Bienvenidos Tacos & Tacos

The co-​worker and I came here on our lunch break on accident looking for the restaurant behind this one, Taqueria Guerrero Style. We were glad we stumbled on this this one though!
We came on taco Tuesday’s and got 6 carne asada and 6 al pastor with horchata. We wanted to split our food like this:
Me: 3 carne asada and 3 al pastor with everything
Co-​worker: 3 carne asada and 3 al pastor with everything minus the onions
They instead put everything on the carne asada and everything but onions on the al pastor. So we didn’t get our exact order but it was still really delicious! Makes it difficult to come back to the office in a food coma.

This place is fairly new, so it is relatively nice and clean. They must have been very sure of themselves and their food, since there is a taqueria about 3 doors over, one across the street, and sits directly next door to Northgate Mexican market that has a big Mexicatessan at the back of the store.
I did complain on my check in tip that my food took a long time to come out, and the owner apologized for this when she delivered my food, but she explained that the cook made up the carne asada fresh. I had a wet carne asada burrito. It was bomb! A total night and day experience from my crappy mex dinner the night before at another new restaurant. My Mexican itch was scratched. The sauce was super spicy, and while it had my eyes watering, and a fine sheen of sweat on my brow, I couldn’t bring myself to stop eating it. I should also mention this thing was HUGE.
The air conditioning was a little lacking, so I grabbed a seat near the door. They have agua frescas, and horchata for beverages as well as bottled water, and canned sodas. No fountain drinks. Cash only.

I really don’t like giving bad reviews, but this was such a crummy experience. Stopped in because it was close to our hotel, wanted to get a quick meal to go. Waited 20 minutes for a Carne asada plate, and a sope plate. So, basically I got what looked and tasted like a small piece of beef jerky covered in jalapenos and onions, my husbands meal had the wrong meat. no rice and beans. I think the fact that there were only 2 other people in the place should have tipped us off, but the Fish and Chips place next door was packed, we were tired and hungry after an 8 hour drive. No chance we’ll be stopping in again, but seriously folks, worst taqueria we’ve ever been to. Yuck.

Guy on curb on street spinning a $ 0.50 taco Tuesday sign. Go in and ordered two 50 cent tacos. When tacos were ready, they said I have to buy a $ 2.00 drink to get the 50 cent taco deal. I said no thanks and left.

Placed seemed clean and friendly, the meat was poor quality, but than again they were 50 tacos.
I ordered Pastor tacos, my wife could not eat them, kinda slimy fatty pieces of meat.
This is just a review on the pastor 50 cent tacos, I didn’t try anything else.

Not coming back here. Thought I should do something to honor Cinco de Mayo so I decided to get some tacos. It was not too packed, I was like the third person in line. I don’t eat pork so I asked the cashier what kind of meat they offered. She was rude enough to say «it’s on the menu» without any further explanation or at least handing me a menu to read or showing me where I can find that information, no. While I was reading the menu by myself, another waitress came out and the first one left like I did something to her. They had a banner that advertised Tuesday Tacos 50c and Cinco de Mayo this year happened to be on a Tuesday as well so I asked if the tacos were 50 cents each still, she said «no more»… but the sign was still up there, hmmmmm, false advertisement! Or did they decide to «no more» since they figured many would come for Tacos on Cinco de Mayo? I ordered 3 things and didnt get it until like 30 minutes later. I caught a frown on the guy that ordered before me because he hadn’t gotten his food either.

Not worth it. went here for taco tuesday. ordered a cheese quesdilla for my kids. the cheese wasnt even close to being melted. my wife and i ordered tacos… i asked for red sauce, they came out with green sauce. i thought no big deal, i still like green sauce. However not only were these tacos tiny (even for street tacos) they had zero flavor, zero spice. just a disappointing taco.
Our solution, we went next door the taquria Guerro and had real tacos.

Cash only! I used to go to taqueria Guerro but after a 45 min wait and the owner being rude to my family I won’t step foot in that place!
This place was a pleasant surprise! Taco Tuesday all the meat they have are available not just two meats like other places All the meats tasted good and were fresh! This will be my new taco spot for sure! Give them a try won’t be sorry.

In comparison to the other two local taquerias, it’s pretty pricey. I paid over $ 4 for 3 tacos the same size as you get at the other taquerias and taco truck.
I only had chorizo and asada tacos. The chorizo meat was really good. I prefer it monumentally to taqueria. However, the asada was pretty dry and not full of flavor.
It also took a good 10 minutes for just 3 tacos and the woman cashier couldn’t smile back at me once.
I suppose it’s possible I would be back if Taqueria Guerrero is out of chorizo again, but other than that, it’s unlikely when it’s twice as expensive for the same thing.

Full disclosure: This review written by a couple of gringo Oregonians. That being said let me add, Yum-​O! Hubs had a Wet Carnitas Burrito (refried beans, rice, pico, sour cream, guac) while I opted for Daisy’s Special Burrito (asada, fries, cheese, sour cream, pico). We thought both were really, really good.
The asada was chopped into perfect sized bites and both meats were flavorful and tender. I watched the chef make fries fresh for me which was appreciated. We don’t have good SoCal style burritos with french fries on them in PDX and now that I’ve eaten a perfect example of one, this fact will make me extra sad from now on.
We also tried the Strawberry Fresa which was quite refreshing.
Don’t let the shitty strip mall location dissuade you, try a taco… and a taco!

Just came in for a quick taco Tuesday. Who can beat tacos for 50 cents?! The meat they offer is carne asada (beef), Pollo (chicken), and Al pastor (pork). Of course I had to try all of them, LOL. My favorite was the chicken, but they were all really yummy. I could get them all again haha. They come with cilantro and onions. The small corn tortillas they come in are SUPER good. Not too dry and not oily. They were soft but not fall apart soft. Pretty good tortillas! They have a self serve salsa bar. It has red and green salsa, radishs, spicy carrots, and lemons. The red salsa is spicier than the tangy green. But both are tolerable. They have fresh aguas there. I believe tamarindo, horchata and one more I can’t remember. They also have Pozole and menudo everyday here. They serve shrimp and have a fairly cheap menu. They have a television on a novela channel (spanish drama show) talking about «pinche Vieja» gahaha. It was entertaining but not that appropriate if you don’t want your kids hearing that. Over all everything was good. I will forsure be back & update you guys on other food they had. It’s in the same parking lot and right next to fish & chips. xoxo !

I can only review what I had for lunch carne asada taco and chorizo. Both good flavor green salsa is mild red salsa is spicy my fav red. They come in a small tortilla just so you know.

Great tacos and the banana licuado (shake) taste just like the way my mom makes it! There is a taco place a few doors down and another across the street BUT this one is the best of the three period!!!
