I recently came here to get my hair done by nancy. I’ve been wanting to go lighter for a very long time now and other places suck! It never turned out like how I wanted it to and over time, my hair turns orange. So disappointing! I found Nancy through Instagram. She posts so many pictures, so it gave me a good idea of what I wanted. It’s easy to explain what I wanted since she’s an expert with blonde hair. I also showed her pictures! She foiled the crap out of my hair and within three hours, my hair was super light! I was sooo happy. Finally someone who can lighten my hair without turning it orange! She also showed me different brands or purple shampoo to take care of my hair. If you want to get your hair done, you have to book an appointment with her 3 months in advance! As soon as I was done with my hair, I quickly made an appointment with her before she gets booked up! She gets booked up very fast btw. After coming to nancy, I won’t be going to anyone else. I am beyond happy with the results and I couldn’t believe my hair was super light. To be honest, I thought it wouldn’t turn out blonde because my hair was some what dark. I highly recommend nancy for coloring!

I must start off by saying that it was well worth the drive. I wanted ombré on my hair I didn’t want just anyone to do. After many months of research I came across Nancy. Her work is simply amazing! She did just what I asked for without damaging my hair. On the contrary, she did a deep conditioning which has my hair feeling so smooth and it looks beautiful. She is just full of life, can carry on a conversation, very humble too! I had such a great experience with her, she has now become my new hair dresser. I highly recommend her! Do not go to Krista Sweet in #108. I literary cried in my car for 15 mins ager she was done with my hair. I told her not to cute much off. Literary nothing. I said LESS than ¼ of an inch! … She cut off 2 inches!
I could not believe she would do that! I cried so long. She told me ««just go and buy some biotin.» WTF!!! Are you kidding me? How about you just don’t cut my hair if you don’t know what you’re doing.
Then I got home and looked at my hair closer, I have zebra striped everywhere! She didn’t even weave the hair in and out, like you would if you were doing highlights. I will post pictures if I figure out how to do that, so that you can see how horrendous my hair looks. I can’t even look at myself in the mirror without crying. I’m so upset.
I just moved down here and I was using group on to find a good hair lady, and this is what I get. I wish I could go back in time and never have gone to here.
She’s very rude, doesn’t care to talk to you, and best of all, doesn’t know how to do hair.
I should have known better when i asked «How long have you been doing hair?», response, «5 years.» What a lie!
If you want to save yourself some tears, don’t got to her for highlights.

I just had my Brazilian blowout done by Krista in Suite 108 and it was great! I found her on Groupon and am always very skeptical when trying out new places. However, Krista did a great job and was very time efficient. I’ve had experiences at salons where I would be there 2+ hours. Also, Phenix is separated into individual suites so I liked the privacy during my time there, rather than other clients or stylists being able to stare at you or interrupt while getting worked on. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I have the best hair gal in the OC Lisa Farmer — she can do amazing things with your hair, her expertise in color and cutting to fit you, to fit your way of life, your personality is stellar. Lisa is as sweet as they come and as professional and kind and works with you on what you want for your hair. I would never go anywhere else, she always makes me look great!

Krista Sweet did my blowout for the first time. Not even a week later my hair was already wavy. This is my 3^rd blowout and this has never happened before. my last 2 blowouts my hair was pin-​straight for 2 months. I don’t think she used enough product. Her attitude is generally unprofessional also and it takes her a while before she calls u back when her voicemail says «I will call u back within 24 hours». I rescheduled to get my hair re-​done but then she cancelled last minute. The good thing is that it was only $ 89 but it wasn’t worth it to me because the blowout didn’t even last a week.

Krista Sweet in Suite #108 gives sweet deals for brazilian blowouts! I tried her brazilian blowout through a living social deal and I like her for a couple of things:
1. She returns your call or text! Most stylists I tried to get a hold of never return my calls and always somehow screws up my appointment. I made my first appointment with Krista and my original appointment was kept. No changes.
2. $ 89 for a brazilian blowout, WOW! where can you find that out nowadays? Best thing is, you don’t have to wait for another living social deal to come around, she never changes her price.
3. She’s a speedy gonzales! My previous brazilian blowouts have taken from 2 – 6 hours, with the different stylists that i’ve tried. She did mine in an hour! This saved me so much time and I don’t have to sit there until I can’t feel my butt anymore. woohoo!
4. She’s down to earth. Unlike typical stylists who try to sell you brand name shampoos that costs $ 40 a bottle, she recommended me to get mine at costco. My initial reaction to kirkland brand was ?!@#%^?. My inner diva says, «NUH UH, that no-​name brand shampoo ain’t goin on my hair!» until she told me that it’s salon quality and I’d be surprised to see how good it is. So, what the heck, i’ll give it a try!

Sarah in Suite 104 does male and females brazilian waxing. I’ve been going to get for over a year and l love her! Easy to talk to and very nice. Approachable about anything. She is also a esthetician and does permanent makeup. I’ve also had her dye my eyelashes and loved it!

So I’ve been to other salons and as I’ve said before in another review, my hair is pretty crazy. It’s curly and unruly and almost impossible to manage. Every time I go in for a cut, it looks good for the day, until I wash it. And I’ve had pretty good haircuts before, but none as amazing as this one. Lisa F. was my stylist and she was so patient with me and took her time making sure every tiny portion of my hair was cut perfectly. She understoond (unlike many other stylists, even seasoned ones), how to properly style coarse, thick hair like mine. She guided me into getting the cut I had imagined, but being that the model in the picture had a different hair type, she did her best to match it. And I really love it. This is a pretty new place from what I was told, and I’m so happy I found out about it so soon. Thank goodness I was running some errands in their shopping center and happened to come accross them. Nosy me. :) It’s a lovely place, where each stylist has their own, homey, suites. You feel especially catered to here. Some salons are cold, bare, too loud or snobby. Not here. I felt like I was hanging out with a good girlfiend. I bet you’ll feel the same way too.
