Hollywood Beauty Supply

I’ve been coming here for all my nail care supplies since my manicurist school days 1996. They have everything you need in bulk at a HUGE savings! I stopped by tonight on our way home for nail files, cuticle nipper, etc… and Howard (Owner) was closing, but let me make my purchases anyway. Very helpful and kind. I’ve always had a nice experience here. Thank you Howard!

I’m sure that you’d be able to find whatever supplies you need for a Mani/​pedi. You WILL NOT find an updated supply of the latest and greatest brand name polish collections here. I visited this small, cramped shop, hoping to find new shipments of the polish inventory and I was disappointed every time. I’ve never made a purchase here and never will. Don’t waste your time.

Just stopped by yesterday to buy some nail polish. The manager was really nice and helpul. It was almost 8pm and he was very happy to help me with color choices. He welcomed us with a smile. I have to say it is hard to see at asian businesses. I would definitely come back.

I only go to this particular beauty supply store for a certain brand of callus softener that no one else carries, or else I wouldn’t continue shopping here. Several months ago I needed to buy 3 polish racks. Fortunately for me, I know the approximate prices of these. I stopped in one day to pick up the polish racks and asked the female owner if they had any. She says yes, they are $ 100. I thought she meant for all three, which was really high, but then she says that they are $ 100 EACH! I knew I was being completely ripped off and decided to leave. I went to several other stores in the area, but they were out of stock. So I waited a few weeks and stopped back in to Hollywood Beauty Supply. Fortunately the male owner was there and I told him I needed 3 of the polish racks that are $ 20 each. He went to the back and brought them out. The female owner was there and didn’t say a word. I can’t believe she had the nerve to try and over charge me by more than $ 200! I wonder how many other people she does that to.
Be sure you know your prices before shopping at this store!

Maybe I got a little better service than the first reviewer because I am Vietnamese. Who knows?
What I do know is that place has a lot of beauty supplies, mostly nail stuff. The store is very cluttered and you are better off asking Howard (he gave me his card) what you are looking for… like Crackle nail polish, my new addiction. High end brands (OPI and China Glaze) have a limited selection, but he did have the latest OPI lines: Katy Perry and Burlesque!
I most likely won’t be back, since I don’t live in the area, but if you are waiting for Ngu Binh (a few doors down), then it doesn’t hurt to check them out.
