A little hole in the wall, strip mall Chinese place with absolutely the best Chinese food in the area, bar none. We’ve given up on delivery from other places and go there to pick it up. Succulent, seasoned well, and with excellent textures.

We just recently moved from Florida(where great Chinese food is abundant) to Broomfield and we were concerned that we wouldn’t find a good Chinese place. We saw the reviews and decided to give it a try, we got the lunch specials at $ 6.25 each which included soup, egg roll or crab wontons and entrée. So much food for so cheap! The service was very nice, the atmosphere was ok, but the quality of the food was awesome! Will definitely be coming back.

I recently ordered some delivery from Hong Fu & was pretty impressed. The food was good, compared to most Chinese restaurants in the area. I had the sesame chicken, it was very fresh & had good flavor. The pricing was fair & the delivery was pretty quick. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth trying!

This place is filthy. The bathrooms haven’t been cleaned in a long time. The floors, toilet and sink are disgusting. Cob webs all over. Boxes of clutter in hallway to bathrooms. I almost walked out after seeing how dirty this place was everywhere I looked. The only reason I didn’t is because I was with other people who didn’t want to make a scene about it. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with egg roll, hot and sour soup. The soup was awful and coagulated. I took about 2 bites of my food and left it. If I had seen the kitchen, I probably would have vomited. A lot of these reviews are for«take out»…I suspect those people don’t know the level of filth their food is being cooked around. Fair warning!

I trusted you people. Granted, the reviews that showed up on my phone were better than what is showing up now on my computer at home, but still, FOUR starts? Come on! First, it’s a dump. It’s dirty. Everywhere. There was one person running the whole front of the store, and she looked a little frazzled. I said hi. She ignored me. When she looked like she was ready to take my order, she looked up at me. I asked her something, but she had no idea what I was saying. I realized she spoke almost no English. After a short game of charades, she took my order. While she was taking my order, she began coughing. She used her hand to cover her mouth … and then held out that hand to take my credit card. Ack. After she ran my order, I went to the washroom to wash my hands – and the credit card. NOSOAP. How can employees wash their hands if there’s no soap? Pretty sure that’s a health code violation. There are also a bunch of boxes of food products laying directly on the ground in the hallway. Pretty sure that’s a health code violation, too. After she took my order, she went to get«fountain drinks» for everyone. Except that there’s no fountain. She went to the fridge in the hallway, took out a soda, opened it with the hand she coughed in, then took a large plastic cup in that same hand, and dipped it into the ALWAYSOPEN Ice Maker Box, bringing the cup out with ice in it. I guess they lost their scooper. Also a health code violation. While waiting for my food to be prepared, I watched her clear a table, bringing a cup of fried chow mein noodles from off the dirty table and placing it into the kitchen window for reuse. OMG. Based on your reviews, I ordered: Beef Lo Mein – I haven’t tried it yet. Orange Chicken – It was a little dry and bland. It was supposed to be a spicy dish. It was not. White rice – normal, except that in the middle of one of the boxes was something pink that must have fallen in. Gross! Crab Rangoon – Yeah, no. There is no crab in this. Only cream cheese. Should be called Cream Cheese Rangoon. Vietnamese Egg Rolls – The best thing I ordered. Delicious, full of meat, the right amount of spice, the perfect crisp on the outside. But, it only came with two little containers of duck sauce. And, even my fortune cookies were broken into tiny little pieces. The food was just OK, so clearly you people need to get out more. Maybe there should be a rule that you are only allowed to review Chinese restaurants if you have first eaten abroad or in any Chinatown? I won’t eat here again. The health code violations totally grossed me out.

We opted on a take-out meal from Hong Fu. It turned out to be a typical hole-in-the-wall Chinese Restaurant experience. This isn’t necessarily a negative since that is where you can typically find the best Chinese food in lue of the Changs and Pei Wei options or the über-expensive«fancier» authentic places. The food was good, yet greasy and obviously an unhealthy dining option. The counter person was minimally helpful and did not honor the coupon price on the meal. This falls somewhere between the language/culture barrier and a genuine disinterest in being personable. It was an ok experience, but we probably will not choose Hong Fu again.

