On the recommendation of a friend I underwent a full treatment for Seasonal Allergies. After undergoing muscle testing (where they test if you are allergic to something by seeing how easy it is to push your arm down when held out while holding a vial of different substances) they found that i was allergic to lots of things that i had never had an issue with. I went to many acupuncture treatments to clear these allergies as well as allergies to different plants. It has made no difference in my allergic reaction in spring. I eventually gave up after about $ 1000 of treatment. I feel foolish for spending all that money. I know some people will swear by it and can only think that it is a convincing placebo for them or that they made other lifestyle changes that explain the changes. I had always been against conventional medicine but decided to give it a try and have found that Flonase has reduced my symptoms by 80%.
That said, they seem nice and well meaning and I imagine they believe in their treatment but then so did Doctors who did blood-​letting until the end of the 19^th Century.
