This is apparently a Vietnamese vegan takeout place run by Hand to Hand World Rescue Mission, a non-profit organization also based in Westminster, founded in 2013. There is little independent information or independent reviews about this organization so I can’t verify the legitimacy of this fairly new non-profit organization. Aside from that, everyone who works there seemed very pleasant and the food was well seasoned and cooked. I like Vietnamese food but since I don’t eat pork and offal of any kind, my choices at a regular Vietnamese restaurant are quite limited, and this provides a great alternative for me when I crave Vietnamese food. All of the food served here are basically Vietnamese dishes made with vegan substitutes(tofu or other forms of soy protein) that replace the animal protein used in non-vegan recipes. All of the items I’ve had did not disappoint, but my favorites by far were the stuffed bitter melon and stuffed jalapeño peppers. The vegetarian spring rolls located by the cash register($ 3.00 for 3 rolls), made with shredded taro and rice noodles, are light and refreshing for a satisfying vegan breakfast. I let one of my non-vegetarian friends at work try one, and she liked it even better than the ones made with meat from non-vegetarian Vietnamese restaurants. The last time I was there, one of the older ladies pointed to the hot food on the steam table and said, «They are organic.» Due to a language barrier, I was not able to confirm if only some or all of the ingredients are organic, but I suspect she was probably referring to the tofu used in the different dishes. This is for the most part a takeout business though there is limited seating for customers who prefer to eat in. It is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. I’ve been there twice and noticed that at least 8 hot items were ready in the steam table trays by the time the doors open at 8:30 a.m. Combos are $ 5.00 each, and include white rice and two sides. À la carte options are also available starting at $ 3.00 for a small container.

Formerly known as New Huong Tofu, This place is a vegetarian/vegans dream! Clean place, affordable food, and it’s really good too! Everything I have gotten so far I have liked. They have hot and ready to-go food or they have soup and various other dishes you can order to be made. So glad I found this spot!

Since Van Hanh closed, this is my new favorite affordable vegetarian place to go to. The workers are very nice. It’s non profit. The food is pretty good, and prices are lower than most vegetarian restaurants. I totally recommend this place! You can dine in if you want but seating is limited. I will be coming back soon!
