The Amore

It is a small shop just at the entrance of the shopping plaza. I will have to say it’s the first Korean makeup store I’ve ever been to that’s inside of the Vietnamese super market and owned/​represented by a Vietnamese woman. Not being racist. but it’s just more common in Southern California to see Korean Skincare Stores run by young, flawless skinned Korean women.
The selection is. decent at best. This is in juxtaposition to the Amore in San Diego and in Cerritos (two places I have been to). There is an okay selection of some of the top lines carried by Amore. There is some makeup. but oddly mixed with Benefit and other random American brands.
The lady seemed pretty knowledgeable. but there isn’t much to skin care products beyond «moisturize» and «skin firming». I don’t know if it was the language barrier but it did feel a little rushed to hurry and pick something. The set up of the location makes it hard to peruse. with some items in the glass counter, some on the wall, etc.
It wasn’t a bad experience. but it was the least favorable of the Amore places I have been to. Usually, one of the perks of going to Korean cosmetics and skincare stores is the abundant samples provided. I got a small handful (count: 4 mini packages) of the same sunscreen product. Disappointed in that aspect.
As someone who on occasion visits Amore shops, I will likely not return to this particular shop. I felt rushed in making the purchase, it was hard to view and explore what my options are, and I received disappointing samples. The lady was nice. but if you’re vietnamese speaking and looking for Korean skin care products. this may be a better fit for you.

If’s a tiny place but Oanh, the sales lady was super nice and helpful. She was busy but still made me top priority since I came in first. Happy with my purchase and lots of samples that I got from her! Will come back the next time I’m in town again, or just order Laneige from her the next time
runs out of them. Happy!

Never knew there was another store nearby where I live that carries Laneige products! If I’ve only known this earlier it would have saved my trips to korean town in garden grove– the placr where I usually go to get my skincare and cosmetics. I moved to garden grove now so there is no distance to travel but wish I would have known this sooner! Thank you so much Unilocal!The girls here are actually really nice. I didn’t mind the fact the followed me around– thought I was going to be-​get annoyed but they were proved to be helpful. This stores carries more selections of Laneige products than the one I usually go the one in ktwon of garden grove. They give you lots of samples indeed. I just bought $ 170 worth of skincare bc I ran out of my items for awhile. It’s worth it because the product is compatible with my skins. I have eczema ever since I was born. Therefore my skin is very dry, sensitive, and get irritated easily. Trust me I’ve used lots of other products and only Laneige products proven to be safe with my skin.
Sum it all: Nice customer service and they give you lots of samples! Even if you don’t buy an item, I think they will give you samples to try out if you just ask! I will be visiting this place more often now that it exist!

It’s true the sales associates do follow you around, but if you purchase (and even if you don’t) they’re happy to hook you up with samples; they’re also very knowledgeable about the products they carry, so if you have any questions they’re more than happy to answer them. Anyway, after you get over the fact that associates will follow you around, I think you’ll enjoy the service. :)
Selection is kind of slim, and it’s not where one goes to buy drugstore level Asian cosmetics/​skincare. Prices are acceptable– not super great, but it’s nice not to have to battle with trying to make free ship minimums on sasa (plus laneige items are always out of stock on
).
This place is teeny, and it’s just inside the entrance to huge grocery store in case you have problems locating it.

Very friendly staff, but she does follow you around and trying to analyze your face, a bit uncomfortable but she was nice. Prices are great; I would say amore is one of the better prices Korean cosmetic brands out there. They do give a good amount of samples for you to try at home.

My friend and I were first attracted to here for the free samples — and true to word, the samples really are great here! I purchased this korean BB cream «Mamonde Total Solution BB Cream» with SPF 20, it was only $ 22 for 1.7 oz and in my opinion, the best from the ones I sampled. Not too liquidy. However, you CAN smell the SPF in it.
They don’t carry Missha, which is my favorite brand for BB Creams thus far, and I’d recommend that brand for anyone new to the BB Cream craze!
The girls working here are friendly — it’s a nice, compact store inside the Thuan Phat Supermarket, so if you’re trying to locate it by GPS, know that it’s inside the market!!!
They also have a points system. With your very first purchase, you are automatically given 100 points. With your second purchase, you are given 50 points. This is added on top of your dollar amount you spend per purchase. At 300 points you get $ 10 off! Not too bad.
I’m excited to try the Laneige samples: the multi cleanser, the deep cleansing oil, the cleansing liquid, and the waterproof lip & eye remover samples.
I’d recommend this place; check it out!

This one is much nicer then the Rowland heights one but it’s so far from me. The clerk’s aren’t as nice as the sweet lady in the RH one but they do carry more of each line.

For some reason the lady here was not that much of enthusiasm like she was before. She used to hand out a lot of traveling samples. Not anymore. When I asked her about my birthday gift that they normally give out, she was quite cranky. She said that «oh, I called but nobody picked up the phone” — «Did you leave a message for me?” — «No, we don’t leave message. It’s your loss if you don’t pick up.» —Now that’s rude because sometimes I am busy and cannot get to my phone. Why didn’t you leave me message? I guess coming here on a Friday is not good then. Or I might have to switch to Amore in Garden Grove for better service.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! the sales girls are sweet and give TONS of samples when you make a purchase. I visited yesterday and got some skincare items, and was so impressed that I came back today to get my friend some stuff!
They carry Laneige Skincare which I am currently obsessed with!

I had a great experience and I was so happy to find Laneige Products in a store front! I am not sure where else you can get the Korean line around here. Natalie helped me and really gave me great advice and was not judgmental in any way. She was super patient! I dropped $ 200 on a complete skin routine and I can tell you that what she recommended for me was a good fit for my skin type. So she’s not only nice, but she’s knowledgeable.
This is my first experience with Laneige products. If you like to watch bubzbeauty on YouTube, it’s Laneige that she uses and she mentioned she had similar skin to me, so I thought I’d give it a try.
The prices for the products at the Amore store are reasonable and better than you can find online! They also carry other lines like Iope and something else that I can’t remember.
Customer service is great and prices are fair so stop by when you can!

I love this Amore store! The customer service is very very good. Yes, they always give you a ton of samples. I love the Sulwahsoo and Iope brands. I just bought the korean shampoo/​conditioner it makes your hair so shiny and silky. Van is really nice here.
