John Soares Village Garage

Wonderful! Anyone who owns a volvo knows the pain of the dreaded check engine light. After years of the light being on and Turing off maybe once a year we were unable to pass inspection. We had tried getting the car fixed at another garage only to go back twice with the problem still unresolved and a large bill. My husband decided to make the 45 min drive to bring the car to the village garage since we had heared they were the go to people for volvos. It took one or two tries but they were able to find and fix the problem that no one else before them could. Mike went above and beyond trying multiple things, sometimes even on his own time to get the problem fixed. An old school garage that demonstrates real honesty and treats you like a neighbor/​friend.

I have come to love Volvos and John Soares for keeping my old girl on the road. He is fair, honest and goes out of his way to be sure that the car gets the care she needs. He is never too busy to explain what the best repair schedule is. Volvos are not cheap, but I can continue my love affair with the Sweeds by having John there to take care of them.

I borrowed my dad’s spare car when I was home on vacation with my two very young kids and what do you know but the check engine light goes on the third day. The car is having trouble starting. I found this place through my uncle who swears by it. They were pretty booked up But I managed to squeeze in the following day. The guys are super honest (I am an innocent looking woman… Who happens to be an engineer for a top car company). They fixed the car within 24 hours and even brought to my attention another potentially pressing issue. I certainly will return if I have any other issues.
