I called them to order 2 togo orders for my family members and spoke to a lady and tell me why she picked up the phone and took the order and hung up! I wanted to ask for the total amount, I called back and got a man and stated my name and my order and I said«I called back to order food and ask for my total amount and the lady hung up!» He interrupted me and ignored my complaint and said it’ll be ready in 10 mins, I asked for the total amount he said it’s $ 6.75 multiply by 2 he said to get the total. I was so in awe that I yelled and said you tell me how much the total is and he said $ 13.50. Hope they close down even if their food is good but service like that is horrendous!!! This is like the 3rd time I’ve had argued with them.

Half fried chicken and rice — skin is always crispy and delicious, the chicken meat however is a hit or miss. Sometimes when its cooked right, meat is very moist but when its not and overcooked, the breast meat can be very dry. Either way, its very filling and satisfying to eat for 5 bucks. I love the dark dipping sauce, it goes really well with the rice and chicken. The fried egg is a nice addition and a sort of cherry on top. Mi xao don — sometimes when I’m not that hungry I order this. Its tolerable for the price. The noodles are crispy which I like. The sauce however is a little too slimey but then again, I don’t eat it for the sauce. Theres very minimal meat and veggies in this one. I absolutely hate the baby corn. Other than that, with some sriracha sauce drizzled all over it to give it that extra kick, its pretty good. Steak and rice — not my fav but my sisters like it enough. The size of the steak can be small or large, depending on your luck haha. Everything else on the menu is not worth a try. Every time I go here, I always find something new to look at. Their décor… is pretty eccentric.

I went here with my mother today. We went here because we were looking for 1.99 crispy noodles. We walk in and get seated for two. I look at the menu and the once inexpensive 1.99 noodles are now 4.50. I am baffled and tell the employee I need time to think about my order and he just steps back 2 feet watching me look at the menu. I felt uncomfortable and left because of the employee and that there prices have more than DOUBLED. Please change the name to Nang Hang. The 1.99 at the end is false advertising.

Food is good but service is terrible. They really should change the name of the restaurant. I remember when I came here back in the days the price was 1.99. I understand that the price went up but at least change the name of the place because it’s pretty much false advertising. Anyways with the service, the workers literally just stared at my party. And walked pass us until my friend said table for three? Also one of the other worker didn’t seat us but slammed three menus at a table that we passed. So if you’re looking for good service this place isn’t the place to go. But its good food and it comes out quickly.

Yummy foods. It doesn’t cost $ 1.99 like before the price increase a while back. I think price increase since Bill Clinton is out of the office. It’s now cost $ 5.79 for the meal. Tasted so good as always. Decent amount of foods given 2 plates feed 4 people. 2 adults and 2 toddlers.

5.75 holy cow. What are you doing. I remember the good olé days some 10 years back when the store first open. 1.99 goodness. I stay with them when it went up to 2.75. Remained when it was 3.25. Reluctantly consumed their foods at 4.25. NOW it’s nearly 6 dollars? C’mon now.

Okay well, their restaurant name is a little outdated, but I’ve been going here since their menu items were ACTUALLY $ 1.99! The appearance is offsetting, that’s for sure. But I love their food. Their most popular item is probably the ½ cornish hen with their rice. Absolutely delicious especially with the dipping sauce they provide. And the pickled veggies are a great way to balance out the heavy meal. The chicken always comes out crispy and hot! And the portions are big enough to definitely fill me up. Even though their signature dish is the most expensive item on their menu, I think it’s still super affordable for what you’re getting! If you don’t mind a hole in the wall restaurant with some good food, this is the place for you :)

Com ga here is so good! Comes with an egg. The black sauce it comes with is delicious. It wouldnt be the same without it. Chicken is crispy on outside and soft on the inside. Still good even if you don’t eat it fresh!

This is the typical vietnamese restaurant. HORRIBLESERVICE, with the mysteriously sticky chairs and tables and good food. The $ 1.99 chicken dish has become the $ 4.50 quarter of a chicken with a side of egg, rice and pickled cabbage. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion is small, but tasty. There is nothing special about the fried over the rice, but it is an excellent filler. The pickled cabbage and salty sauce adds flavor to the dish. I would have given it 3 stars, but this place makes me question the cleanliness of the food. I watched our server dig into his ear with his pinky then come out with our food. Who wants to see that? Worst way to begin our meal.

Nothing on their menu is $ 1.99. Would that be considered false advertising? Small portions but it is still cheap nonetheless. Be ready to order 2 dishes if you want to be full. Food quality is OK. I never want to go here. I’m always dragged here. But it’s cheaper than McDonalds and it’s not fast food. Come here if you can’t figure out what you want and you want something better than fast food. Don’t expect awesome service.

My favorite place for com ga! I’ve been coming here for years. They should really change their name because it’s not $ 1.99 anymore like how it used to be! They raised the price soo much but I guess it’s still worth it. They also added in an egg to your order of com ga. I love that little black/brown sauce that comes with the chicken. I don’t know what it is, but it’s addicting! Very fast service, I’m usually in and out of that place within 5 minutes or less! Ohhh and it’s cash only):

$ 1.99? No no no. The price for the Cornish hen dish is more like the mid-to-high $ 5 per dish. If you order a water to avoid the cost of a drink, you will be surely mistaken. You will received a Kirkland or equivalent brand water bottle with your meal. Just opt for the iced tea but be careful of sucking up a FULLFLOWERORITSPETALS. That’s actually happened to me lol If you’ve never tried the soup, it might be worth a try. It comes with a pretty tender piece of pork and some root veggie(probably a potato). Have it when it’s hot. It’s not good when it’s luke warm. Warning: they don’t tell you if their Cornish hens are particularly small today… They just assuming they can appease with you an overcooked egg. I think the egg was supposed to be over-easy but they just cooked the yolk all the way through and threw it into a pile until it’s ready to be placed on a plate. The Cornish hen is always BLISTERINGHOT when it comes out so please watch your fingers. Get extra«sauce» if you like smothering things. It’s a good sauce. I use it for my rice and chicken so I’m scrapping the bottom when I’m nearing the end of the meal. I’m pretty sure the sauce is just sugar, onions, oil and soy sauce. The service is always lacking. I have no idea where to put this hen’s bones(I just make a pile on top of a napkin on the side of my plate) and the lady at the cash register always seems angry at something): Regardless, I’ve been going here for years… And I’m here every few months. It’s just not that great. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it and it’s CASHONLY.

Nha Hang $ 1.99 is the epitome of Vietnamese restaurants. The service is crap, the tables are sticky, charge you for tap water and the food is good. In addition, they are close on Mondays but are open on Christmas. Go figure, right? Priorities are all messed up. Anyway, I only go here for the Chicken and Rice and it’s usually to-go for the reasons listed in my first paragraph. The chicken skin is crispy, the meat moist(yes, I said moist so get your mind out of the gutter), and the rice is perfectly cooked. It’s $ 5 and the sauce is crack. The sauce! It’s sooo good it makes you wanna slap your mama, son! That is all.
