C’est un restaurant vraiment sympa, pittoresque et très pratique car il est ouvert 24h/24! Le service est aimable, c’est un restaurant familial à essayer. Il fait penser aux anciens restos des années 50⁄60.

This place was just bad in every way it could be. We placed a order over the phone for pick up. I got the country fried steak with mash potatoes. The CFS was charred black all the way too it’s center, the meat was old which is most likely why they over cooked it so much. The«garlic bread» was a piece of old white bread toasted with garlic butter wrapped in a piece of paper and placed at the bottle of the bag in our order for good measure. The mashed potatoes were poorly mashed and had large chunks of mostly uncooked potatoes. Just wow I wish 0 stars was a thing.

My boyfriend and I came in around 11:55 pm and there were a couple of tables already. Cute family business diner and really affordable prices. The New York Steak was only $ 15.25 and it comes with: a bowl of soup or salad, mashed potatoes or baked potato or stuffed potato, and garlic bread or dinner roll. Their fresh-pressed orange juice is so good, my boyfriend can’t stop raving about it. It’s the perfect amount of sweetness and pulp! Their clam chowder soup is so good; they even give you a decent sized bowl unlike most other diners. They have a lot of clam portions in the soup. I have to say that other franchise restaurants like BJ’s don’t even add in this much.

This is my go to place for Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce does not seem like it came from a can or jar like most other«cookie cutter» Eggs Benedict’s I have had at other places. I like mine with avocado(optional addition). This is definitely the best Eggs Benedict I have had since my grandmother’s from my childhood. Frankie is a great host/owner. His staff are pleasant and regularly keep my iced tea from getting too low. Don’t let the Motel 6 behind the café, and occasional visitors from the motel, scare you from trying this great food!

24 hours, even breakfast! How many restaurants you can find that offer this? Food is good, typical traditional breakfast but nothing that I would consider yummy. I haven’t tried the lunch or dinner option so I can’t really comment on those. Price is alright, a tad expensive for the portion in my opinion. I may come back if I crave for breakfast and if I’m around the area.

I was very disappointed. The reviews made this place sound so good. I ordered the spanish omelet to my surprise it was just egg and sauce on top, no chesse nothing inside. Pancakes taste like store bought batter, country potatoes had no flavor and seemed to have been over cooked and scraped off the bottom of the pan. I’ll stick to IHope!!! Severs are very nice and sweet.

I read the Unilocal reviews and sure enough this place lived-up to the hype. Showed up at 4am and was treated as if they were waiting on me to arrive and as if I were the only customer. I ordered the garden veggie omelette with hash browns, it was hot, fresh, and tasted delicious. Altogether, the entire visit worthwhile. Will return with more people next time. And for those who must experience to believe, enjoy your visit, I am confident that you will soon be a believer! :-)

I really like that this place is open 24 hrs and looks like it has not had a makeover since 1970! The food was traditional American and homey. They said all the cakes are made there from scratch. They looked delicious but we were so stuffed we could not try them. The menu choices are fairly extensive. My friend had the meet loaf and I had red snapper and zucinni soup. The fish was great the soup was ok. The date nut bread was ok. The stuffed potato was ok. But I would still like to give the place a few more try’s.

Customer service was great. Food however was bland and tasted old. Hash browns were mushy and didn’t taste like anything. The only good thing about the breakfast we ordered was the bacon and sausage but it comes in a package already so??? Sorry but idk why this place have 4 stars.

There is something about classic style cafes that brings a home-like feel to your dining experience. Café Westminster brings that vintage kitchen to life from the entrees to a cup of coffee and a slice of pie. My brother lives nearby, so when we hang out, its the corner coffee shop. It may feel like any old Denny’s or Norms, but this place has a nostalgia all its own. It does look like a funky roadside truck stop, but don’t let the outside exterior of the place discourage you. Its actually very cozy and roomy inside. The inside dining area is clean, staff is friendly and attentive, and food is very tasty. Breakfast is the only meal I’ve had here so far, but I’m sure when I return, I will try something new. I went with the Monte Cristo sandwich, which was nicely portioned, and it was very flavorful with its thick slice of toast, and great filling. A+ for an original classic! Perks: Open 24 – 7! Portions are plenty for the $. Menu is inviting to try other things. Location is close to 405 fwy, which is good for a food stop either on your way or coming back. Plenty of parking. OverALL: An adorable step back in time, but updated classic foods and good times. Worth a try in the Westminster area.