Another pointless, lackluster Denver area Chinese restaurant. It amazes me how these joints nearly all have the same boring menus. We tried the vegetable noodle soup($ 7.45), which was a medium sized bowl offering a pile of noodles, a few chunks of broccoli, bamboo, mushroom, green pepper, and celery in a bland, tepid broth. We also had the Kung Pao Tofu, which was adequate for a lunch special, but the egg rolls were absurdly greasy. Personally, I wouldn’t return, as I could make any of this crap at my house. This meal was so anger-invoking, that it necessitated coming home, and guzzling several pints to numb the disgust.

Hong Fu is the staple child of the average Chinese restaurant that you will find in Colorado nowadays. Some dishes are pretty good and some dishes are sub par. It’s hard to find a Chinese restaurant with stellar marks on every dish but here are my comments for what I did try… Egg Drop soup — 3⁄10 Hot & Sour soup — 3⁄10 Sesame Chicken — 5⁄10 Shrimp Lo Mein — 5⁄10 Pork Egg Rolls — 6⁄10 Cheese Wontons — 8⁄10 All in all, I would come back for the egg rolls and the cheese wontons as they are above average but I would skip the main entrees…

Super yummy. Best hot n sour soup around, but why are all Chinese hot and sour soups so overloaded with sodium? Great chicken and garlic sauce. Its far from me but worth the drive. People are great there as well.

It’s always hard to find a Chinese food restaurant that’s really good every time. We recently moved to the area and were iffy about this place at first, but had an amazing first experience! It’s inexpensive, faster than most Chinese restaurants, and tastes really good! We’ve already eaten here 4 times since we moved to the area 2 months ago. It’s great every time!

Mediocre Chinese food. I tried this restaurant based on other Unilocal reviews and found that the food was not very good. I’ve had much better Chinese in other cities. My relatives don’t eat spicy food, so we ordered cashew chicken, mushu chicken, sesame chicken and mixed vegetables. The cashew and sesame chicken were soggy and flavorless. The best dish was the mushu. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful.

While growing up, my family held a longstanding tradition of eating Chinese food and watching a movie on Sunday nights for the past… forever? Though I’ve moved away from home, that strong craving of copious amounts of rice and just-sodium-laden-enough vegetables and roast pork hits me with a fervor on Sundays. So, while tooling around in Westminster with some friends recently, we decided to try out this spot based on all of its positive reviews! We had a fairly large order and were really pleased about how quickly it was ready for takeout– probably about 15 minutes, smack-dab in the middle of dinner time. The staff was great too; they gave us a free order of crab rangoon and were wonderfully friendly. Portions were HUGE. Large clamshell containers of each order that encouraged just the right amount of gluttony Chinese food requires. Food was good, but nothing particularly special. The soy-based sauces tasted… well, a lot more like plain soy sauce than much else. Nothing was of poor quality or weirdly prepared, but it was all fairly forgettable. Based on all the great reviews, we may have just caught them on a bad night. Based on the friendly and quick service, as well as the great reputation, I’m sure I’ll try them again.

Excellent Food and very Affordable! Customer service is mom and pop and I like it. A hole in the wall and i like that also. Its not to crowded and they deliver also. I recomend the Seafood Hot and Sour soup if you like that sort of thing

This is a great Chinese place that my family frequented repeatedly after church; it never seemed overly busy for the Sunday lunch rush, which was nice, though they seemed to do a decent bit of to-go business. The interior is nothing fancy; booths and tables kept neat and clean by the staff on duty. The restrooms are well-stocked and kept up on, and the staff members are always friendly and keep your soda topped off. Never ran dry while I was there, which is great. They have lunch specials every day, and a robust menu of delicious offerings. I loved the black bean sauce and all their shrimp dishes were also delicious, though I found myself ordering the combination lo mein more often than not because I like noodles with everything in them. The appetizers are tasty, as well, and even though there would be between six and nine of us at any given time, all the food came out in relatively short order, hot and ready-to-eat, without any more wait time than it took for the server to come back with the next four to five plates of food when they needed two trips. The portions are good, the prices are quite fair and the staff is great. Definitely a place to return to.
