THISPLACEMAKESMETHINK, THATPRIORREVIEWSWEREWRITTENBYEITHEREMPLOYEESORTHEOWNERS, WHICHISSOMETHINGTHATMIGHTHAPPENWITH Unilocal. THEPLACETERRIBLE!!! The worst filipino food I ever had, the place is a small joint in an empty plaza. Food was scarce or actually non existent. THEIREXCUSE was that most of the food had been sold??? When requesting specific dish…(pancit…) we do not make that…“I like some lumpia… you mean pork eggrolls? I guess, we will fry some. Actually, I had ½ a pound of –greasy– lechon(looked more like a ¼). And some other dish, which I regreted as soon as the grease began to drip from the fork. And that was it, as there were some very dry looking fish in a tray. My wife who as me has eaten phillipino food for many, many years, was seating watching me eat the greasy lechon, NOPANCIT, NOADOBO, NOCHICKENINASAL, NOTAPA, ETC., ETC. some very greasy egg rolls and a mango juice. INFACT, SHESTOPTALKINGTOMEALLTHEWAYHOME, NOTMYFAULT, except that I picked this lousy place. FACT… we never have to be back, as there are others options available. FACT, be carefull with the reviews, you will never know who wrote them. I DIDWRITETHIS!!! P’S’ personal rather rude and unhelpful.

This place was well worth the 50 minute drive to get here, the service is outstanding so was the food! We had to come here to try a dessert that is extremely hard to find Taho(a tofu based drink only sold in the Philippines) my wife wanted this and was looking for almost a year until I goggled it and this place came up. The dinuguan was one of the best I ever tried(most places add too much fat or liver to it which I cannot stand) the combo option offered is both inexpensive and a great idea so you can try 3 or 4 items. But the lechon liempo was something that will make me go back since it is a phenomenal dish ! This place is a must try –Great people –Great food !

This is a cool little Filipino store located on a strip mall with some unique Filipino products not found in some other asian stores. The store also has fresh cooked Filipino foods which are good and better than some other Filipino restaurants. The store is clean, the people are friendly and they usually have the Filipino channel on which make it feel like you are in the Philippines. They have roasted pork belly called Lechon Liempo on the weekends(or special order) which is delish and has me driving from Chicago to get some of that crispy skin. I also recommend their Filipino empanadas which are great too!
