I called to ask if they have any vegan options and was told they have 1 vegan cookie and plenty of gluten free options. I love gluten so that was irrelevant. Then I hung up, called back twice and got hung up on both times. I wanted to find out if they have a dairy free creamer or milk for coffee but I guess they didn’t want to talk. VERY rude. I was going to stop by to meet a friend but I will not be going here, at all.

The new store that recently opened in the downtown area of westport, ct. Great coffee… however when I spend $ 3 of\n a large coffee that is equivalent to a medium elsewhere and asked for almond milk instead of regular cows milk there was a surcharge. Even Dunkin ’ doesn’t charge extra for Almond milk… It doesn’t cost more than cows milk and with the world of people who are unable to tolerate cow milk or are vegan, this seems like punishment and not very customer friendly. The people are nice but get with the program guys! PS also no non fat milk at the milk counter either.

Great food. Warm atmosphere. Super civilized. Great warm décor. This is the place for a breakfast /coffee meeting.

Went there today… bad coffee, very weak and no flavor to it. Also, everything is incredibly overpriced. I won’t go back. :(

Best bakery in the area by a mile. The lemon scone is exceptional and the breads and cakes are top notch. I’ve had lunch here a few times as well and they did not disappoint. It’s hard to fathom how any rating could be less than 4 stars. If you’re worried that the cost is a bit high, then continue to buy your breakfast pastry at Dunkin Donuts.

The outside of the Sono baking company looked inviting with its bright outdoor seating so my friend and I stopped in for coffee. For a baking company they didn’t see to offer much of a selection of baked goods. The staff was not very friendly. We were told that the only flavors they had to offer for their coffee were cinnamon and peppermint. They did not have any skim milk, so we were forced to pay extra for the soy milk. I got an iced coffee and it was awful. It made my friend’s cinnamon iced latte taste decent. This trip was not worth the money at all. I will not be going back here.

We went here on Saturday during the light drizzle that was coming down. We were looking for a fresh place new to us, and came across Sono Baking Company. The sandwiches were great, served with quinoa or a salad. The cookies are huge and delicious. Go and get one. The coffee was good too, although my cappuccino had a lot of foam. Ask for half the foam. The best part was, our dog could sit with us outside on the patio. This is a hard thing to do sometimes. Most places don’t allow this. We will be back for sure :)

Actually eating at their new location in the downtown area. It’s not on Unilocal yet. Full breakfast and lunch menu(and special Sunday brunch menu too). Great coffee and baked goods too. I think they will do great here. Great blueberry corn muffin with a ton of tiny(?Maine) blueberries, great omelet(but salty but the ingredients inside added a lot of flavor) and great egg sandwich on homemade English muffin.

Nice artisan crusty breads and fancy little pasteries. It is pricey but a nice treat!

Auspicious, jump into the cup, huggable cappuccino. Use it to follow a fantastic artisan-cooked baked good down your gullet and you will be in palate heaven. There is a nice large room to sit in. Only drawback is the room can be too cold in the winter, and the location is not convenient.

Yum! As far as I’m concerned, SoNo makes the best bread and pastry this side of the Atlantic. The Westport store is a cozy spot for coffee, tea, espresso, etc. and boasts a perfectly decent selection of goodies from the main bakery in South Norwalk. In the warmer months there is outdoor seating in front of the café, which occupies the street-side half of A&J’s farmstand. All the bread, breakfast pastries, desserts, and lunch items are brought in twice daily from the main bakery – so if you’re jonesing for something specific, call ahead of time or even order it in advance(especially around the holidays, duh!). That way you can rest assured they’ll have what you want, you’ll have paid for it ahead of time, and everyone will be happy. I couldn’t even begin to pick a favourite thing – everything is made with such care and consideration. Even things I wouldn’t ordinarily like – crumb cake and danish are not my personal go-to pastries, but it’s all scrumptious! And how grateful I am to have such a quality bakery without New York City prices or its trendier-than-thou attitude. Sit me down with a croissant and a coffee, and I’m one happy camper!

This is where most mornings start for me. I drive right by Starbucks and never regret it. Really wonderful baked goods and great coffee! Really great people, too!

I am still not sure, is SoNo Baking Company in westport just part of A&J’s? I dunno. Baked goods are ok, would be better if they were half the price. I have been to the Norwalk location and the staff was friendlier and the food was better. Nothing is baked here, it is all trucked in from SoNo.
