The service here was chaotic and really not suitable for people not well-versed in dim sum. But the prices were reasonable, the food was tasty, and the décor was beautiful.

Dim sum is so-so.the pricing is on par with places in SGV, however the taste and quality are not comparable. I enjoy the banquet foods more. Depending on the time of day, it’s hard to tell if the restaurant is open/closed because the doors and windows are opaque. It’s a very big and spacious facility – free«entertainment» if you are there and there is a wedding going on in an adjacent banquet room.

I’ve been coming here for years. They have one of the best wor wonton soups I’ve ever had. Also, their sweet and sour shrimp is amazing. Would recommend.

I was here for a reception for the first time. As a banquet hall I think the size was nice and the parking was super. The food competes well with many of the other reception style seafood restaurants in the area. Some of the dishes that came out were: Cold cut salad — So-so. Cuts of ham, slices of pork loaf, mixed with shrimp was ok. Shark fin soup — This soup is delicious with bamboo shoots. Lobster — Can’t go wrong with lobster. It was delicious. Peking duck — The crunchy skin and moist tender duck meat was a delight to eat. Fried rice — I could pass on the fried rice. It’s always served last, but not very memorable. Here’s what I liked… * Food was excellent. The food is up to par with many of the local seafood restaurants in the area. * What’s there not to like about a 7 course meal that includes lobster? * Parking here is better than most other restaurants that serve as reception halls. The parking is huge and easy to maneuver in and out. Here’s what I didn’t like… * The banquet hall holds a maximum of 434 customers, but the men’s bathroom ONLY has 1 urinal and 1 stall. That’s too little to be available for that many customers. * The seating area was soooooo hot!!! I couldn’t feel any AC flowing at all. When I asked the waitress to if they could turn up the AC she said there’s nothing she could do about it. But then about 20 minutes later I felt a slight breeze. I think more people complained and they eventually turned on the AC. As a banquet hall, I think it’s better than average. The food was pretty good and the parking is great compared to other local places. Food = Great Seating area = very clean Service = average Restroom = clean

Came here for dim sum. Not crowded and the dim sum was run of the mill stuff. Good food and no complaints.

I’ve had lunch here twice with coworkers and this place is ok. The food is passable i guess. Around these parts, what could one expect? Right? The best things about this restaurant are that it’s cheap and it’s close to my office… Anyways, I’ve only tried a few things here. I’ve basically skipped all the fried stuff and noodles/rice(carbs stuff). FOOD Shu Mai — ok Broccoli Beef — ok Egg Tart — Failed my egg tart test; I mean… these things are bright, neon orange… Huge red flag, LOL SERVICE Good; No problems. Refilled our waters several times without having to be asked PARKING Huge shared parking lot. Easy. Finding this place is harder than finding parking. Seafood Palace is next to Home Depot and can’t really be seen from the street.

This review is for the banquet/private event party only. I haven’t actually eaten at the restaurant. I attended a wedding here and actually arrived a couple of hours before the wedding so I was able to see the staff set up before the guests arrive. The staff were efficient and all the table linens were crisp and clean, silverware sparkling and centerpieces and guest favors present. The staff seem to put great care into details. I had the honor of helping out the master baker of their beautiful wedding cake and while doing so, had to ask the staff for supplies such as napkins and straws and even ask where to discard cardboard and trash after the cake was set up. It was never hard to find someone to help me and they were always very accommodating. Even throughout the wedding reception. The food was delicious and presentation was on point! Several courses with more than enough food for people at every table(8 – 10 people per table). Rest assured that if you hold a party/reception/wedding here your guests will eat like royalty and there was always something for everyone ranging from unfamiliar items on a cold dish appetizer platter to lobster and your guests will have plenty of leftovers to take home if they please. This event was not closed off as there was the usual restaurant business happening next door and a smaller event taking place on the opposite side. With all 3 circumstances occurring simultaneously, the reception was right in the center and it felt like we had the whole restaurants to ourselves. Everyone had a wonderful time here and I really encourage you to check it out for your next venue.

5 stars for service. I have never encountered such sweet, nice and polite staff! I am used to extremely rude service while eating dim sum & this place was full of happy workers, saying good morning & showing you all options on their cart with great customer service. The actual dim sum itself was not my favorite. Everything tasted ok, but a lot of the dishes were cold — the dim sum that doesn’t come in the metal containers sits out for a long time and I don’t think is replaced, it was a big disappointment grabbing a few plates from there and having them be cold and soggy. Probably won’t come back for dim sum, maybe for lunch or dinner.

Food quality is decent but my review is based on their service. We got seated and didn’t get a cart until 15 mins later even though we waved them down a couple times; they were all standing in the corner talking to each other. When we waived them down for our teas, they would just walk on by without acknowledge us but when we held the check up, 1 second later they were there with the best service ever.

We’ve been coming to this place for at least 8 years since they were still at the old place. And everytime, we always order the Lobster. Other dishes are hit & miss. It’s been a while that we haven’t come here, and last week we were in the neighborhood and decided to go. It was Sunday at 7.30pm and not a single customer was in there. It’s only us from the start to end. I don’t care because the lobster is still very good and most important thing is cheap! Since it’s only 2 of us, we ordered the lobster with noodle, it’s a perfect size for both of us to share. I don’t understand why no one eats there or how they can survive, I just hope they don’t close the business.

