Gold Leaf Framing & Restoration

I want to thank a combination of fellow Unilocalers, and some of my neighborhood Facebookers for recommending Gold Leaf! Everything they said and more was true.
From, the moment my husband and I walked in with our piece of art and met Linda, I knew that we were in good hands. She is gentle, but assertive, knowledgeable, but open minded. I felt like she guided us into discovering the frame we liked instead of telling us what we should get. That’s a gift! Our framing job was a float instead of a regular mat and frame, because it’s a giclee on art paper. We spent at least two hours there trying this frame, that mat, etc. until we were pretty sure we had it right. Even then, she wouldn’t let us decide. She insisted that we take several pieces and colors of mats and frames to try at home in our room in different kinds of light. Linda wouldn’t be satisfied until she knew we would be 100% happy with our choices. I also felt an instant friendship with Linda and could have (and almost did) talk to her all day long! I’m so glad we went there. Even though my husband and I have been married for over 18 years, and have bought many pretty things for our home, this was our very first piece of art lovingly chosen and purchased together. All in all, this was a magical experience! Oh, and she got it done in less than two weeks!

I picked up my shadow box today and it is magnificent! My favourite thoroughbred race horse is 2014 Horse of the year California Chrome, local boy does good! A very special piece of tack, a halter worn by him along with a Letter of Authenticity, needed an extraordinary mounting. Linda’s business was recommended by the Art Warehouse down the street and boy were they right. The consultation with Linda was enjoyable and enlightening. She is a very patient lady to put up with my fan girl gushing over a horse but she loves doing shadow boxes because they come with backstory and she got an earful from me.
I did not know exactly what I wanted but this turned out better than my wildest dreams. Her advice on frame stock, interior lining material and color, glass, placement, attachment of a heavy item and even choosing a suitable photo to add was top notch. It cost a pretty penny but is so worth it. This is a once in a lifetime collectible and the workmanship is evident in every detail. THANK YOU Linda and your wonderful craftsman.

I have never had to get anything framed before but I knew I did not want to go to a big, impersonal chain store. I looked on Unilocal and saw the reviews for Gold Leaf. I had a little trouble finding it in the strip mall off of Edwards and Westminster but I got there.
Linda took my pieces and began showing me a few different frames that could go with the two pieces of art that I bought. I never thought of what a frame could do for the individual paintings but once she started working her magic, the paintings came alive. One impressionist painting of fall leaves in a park had vibrant color but once she added the wide, wood frame, the trees jumped off the canvas. And as a bonus, she couldn’t have been any nicer to a customer if she tried. Wonderful service.

This place is the real deal. Forget other frame snipes, they have real gold leaf framing from Italy and a large selection of other types of frames at prices better than Aaron Bros. Linda provides great service and design advice. I’ll never go anywhere else again.

I love supporting family business and this is one of those! If you want something framed do yourself a favor and and go to Gold Leaf! So much cheaper then if you were to go to a big chain store and soooo many more choices. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do and linda was so patient helping to show me many different options. Linda and Arturo always do such a wonderful job no matter how big or small. My husband and I have taken EVERYTHING to her! We can literally drop off artwork with very little direction and pick it up and it’s perfect. It’s such a pleasure to frame all of our eclectic little bits of art, posters, typography, maps and see how beautifully and simply they are framed to showcase the artwork.

Linda knows how to make my photo’s sizzle by picking out the perfect frames and mattes. She has been doing my photos for years and I won’t go to anyone else. I have had dozens of pieces completed by her. She and Artura provide great value, combining high quality material with excellent craftsmanship.

This is an absolutely fabulous place. Linda runs a very caring and professional shop, and her partner — Arturo — is just as professional and competent. The two of them have worked together for decades and launched this business about 4 years ago, and I am so grateful they did. I had an unusually large painting and needed help taking it off its stretcher bars and packing it for international shipping; the care and professionalism they showed in handling this was first class. I was thrilled to give my business to (Gold Leaf) Framing & Restoration and highly highly recommend this business.

I stumbled upon this framing store when I needed a to get a special flag framed in a hurry. This local owned business came to the rescue.
When I first started looking in Unilocal,I called and called and couldn’t find anyone who could help me, but Art Supply Warehouse (just down the street from Gold Leaf) was kind enough to refer me to Linda and boy was I saved!
Not only did she answer the phone AFTER they were closed, but she stayed at the shop so I could make it there and go through the details of the framing. The next day she was spot on delivering even more than I could have hoped for AND it included getting an engraved plaque to include inside the shadow box.
The flag I asked her to frame came out fantastic and even though the special event I was getting for was rescheduled at the last minute, I know that when it’s presented next week that it will be a BIG HIT!
