Wendy’s

Ok, yeah, it’s fast food… and I admit I have a LOOOONG history w/​Wendy’s Frosty & Fries! (Back in the’80s {when a Frosty meant only CHOCOLATE} hot fries on a tray– dipping them in the Frosty just to cool them down!!!)
Anyhoo, I have been enjoying the Large Chili combo w/​plain baked potato (+unsweet ice tea) since Before it was on their combo menu (thank for simplifying my life;-)
Usually a drive-​thru purchase, when we are too hungry to fix something once we get home… the kids still enjoy their burgers & chicken nugs,& always share some fries w/​me to sustain me til we get home :-D There are the occasional errors, but are ALWAYS corrected promptly when we have time to turn back & tell them. Even if there is a problem we don’t catch in the parking lot, a phone call is always answered,& solution provided in a professional manner.
I like to pour the Chili over the potato, adding my Cholula hot sauce+ Vermont sharp cheddar= filling, satisfying, & tasty. Also, the discount coupon offer on the back of the receipt makes their Full-​size salads an affordable fast option. (It can also be redeemed off a“Large Sandwich”). The seasonal Strawberry Fields salad was a consistently yummy choice this summer. I donate a buck in December for the small Frosty keychain= one free each visit all year :-) perfect size to dip some hot fries! B-​)
Glad our local Wendy’s has been consistently decent for fifteen (wow, 15 O:-) years now. The interior could use some updating but otherwise seems to be kept clean. & Adding the Late Nite Drive-​thru hours also bumps up this Nite-Owl’s rating to a solid 4 stars, for Fast Food.