Home cooking, I’ve eaten here three days in a row, as I’m a captive audience at M6. EVERYTHING has been delicious. Just had the champagne brunch eggs Benedict, my husband had the top sirloin and eggs… Absolutely a great deal, and definately one of the best cleanest meals I’ve had in a long time. I arrived here with a stomach bug, and their chicken soup etc had nurses me back to health. Dora is a sweet heart, fast service on point with a smile. Love this place.

One of my favorite places to eat. Reminds me of the old school dinners back east. Quality food, good service and the prices are reasonable. I usually come for breakfast but have come for lunch before and the lunch have been just as good as the breakfasts. A nice little local spot with good food.

This place is fine. Old school restaurant with mostly customers looking for a table to spend mornings after retirement. Food is not fancy but it’s decent and the share sizes are about avg. if you look for anything special or exciting go elsewhere. This is a place to have a meal that won’t produce special memories afterward, either good or bad.

The food here are consistently deliciouse. Many thanks to my favorites chef:)). Try their tuna melt or BLT club. It is awesome. Freshly squeeze OJ is great here. For desserts I highly recommend their many homemade treats. The tiramisu is out of this world. Shout out to my favorites waitress«Dora» who always treat me and kids very nice and remembering our orders. Keep up the awesome work you guys:)

A cute little diner off the 405 in Westminster. I lived in this city for over 10 years but I’d never been here, yet the food and service is awesome! Stopped here after a long morning of shopping around at the GWC swapmeet. Kinda expected ehh food but it was a pleasant surprise! They have fresh squeezed OJ which is great compared to the usual minute maid orange juice from your local grocery store. We both ordered the chili cheese omelet, which comes with a choice of 2 pancakes/2 slices of toast or fruit/cottage cheese, and hash browns/country potatoes. Hash browns were AWESOME. Super crusty and cooked well, yet nice and tender from within. The omelette, like the name says, is smothered in chili and cheddar cheese. Service is also great too, two or three servers came and checked on us while we ate! Would totally come again.

The decorations and location set me up to believe that the food would be mediocre, but boy was I wrong! I ordered the onion rings and the cream of zucchini. The onion rings were just your typical thick and breaded onion rings, but they’re still a good eat! It was crispy and not drenched in oil. The cream of zucchini was amazing! Nice to have on a cold day. It came with a nice side of crackers. My boyfriend had one of their omelets(I can’t remember the name right now) and there were no remnants of it afterwards. The reason for taking a star off is because the wait to get my meal ordered took more time than needed. I was there at almost midnight and the restaurant is fairly small. The waiter seemed to not notice us even when they were just doing petty stuff behind the counter. Also, the spoon I got was dirty, so I had to ask for another one. Other than that, this place is a good place to go if you need a little late night fix.

Prompt service, clean restaurant, quiet atmosphere. Great coffee. Their fried zucchini with sprinkled parmesan cheese are the best I’ve ever had, crispy on the outside, warm and perfect on the inside. Their cobb salad is good too, never get to finish it because I end up mostly eating zucchini’s. Right off the 405 freeway, enough parking too.

Café Westminister’s hometown diner feel is a comfortable and cute character of its own! One step in here and you’re transported to another time or a place that gives you a sense of a homelike familiarity. Whenever I visit an old-school Diner I always order breakfast due to the nostalgic feel of mornings in my mom’s kitchen as she whipped up something special. –THEGARDENOMELETTE: caught my eye! Fresh ingredients like mushrooms, bell pepper, tomatoes, and onion are tossed in egg whites to a complete fluff. For an extra kick in flavor I had them add spinach, topping it off with fresh avocado slices! It looked a bit small but it did the trick. I choose fruit and wheat toast as a side. The fruit was decent until I found a fruit fly on it. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt hoping it just landed on it. The bread used for the toast was a bit disappointing. It was very pour quality with hardly and flavor or crunch to it. –SPAGHETTIANDMEATSAUCE: is huge! The noodles were simple and tasted as if you were to make your own at home but that’s what a diner is all about. The sauce was tastey but extremely close to Chef Boyardee’s flavor. The side of steamed carrots on the plate with it was a bit interesting as well. The Garlic Bread was slightly better than the wheat toast but still lacked flavor for such a strong item. The host wasn’t that welcoming upon arrival. Luckily our waitress was a doll. She was extremely friendly to my friend and I. Orders were put in quickly and served fast which was nice. This 24⁄7 spot was unexpected and enjoyable to an extent. Norms is still my favorite classic diner but if I’m ever around these woods again, Café Westminster is worth a stop.

