Fountains At Stone Crest Apartments

If I could give this place no stars, I would.
Let me start with the smell — it is TERRIBLE — so terrible that I has to hold my breath to walk down the hall to our apartment. We were also promised that the ceilings were concrete and that it was a quiet community, Not the case. Our upstairs neighbors were loud at all hours of the night and we could hear them all too well through the «concrete» ceilings.
We moved in August and started getting itchy bumps on our arms shortly after moving in. We went to the doctor, who thought that these were insect bites, possibly bed bugs. We asked management to look at this immediately and were blown off. We called and went into the office many times after this and they continued to ignore us. Finally, in late October, I woke up and found a bed bug next to me. We bagged it and took it to the office as proof of the problem. They took the bug and had the exterminator look at the apartment. We then had to take everything washable out weekly and wash in hot water and follow all the protocol for bed bug extermination. We complied 100%. However, the bites kept getting worse. Finally, after months of bites and no sleep, we contacted a lawyer. It took our lawyer for management to get serious. They brought in the owner of the extermination company, and did begin to decrease the number of bugs and bites, but we still continued to find them. We eventually decided to move out. They waived the move out fee and gave us a ridiculously small amount of money to cover new mattress, sofa, love seat, and bedding. Most of this had to come out of our pockets. No one ever apologized to us. The exterminator actually said to my husband that the difference between this apartment complex and any other he has ever been to are the cracks in the ceilings and walls — making it very easy for the bed bugs to travel throughout the building.
We were not the only people with a bed bug problem. And the management simply does not care. They will not do anything until they fear a lawsuit.
BE CAREFUL — LOOK FOR SOMETHING BETTER — DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID!!!
