and there was a 30 minute wait for a table for two. We managed to snag a high-top at the bar in about 10 minutes, though. App: Lobster Bruschetta. HOLYDELICIOUS. probably the best part of the whole meal. i would eat ten orders of these. Meals: Shrimp Scampi and Eggplant Fettucine. Shrimp Scampi was a little plain for my husband’s tastes, but he’d never had it before. Thought it was«pretty good.» My Eggplant Fettucine was great — my only constructive criticism is that the breaded and baked eggplant was a little softer than i was expecting, and it could have lent a little more texture to the dish. The flavors, however, were exceptionally tasty. Great dish, would definitely order this again, although it will have to wait until I try a few more things off the menu. We also ordered half-orders of a caesar and a house salad, and both were delicious and perfectly sized. Dessert was a slice of Tiramisu — light, airy, and lovely. Tiramisu is easy to screw up, but Ecco’s is quite nice. The menu is impressive, the wine and drink list included. Our meals were overall quite good, and we’re both looking forward to a return visit– we’ll make reservations next time.