Family owned and operated café! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years and I absolutely love it here. Good food, great prices, awesome staff and many regulars. My husband faithfully orders the Monte cristo… it is the best thing on the menu. Egg battered and fried ham and turkey sandwich topped with powder sugar.. Delicious! Must try! I Usually order whatever special they have since it comes with a soup or salad, entrée and dessert for $ 10. Try the double baked potato.. So good!

This place is just ehh okay. I don’t know how it has 4 stars. Each person in my party thought the same. Basically none of our food had flavor or it was mediocre . I got the beef and barley soup and it was sweet. Maybe a lot more tomato then I’m used to but I even had everyone at the table try it and it really tastes like sugar was an ingredient . Maybe it has 4 stars because it’s open late ? I would not come back here.

A quaint diner right off the 405 freeway that offers traditional American food 24 hours a day. This is one of those restaurants you would pass by a 100x and never know it existed until you finally saw a Unilocal review and went or someone told you about it and you’re a regular there now. Actually my mother and I found out about this place because we were doing the LA rock n roll marathon, it was at night so you could imagine we got home pretty late. Almost all of Orange County shuts down at 10 or 11PM. So we tried to find something to eat for our celebratory dinner. We thought we would go to the In N Out right there but when we got there it was closed. In the corner of our eye we saw this place is opened 24 hours a day and thought we would try it out. We went to the other side of the diner where they have ample parking. The other reviewers are correct it is by a motel 6 but I’ve never known that to be a problem and I’m not even sure why so many people bring it up. I’ve seen more activity down at the spires on Goldenwest than this one. We walked in and plopped down on of the seats. There were actually a surprising number of people there for 2AM. All I remember is that I ordered a chocolate shake and a hamburger with steak fries. And it did not disappoint, they bring out a huge hamburger with a mound of fries. The perfect amount of food for late night snacking especially after a half marathon. We then told out grandpa about it and started going with him a lot of times for breakfast or lunch to celebrate graduation or something like that. It beats out the cocos we had right down the street from us. And my ex and I would come here many times and we eventually became regulars and I can attest with the other reviewers that they remember who you are. I think we didn’t show up at this place for like 6 months one time and they remembered who we were. It definitely has a more mom and pop feel as far as diners go, not the corporate places you normally see around town. Every time I’ve been here they always give you a lot of food so be ready for that. The side of salad that comes before your meal is always good. I get the blue cheese and it really hits the spot. I normally get the burger though because by the time I come back to this place I just want a good American burger with some fluffy steak fries. Every time I’ve gone I’ve never had a problem like the other reviewers, they’ve always given amazing amazing food that makes me keep coming back. I guess the one thing I would say about the food and sometimes the service is that this place is open 24 hours a day they’ve served 1000s of people, you just can’t always get it right. Something is gonna go wrong, that’s just business. Al though if I saw a caterpillar in my food I might be reluctant to come back haha. The only thing I’ve had that’s just okay is the cake. It’s a pretty large piece so it’s like $ 5 and it’s just not good to me. I actually haven’t had it in a long time so I don’t remember why but the one at spires is to die for much better. The chocolate shakes here are basically ice cream in a glass cup you might want to get that instead that’s what I normally go with. In all honesty I love coming here if it was just a tad closer to where I live I would be a regular. The prices are about $ 10 a plate and I guess my expectations of this diner and what it is match the food and service you’re going to get there.

I absolutely love this place! It just reminds me of those really old school diners which I love. It’s always busy, but the few times I’ve been finding seating has never been an issue. Now on to the menu. Wow, pretty expansive with great options. Sometimes it’s hard for me to narrow it down especially because the portions are so large. The menu is filled with tons of omelet options almost anything one can think of it seems. Also pancakes and of course Belgium waffles. This particular visit I decided to with a combo which consisted of two eggs, four sausage links, hash browns and two pancakes all for about $ 10. Tons of food for a great price! The service is also great everyone is friendly and constantly refilling your drink whether it’s soda or my favorite raspberry iced tea. This place is a hidden gem. If you’re looking for a real diner with great food and even better pricing then look no further!