Planning a wedding could be hard, especially a cultural one that not many people are familiar with. After looking through several venues, Seafood Palace was the most versatile to meet my cultural needs in hosting a Laotian wedding. This venue is extremely spacious — I had 300 guests and it was not cramped at all! Everything was so neat and organized. The restrooms were clean and up to date. They also had a bridal suite which made it nice and convenient to get ready in while changing outfits. The restaurant is already set up is beautiful that not much additional décor is needed. One of the things I liked most was the modern chandeliers with changeable lights of any desired colors. They could also do personalized lights with your name on the dance floor. The food was excellent! Some of our guests favorite were(of course) the House Lobster and French Style Beef! We also had walnut shrimp, the fried rice and fried quail. Everything was just so good and it made me happy to see our guests so pleased. The staff was super friendly and awesome. Our wedding coordinator, Ms. Le was so sweet and professional. She knows what shes doing and made this special occasion in my life stress free and absolutely wonderful — truly one of the best days ever. Perfect wedding venue, delicious food, and a great staff … HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!!! :)

As the name describes the restaurant is large and many people have big parties or weddings reserved ahead of time. I would call ahead of time if you are planning to eat dinner w a large group. The set up is a your normal Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant and the inside is clean and bright. Your order is taken right away, along w drinks. I was surprised our first dish, crab and asparagus soup, came out so quick. I loved that. We ordered the 8 course meal and everything was pretty tasty. I would recommend the Lobster and the Peking duck. Some of the dishes were a bit bland… The seafood noodle basket and the fried tofu. I also thought their beef dish was too salty and just drenched with sauce. All in all, I really appreciated the fast service, but I just think some of the dishes came up short. Nice if your close by!

I had my wedding cater by them at the hyatt. Let me just say I was very unhappy the service. On the day of my wedding, my coordinator Tim was very combative when something went wrong. When he messed up my color sequences at my wedding all he did was just blamed me. Secondly, we had an food item we were suppose to past out but they did not because of the smell the waiter told us at the end. Tim, blamed us that we should have told him the day of our wedding when we are running around everywhere. Overall, just stay away and do not cater from here! !! After the wedding we called him to let him know the issue and he just told us he was no longer working there and we needed to contact his wife we took his position.

I got married here and had an amazing experience! The management and staff were very accommodating in making my special day the best day of my life. The decorations of the restaurant was so beautiful! Le did a great job with her attention to detail and made it a fairytale wedding. I had more guest than expected and they worked well under pressure to make sure they added more tables to accommodate all my guest comfortably. All my guest loved and raved about the food. My favorites were the lobster salad and the lobster of course. All the food came out hot and fresh. I had open bar and the drinks were not bad. I have been coming here for over 10 years during lunch and dinner as well. I love getting their peking duck, chow fun, house special fried rice, crab and lobster. I like their fried shrimp balls and fried fish. Its very crunchy and flavorful. The house special lobster has amazing seasoning thats so flavorful. Their restaurant is very clean and large. I highly recommend coming here for large groups or events.

My friend’s wedding banquet was here and I can only review it from that standpoint. I must say that the food was great! I especially LOVED the lobster, the seafood soup, and the honey walnut shrimp! The ambiance was lacking in that the stage was so far away and hard to hear, even with the PA system, so I felt kind of ‘removed’ from the event. Bathrooms were clean and food & service was on par. They just need to make it so we can all hear what is happening on the stage. It’s a big room! I give this location 3 stars as a wedding banquet location.

This is a pretty big restaurant as I was here for a wedding. From the outside, you’d think this place was small since it’s squeezed between other businesses along this strip of stores, but the space inside was quite large – enough to accommodate about 500 guests. The food was pretty good. There were 9 courses/types of food that was part of the wedding. I only got to try perhaps 3 to 4 of them, but most were good. The fried lobster was delish as that is what stands out the most from what I was able to consume. [I was a bridesmaid so I was walking around most of the time] The appetizer meatball looking item and its seafood counterpart were pretty tasty as well. The servers were friendly and nice, but they looked super young. Unsure if this was because they needed extra help for large events like a wedding. Parking was plentiful since it’s in a large shopping complex.

I came here for a wedding last week and finally have time to write a review for this place. They used to be at a different location, so check your GPS! We had the 9 course meal that you usually have when you go to a Vietnamese or Chinese wedding. It came with so much food and I thought everything was good. We even had a few appetizers before all the food started coming out and some nem nuong from the kitchen. ;) This was my first time here and I had a great time. The restaurant is really big and spacious… The restaurant was also nicely lit, but I’m not sure how it looks like on non-wedding days LOL.

I’ve had takeout dim sum from Seafood Palace many times, but only eaten in the restaurant twice. So, bearing that in mind — this place seems a little underrated to me. A cafeteria-like atmosphere, with square tables lined up in grid fashion, each festooned with a plain, white tablecloth. Servers whizzing around with small dishes loaded onto their metal carts — is this service style the origin of the French phrase«A La Carte»? Just snag one, once in a while, to pick out all manner of dumplings, fried or steamed, and little pastries. It’s easy, quick dining at its finest. I’ve never had a bad dumpling here. The fried«footballs» have ground pork filling, the steamed breadlike buns have bbq pork chunks, and the pale, translucent scallop-shaped cuties have — surprise! — shrimp inside(those are Har Gow, fyi). Pork and shrimp fillings do seem to prevail. The best dish here, though, is not a dumpling but Honey Walnut Shrimp. Shazallelujiah! The Seafood Palace wins for the best Honey Walnut Shrimp anywhere. I do mean *anywhere*. The servers and the manager are always a pleasure to deal with for me and my sweetie. I am surprised that this is a point on which so many reviewers have grumbled and groaned. Perhaps we’ve been fortunate, but then, I’ve never tried booking their event services; we’re just quick customers, and probably easier to please than most. No, we don’t speak Vietnamese :). One day, we may try the other, entrée dishes that must actually be ordered from a server. For now, though, Seafood Palace is simply THE go-to dim sum place for this gal. Close and just $ 10 per person. It’s a deal!
