Trask Market & Deli

In looking for this place I couldn’t find it. I’ve been here before but I feel like an idiot only because of that fact. I was looking for the wine & deli but the name on Unilocal is different than the business name on the sign. It’s actually Trask Liquor, Wine & Cigs. So after going in and looking for this place in an area with only two businesses, this and the laundromat next door I actually shopped here. I’m surprised on how cheap since things are here. I found paper towels name brand bounty and dryer sheets Downey brand, cheaper here than Walmart. Everything else is expensive but sometimes I’ll come across things like this that are worth coming here for. The cashier was extremely nice and very polite and willing to help out. This time around here was much better than my last trip here.

Where do you get your liquor/​beer/​soda/​snacks at? If you throw out 7 – 11 or any other of those bland liquor stores, you are SORELY mistaken!!!
This spot has character and characters that work here and pass through here! I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years, and have NEVER felt so welcome in my life… at a LIQUOR STORE!!!
Every time I ask for something that the owner doesn’t have in stock he has always said «come back later» or «come back tomorrow» and he ALWAYS follows through! The first time I came across this burly man, I thought ‘he’s probably going to just be like any other worker behind the counter’. I was mistaken. He own’s a couple other liquor stores in the area and he may not come across as the most approachable person, but if you talk to him, he’ll hold a conversation. He enjoys being a business owner and you can tell.
With that said, he cares about the community because he has hired on the MOST INTERESTING PERSON YOU WILL EVER MEET… JOHNNY!!! Johnny is the MAN! I don’t care if I end up paying slightly more by going here than the grocery store to get my alcohol, I get way more out of each visit just by talking to Johnny! He is a character! His raspy voice draws you in and his demeanor is always fun. I don’t think I’ve ever gone in and walked out having a better day. His personality is that of a comedian who’s never done stand up and his audience are bottles of alcohol and random customers paying through. He has such a distinct voice and personality that you can’t help but want to stop in and say hi!
A community is about the people in it. This store represents what a community coming together really means.

PS– There is a lot more than just liquor in here. You can get your fix of vape accessories as well, and you can tell that this spot has been around for a while. I love it because it owns itself and isn’t bland or boring, just weathered.