This really is the defenition of «Diners, Drive-ins and Dives» because you can not only tell that it is an older facility by the décor, location, and ambiance, but they serve up some good food. Their menu is expansive. Ranging from all the breakfast items, to Mexican food, fresh fish, burgers, etc. It has everything. My review will be on the breakfast. Got the Corn beef hash with hash browns and poached eggs + sourdough toast(option for pancakes over toast is available). Most of the breakfasts are around $ 6-$ 12 depending, so it’s right on par with most places like IHOP and DENNY’s. But this is a Mom n Pop place, so its even better. Corn Beef hash was flavorful, hash browns were crispy and hot, eggs were cooked to order. On top of that my sourdough was well buttered, and served with a side of REALJAM. Not the pre-packaged smuckers, but full on preserves. We have a winner! Coffee was decent, and service was attentive. All around, a great place to go, and its 24HOURS! I can imagine this place gets a lot of drunk traffic around 1−3am. Will return soon. FORSURE.

So, this review is a few weeks coming… I wanted to make sure that they really deserved a 1-star, as I don’t really like rating so low. I was craving«Diner food»(specifically a dinner salad) so we hopped on Unilocal to choose somewhere we hadn’t been. Getting into the parking lot was a little odd if you are coming from the East, it’s better to turn before the restaurant and pull in by the hotel. Parking was plentiful. We walked in and were seated pretty quickly. However, there was an overflowing bucket of dirty dishes sitting in the first booth by the door which was positioned there the entire time we ate. Luckily, they sat us pretty far from the entrance but… the smell… It was horrible… and this one wasn’t coming from the dirty dishes bucket. We should have walked out then, but I was so hungry that I was willing to plug my nose and bear it. I ordered a dinner salad and order of zucchini, my boyfriend ordered a burger and fries. Nothing special, in the least, the zucchini was bitter. Service was slow. Even the bathrooms were dirty and smelled of mildew. Perhaps the plastic paint bucket from Home Depot that they refashioned into a outdoor light should have steered us away in the first place, but now we will know to be more perceptive in the future. When you don’t take care of your facilities, you can bet the food and experience will be bad. Bad, bad, bad!

Came here for brunch yesterday. This diner isn’t the best looking diner but I still really liked the atmosphere and it gave me such a homey feeling. Kind of takes you back in time a bit :’) Service was alright, but I wasn’t expecting too much. I ordered the crab omelette with a side of wheat toast, hash browns and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. I wish they had bottomless orange juice! Since it was a little on the pricey side for just that glass. My omelette was so delicious! So much for my new year diet :’(I should have ordered my breakfast with a side of their home style fries. My boyfriend ordered his meal with the home style fries and it was so good! One of the best home style fries I’ve ever tried. It just melted in your mouth and was super flavorful with all the chopped onions and bell peppers. Mmmmm Toast was a little soft. I like my toast a little crunchier and toasty but their jam totally made up for it! Best tasting jam ever. They had three different jams to choose from and I liked how they kept it cold. I knocked down one star since I thought it was a little odd our waitress brought our check out when we weren’t even halfway done with our meals. It just felt she kind of wanted us out of there. Oh and she didn’t ask if we wanted any dessert :’(I thought that was mandatory even if the answer is no. We were going to buy a pie too. But it’s okay next time :’) I will most likely come back since my omelette was super delicious :)

Ok — I’m a huge fan of diners, and Café W is on my Happy list! Finally found something good near my parent’s place. Just wish they had more pie options for a diner. Exactly what you are looking for in a local diner — no fuss, no frills. Just ol’ fashioned grub off a large griddle in the back. From my own experience and the other Unilocal reviews, sounds like you can’t go wrong with the breakfast items. I wouldn’t get a burger or steak here. The place is bare bones with the basics in booths and tables. The booths are worn in and comfy from years of happy meals being eaten in them. The waiters/tresses know their locals and the locals know each other. They have a nice patio area for smokers also. The Midnight Special was kinda amazing. Good hearty gravy with a great taste to it. Stick to the bones type of dish. They have the Nestle hot chocolate with a mountain of whipped cream. YUMMY! :) Also the coffee is pretty decent too. Plenty of parking around the place in front of the Motel 6 and next to the In-n-Out.
