This is one of my favorite spots to go in Westminster. The atmosphere is great and the I’ve always had great service. This is the kind of place that is very family friendly during the day but I could also meet my girls there for lunch. My hubby and I have gone there on our date night and also used it to meet up with our friends for dinner. So far everybody likes it. Even my stuffy in-laws, lol! My kids love to sit upstairs(the décor is really cool!). I’ve been there several times when they have live music, which was rather enjoyable, even though it’s music that I would not normally listen to. And the food! Honey, let me tell you… shrimp salad wrap, the reuben, the portabello sandwich, and the fries! Lordy, lordy, the fries!!! Yum!!! We fight over the fries. Prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get.

Quite shocking that Westminster of all towns would have such an amazing resturant. The food is phenomenal always perfectly cooked steak and the lamb is to die for. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere up stairs is always nice.

You know, I’ve only been in O’Lourdan’s once and that was in 2014 for a bachelorette party dinner. We sat upstairs in the nice dining area which was a really nice space and downstairs they have a bar with some bar seating as well. The food was DELICIOUS! All of us women who super pleased with our dishes. I got the Salmon on Mashed Potatoes with Spinach and it was sooooo good. It is true authentic Irish cuisine. The alcoholic beverages were really good as well and had the perfect ingredient ratios. They weren’t made too strong or too weak. Their prices are a little bit higher but honestly, it’s worth it. I don’t live that far away and the only thing that has kept me from returning is the parking because you can either park in the parking garage behind the restaurant or you can park in a side lot that has parking meters and I’m just not into downtown parking and the fact that we don’t really go out to eat a lot. We recently were gifted a gift card though and my husband and I are looking forward to coming back, grabbing some drinks and making more memories in a fantastic restaurant. Great job to everyone who works there! Your hard work is definitely not going unnoticed!

Had high hopes but there was nothing I liked about this place the two Times I went. Once was for drinks and once for dinner. I haven’t gone back and don’t plan to.

We had the opportunity to have lunch here today. The service was friendly and helpful. I had the fish and chips. The fish was a little greasy but still was pretty good. My wife had the Reuben which was quite tasty. The Maryland Crab soup was solid and the Crab Dip appetizer was very good. No complaints with our visit. We will eat here again.

The Guinness corned beef was the leanest I’ve ever had-excellent! It was served with mashed potatoes and garlic green beans. We topped off dinner with bread pudding that was also very good. The 10 – 15 minute wait on a Friday night(without reservations) was worth it.

Stopped in last night after a movie with the wife… Had seen this place for years but had just not got around to trying. I am glad that we finally made the time. Atmosphere was outstanding… we ducked out of the rain into an authentic pub and just a few minutes from the house. why did it take so long. Not crowded and no waiting for a table… Food was outstanding! I took one look at the menu and settled on Guinness Beef Stew. A more than adequate serving with two large hunks of bread to ensure you cleaned the bowl. WOW! My wife had Shepard’s Pie and was similarly pleased… No doubt we will be back to try some of the other menu items but if only these two items were served, it would be worth it! Oh, bread pudding portion was HUGE and it was good but can’t really say it was authentic. The only thing that was lacking… was Service; 1st, the hostess led us to a table upstairs, dropped the menus on the table without so much as looking back… disappeared, gone(WTH?)… Now it only took a few minutes for the waitress to show up but still… The waitress did come to the table and took our order after a few minutes… The 1st beer was delivered shortly and it went down quickly… the 2nd took over 10 minutes to be delivered after requested(was told getting food out of kitchen was her priority). Okay… so not too bad over all but it did keep me from giving the 5th star.

My favorite! Paulie at the bar is a true legend. The potato soup we die for. Very cozy with fireplace. Accommodate smoking out back. Very good traditional Irish foods. Bands come here to hang with familiar Irish Pub experience. Superb and romantic!

I’ve honestly never been fond of Irish cuisine. But I think that’s just because I’ve never had good Irish food. Just your run of the mill cornbeef and cabbage from the pointin still kind of stuff. But oh man I’ve been thinking about this meal all week. We started with the Irish egg which was like some divine heavenly concoction straight from the bowels of William Wallace. An egg surrounded by sausage goodness and then deep fried. The gravy is the best part. It’s like this rich Mustard stock made only for the gods. I could bathe in this golden liquid and I’m pretty sure I’d live forever. Just thinking about it clogs my arteries. That was just the starter. Our meals were even better!!! The wifey had the shepherds pie which was the best Ive ever tasted. The baby had a side is sausage which I actually didn’t like because it was half fat. On a side note I would probably avoid the sausage here. For the king, well I had this incredible Guinness stew which was just outrageous. The meat was tender and lean. The vegetables were cooked very well and the sauce was obscene. I even loved the bread it came with. Perfect for dipping. Now look people, this isn’t diet food. Don’t come here longing for a healthy snack. After I left this place I was full for like 2 days. That’s probably because I ate enough for 3 drunk Irish guys. I’ve never been to Ireland But if your looking for authentic Irish I would imagine this is it . The restaurant itself is a bar with a pretty neat side room where we sat. It reminded me of what an Irish castle would look like. Lots of stone. Very cool indeed. Our waitress was lovely and the place –although old– looked clean and well kept. Definitely coming back !!!

