This place is great! Ever since Basement Brewhaus closed in PVD it has been very hard to get homebrewing supplies. There is a great place in Woonsocket and a small store with a limited selection in PVD, but no comprehensive well stocked store right in our capital city. This place is right off of 195 right next to Fall River so it is only a 20 minute drive from Providence. They have a huge selection, knowledgeable staff, long house, and good prices.

So far so good. I recently found Adega.(new store) Until recently I had to travel to Providence or Woonsocket, This is a very clean store with a decent selection, I hope with time they increase the variety of their stock. When I went they said I could order or request what I want and they would get it in a couple of days. I have not tried yet. Bought a few different malts. Plan to go soon to get a wine kit.

Finally a homebrew supply shop opens closer to home! …and it is a nice shop! OK so they do not have every bit of equipment that you might need. I was out of luck trying to find o-ring replacements for my Corny Keg. But I also needed to pick up some Calcium Chloride brewing salts that they were able to get for me within two business days. On the outstanding side: This is the cleanest shop I have ever been to. Also, the service, and time given to anyone with a question, is amazing. For example, I had a question about degassing wines and got an expert response, in detail, that goes beyond«just Googling it». There are also constant deals, winemaking classes, a great selection of ingredients kits… I have visited at least 3 times in the last month. Really, an easy 5 stars as they become more established and add more inventory!

If you have been in any of the local homebrew shops you will notice one big difference when walking into Adega. It is clean. So many shops are dusty, dingy and extremely unorganized. This isn’t the case at Adega. This beer and wine making supply store opened over the summer and filled a large void in the area. They have a decent stock of most things the average home brewer or wine maker would need. If you are in search of a specialty item they are more than willing to order it for you and are usually able to get it within a few days. The owner and employees are very friendly and quick to offer help and advice. If they don’t have an answer, they will suggest where to go to find one. If you are unable to get to the store shipping is available as well as an online ordering system. Even if you only have a passing interest in home brewing or wine making, Adega is worth a stop.
