The bread is okay it is fresh. The boba and coffee is decent. I love the rolls. They are comparable to brodards but a lot cheaper. I would suggest calling before hand to order them. Seems like they are short staffed.

My overall experience was neutral — not fantastic nor horrible. I ordered Banh Mi Nem Nuong, which costs $ 2.75. But the cashier asked for $ 3.00. I said, «Ok, sure.» So, I handed over my money. Also, they only accept cash. But the sign said $ 2.75, so I asked if tax was included. He said no. Then I clarified my order. Originally, he thought I ordered Nem Nuong Dac Biet, which costs $ 3.00. I never said that in the first place… On top of that, I asked for no peppers, but after leaving the restaurant I checked my banh mi. There were still peppers… Pros: cheap prices. Cons: forgetting«special» requests.

Husband and I were in the area and wanted to grab some lunch. I was craving some spring rolls, and happened to find this on Unilocal. We ordered a sandwich, spring rolls, and 2 milk teas for under $ 12! Prices are very reasonable. I can also dare to say their spring rolls are as good as Brodard’s or better. Their customer service is definitely better than Brodard’s. We’ll definitely come back when we’re in the mood for spring rolls. Oh, and it is a cash only place.

Each person has their own opinion. I think Golden Sandwiches has great Nem Nng. It’s cheap. Just 75cent for a stick. For a roll, it costs $ 1. My family always order from one to three box for a party(only Nem). I think this place is okay enough, not that bad like what people say out there.

I ordered«nem nuong» here and I thought it was okay. They did have that crunchy egg-roll inside the rolls that made it good as brodard, but the dipping sauce was very bland. The banh mi that we ordered was a joke! We wanted thit nuong, but the worker said they were out of it. We asked her to make a sandwich that is just as good and she made us a nem nuong sandwich. What the heck? Who would recommend a nem nuong sandwich when the customer had already ordered 5 nem nuong rolls??? I was so mad because I am 100% sure she only made us a nem nuong sandwich because she had extra leftover and wanted to get rid of it. PLUS, they are sooo cheap! It hardly looked like a banh mi because there was nothing inside! A pinch of meat and a pinch of veggies.

Update: their prices have been raised slightly but food is still good! Although service a little slow, the staff are very friendly and helpful. See pictures I posed for pricing update. This place stands out from other Vietnamese sandwich shops not only for their low pricing but also for their friendly customer service and for their clean and spacious shop. They have pretty decent nem Nuong rolls which a warm sauce. They make their rolls by the order so the rice papwr is nice and soft and their nem is warm. The sauce is alright, at only $ 1 per roll… cheaper than other Vietnamese deli/bakeries. Sauce is nothing extraordinary but I did enjoy it’s warmth and sweet flavor. More on the hoisin sauce flavor side than that of brodard’s special sauce. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is great too! Not too sweet and pretty tasty. Again, also cheap compared to lee’s Or tan Hoang Huong down the street. I have yet tried their sandwiches but it’s definitely next on my list the next time I’m Back here. Come give it a try next you’re in the area!

I came here couple times and around 3,4pm. The place is new but sandwich and roll are not bad at all. Of course don’t compare with the other fancy places. If you want to get something quick, easy and cheap around here, this place is not bad and price is cheap. However, the place is new so they need to improve more to get more customers.

So happy this place is located right before I get to Kickin Crab! Normally I would get baguettes at Lee’s Sandwich to eat with my shrimp at Kickin Crab. The other day I went to Lee’s Sandwich and bought a baguette for $ 1.50 and it was way small. I felted ripped off. Then I walked into this place and their baguettes only cost $ 1 each for a super long loaf! I was so happy that I ordered 2 loaves! They handed it me to crispy and warm. I definitely have to come back to try the other items on the menu! Minus 1 star for the slow service.

To the owners of this establishment… You NEED to pay attention to what the Unilocalers are saying. I went in this morning for a PLAIN baguette and an apple croissant. What should have been a 2 minute transaction, took almost 10 minutes. That’s ridiculous. I wasn’t ordering a sandwich, wasn’t ordering anything out of the ordinary, just a PLAIN baguette. It sounded like he was heating it up in a convection oven or microwave. TOTALLY unacceptable. He didn’t even offer to heat up my apple croissant.(although that probably would have taken another 10 minutes) I don’t have time to wait for an item you should have ready to go. This is what is going to KILL your business. There was only 1 other person in the store with me and they were already eating and it STILL took this long. THESERVICEISHORRIBLYSLOW. I’m sorry, but I will go down the street to Lees at Goldenwest and Westminster. Never going back again.

Cheap prices for a reason. Terrible and slow service. The iced coffee was good but everything else was subpar and blasted in the microwave. Not impressed and probably won’t return even though it’s right by my house.

I’ve been here 3 times in the last week for the spring rolls. They are cheap and have a lot of fresh veggies inside. I totally love them. I’ve also tried a couple of other things. The phở was mediocre. The broth was bland but the beef was pretty good. The sandwiches were just okay. I got one with 2 nem skewers and another with grilled pork. The sandwiches were lacking something… pâté? The bread was not as good as other places. I don’t eat sandwiches often so I would pay a little more for a juicy filling one from top baguette or tip top sandwiches. The café sua da was good and cheap! The boba teas were typical but nothing special. I appreciate that they weren’t too sweet though. My biggest gripe with this place was the service. They were so slow. It took forever for the food to come out when the place was empty. I recommend calling in an order for nem rolls and picking it up. That way you avoid the snail service!