The draft beer and drink selection is extensive with lots of Irish favorites, as you might expect. Service was great and so was the food. We ordered our Irish favorites — stew and shepherds pie. Thoroughly enjoyed both. Tried our son’s bangers breakfast and other sons shrimp salad — both excellent. Our waiter was attentive and others helped set up tables and keep us happy(10 plus a baby). Had no problem with doing 5 separate checks. We’ve eaten here a couple other times, all with good results.

In addition to delivering the ideal Irish experience channeling Dublin itself, the fare is simply spectacular. The lightly battered cod sticks were prepared with exquisite care, balancing a light fish with a batter that was complimentary without being insistent upon the pallet. Even the cheese plate came with 5 unique delectable cheeses, each exposing your taste buds to a captivating sensation of goodness. Word to the wise, they are not playing around with their potato skins. For those individuals that equate potato skins with those shriveled up, greasy skins from a local TGI Friday’s, you will be wholly unprepared for the 4 immense offerings that come from this kitchen. Each of the 4 skins(and I use that term loosely) is a full half potato, delightfully prepared with cheese, chives and bacon. This dish reminds you that one could live on just potatoes for a while. As a playful aside, my friend doesn’t eat asparagus. This restaurant simply cannot be stopped as the asparagus had this grilled char, and for the first time in my life, I saw my friend enjoy a green vegetable outside of broccoli. Wonders continue past vegetables, as the duck, beef and guinness stew, and Shepherd’s Pie were prepared with the utmost of care. The presentation demonstrated a passion to integrate fresh ingredients into an unforgettable experience. Add in some Tullamore Dew Phoenix, a great staff, and a delightful small town outside the doors of the restaurant, and this place absolutely merits your attention. If you are a fan of Irish pubs, set your GPS for this small town and dine here post haste! The only downside to this restaurant was that I had absolutely no room for dessert, so I had to settle for an Irish coffee. I highly recommend this restaurant — in closing, my friend is debating between finishing his delightful ravioli, his refreshing beer or ordering a decadent dessert, knowing that he can’t finish all three. We should all be so lucky to have such difficult decisions.

I love their unique Irish dishes. whether it’s lunch, brunch, dinner or pub grub. Very cool vibe both on the inside and out. Right in the heart of downtown Westminster with plenty of parking and lots to see and do within steps of the pub.

The décor is very typical of an old Irish pub and creates a good environment. The staff are friendly and appear to be very busy but I feel like the attention to the customers is lacking. I walked in(with a friend) and me having never been there and not knowing what to order waited a bit before we were polled for our order. I asked for a beer menu which I was promptly given, but a good bartender with a knowledge of beer would have polled my tastes and liking and immediately directed me towards a particular beer. Instead we waited about 15 minutes to place a simple beer order. Once our glasses were empty we waited until we could get a bartenders attention. Bartenders need to be attentive, friendly and knowledgeable each of which I feel tonight’s crew lacked. I feel this place has potential and with the right direction can be a great Irish pub.

Great Irish Pub. Good pub food and Guinness on tap. Nice clean place with a great atmosphere. The outside is an old stone building with a free parking garage around the back.

Stopped there for lunch and was really impressed! Salmon topped with crispy leeks was delicious. Big portion and reasonable prices. The décor is very interesting and the building looks historic!

Met here for a large family dinner. We’d eaten here before. Fairly standard Irish fare but done well. All but one person got the Potato and Leek soup which was very good. I just had the field greens salad. Others enjoyed the club sandwich, steak salad and fish. It was good not fantastic but good. The server for having a mostly empty area was a little on the slow side but friendly.

Great food/atmosphere, horrible service. O’Lordon’s offers the world the BESTBURGER I have EVER had!!! My boyfriend and I used to go there often to get a Blarney Burger and experience a nice date night atmosphere. BUT, the past 3 times my boyfriend and I have dined there, we have had the worst service I have ever found in Westminster. The one guy who waited on us last time was totally clueless, and we have not been back since. He nonchalantly cleaned a table right next to us, acting as though he had nothing better to do, after we spent 15 minutes waiting for him to come to our table to take our drink order. He continued to leave us hanging throughout the meal, and eventually we went down to the hostess stand to ask for our check because we hadn’t seen him for 20 minutes. Basically, he couldn’t have given us worse service if he had been trying. This wasn’t the only time we experienced horrible service, but it was the worst example of it. I hope the management fires their careless employees so I can enjoy their food again…