I stopped in here with my pops and sister for breakfast. We each got phở that came with a free drink. I got a phở bo vien. For the low prices, the phở was okay. There wasn’t much bo vien added and the broth was decent. The drinks also weren’t too overly sweet. Overall, not bad. They also had Vietnamese sandwiches, nem nuong rolls, and other items that a normal Vietnamese sandwich place has. The girl working was really nice. Their eating area is pretty spacious. For such low prices, you can’t complain. I recommend for anyone for lunch or needs to stop in and order some quick sandwiches to take out.

Petty good nen nuong sandwich. The sauce is AMAZING. Just 1 thing: sandwich was very chewy. It felt like left over sandwich. Next time I ll ask them to either toast it or just give me a brand new sandwich.

I don’t live close and don’t come to this area often but was happen to be passing buy and saw ‘smoothies’ so I pulled over. Ended up getting a delicious croissant sandwich and boba milk tea(6 $ for both!!). Both were great. Very friendly man(assuming he’s the owner). Great spot! Even brought me out my order. Definitely a worthy food place to try out.

Nem Nuong for only 75 cents?! I already knew this place probably wouldn’t be as good as brodard ’cause honestly let’s face it. I’ve eaten rolls from almost every viet restaurant in bolsa/westminster and none of them beat brodard! Maybe it’s their secret sauce idk Anyway, their shop is new and really clean. The cashier was nice enough to give me a sample of their nem nuong w/sauce before I bought anything. I would say the nem nuong here is a bit leaner than most other places. It’s not as greasy and fatty which is good, but I just wasn’t used to it. I ended up ordering 7 pieces to-go and it didn’t take long to make. They come in skewers and yes a big container of sauce. The sauce was alright… a bit too watery. What I do like about their sauce though is that it’s not super salty and I don’t hafta feel like I need to down a gallon of water after eating the nem nuong. Note: The picture had the nem nuong w/lettuce and the pickled radish/carrots, so i assumed my order would come w/it, but it doesn’t. I was fine by this though cause I was gonna make my own rolls at home & had the vegies, but still would have been nice if they gave it. Not sure if I’d come back to try their sandwiches and such, but would probably come again if I need to find a place that sells nem nuong only. Not sure how long their promo will last though

We noticed their advertising signs all around town, so we decided to give this place a try. First off, their menu was all over the place; very confusing. The worker that helped us was very friendly, though. We got the grilled chicken and grilled pork and it came out to be under $ 5. That’s really cheap for two sandwiches! Came home to only find that the meat to bread ratio was so small. We ended up eating only half of the sandwich because there was just too much bread. Don’t think we are coming back.

Was very curious to try this new joint out seeing as there are so many mixed reviews. I got the banh mi thit nuong & a nem skewer. It was really good! The sandwich wasn’t dry(but the bread was a tad bit hard) & it had the perfect amount of meat to veggie ratio. Idk what the lady below is complaining about not having any meat in her sandwich. She really must be blind… Also, the thit nuong & nem did not taste alike at all. Idk how to explain the different tastes because they both are pork, but they do not taste the same. Not quite sure what that other guy was talking about in his review. I swear the nem here is better(& cheaper!!!) than Brodard’s. This place has really good food for such low prices, so I agree with other reviewers on that! Not surprised if nearby competitors are leaving nasty reviews on here because there are a heck of a lot more 5 stars, but Unilocal has«hidden» them for whatever reason, which is probably why this place has such a low rating :(I guess you can’t blame them too much because… How can these competitors compete with such great food at low prices?! I will definitely be returning ^__^

I tried banh mi thit nuong and banh mi nem nuong with my co-worker here. It tastes average at best. As bad as it sounds, I couldn’t taste the difference. Thit nuoung should have a bbq taste similar to cha siu. The shop down the street of goldenwest serves better tasting thit nuong. Their café sua da is actually not as strong as even Lee’s sandwich, which is pretty sad for such standard. As a new business, unless they put more quality and taste, I do not believe they will take away customers from an already competitive business sector. It may be cheaper than competition, but feels like it’s not worth saving $ 0.75 to $ 1.75 on sandwich/coffee combination.

This place is near my work, so I decided to drop on by just to see what they offered or if it could beat Tan Hoang Huong’s banh mi. Yup. I could even say it’s as good or even better than THH. + SUPER fresh. Everything is made to order. + Banh mi thit nuong is amazing. Very flavorful! It’s a little plain looking, but tastes bomb! + Green tea here is better than Lollicup’s. The boba is chewy and savoring. + CHEAP. How about an amazing sandwich AND a drink that tastes better than Lollicup for just about $ 5? That’s a steal. ESPECIALLYFORPOORCOLLEGESTUDENTSLIKEMYSELF. All in all, this will be my go-to for banh mi!
