I’ve been wanting to cut my long hair for a while, but I was worried about price and the fact that every time I get a hair cut I die a little on the inside. A friend went to Courtney for a short cut and a dye and after obsessing over her hair for a week I decided that I wanted to take the plunge too. I brought like 5 different photos of short hair and told Courteny I wanted that «messy lob vibe» –except I was even more vague than that. I don’t know how she understood what I meant, but after maybe 45 minutes (which is the shortest haircut I’ve ever gotten) and some chit chat (I hate chit chat but Courtney was actually someone I’d WANT to have a conversation with) she spun me around and I almost cried. IT WAS LITERALLY WHAT I WANTED. I know that’s the point of going to a stylist, but this girl nailed it so hard I had to high five her. When she told me it was only 38 bucks I actually did cry. You mean I get a hair cut and groceries this week??? YASSSSSS. My friend (who was very against the haircut) was speechless, apologized profusely for doubting my vision, and told me I was meant to have this hair.
The real test was when I had to wash it and do it myself — Nothing I do can ruin this cut — I’m impressed.
Also I didn’t have to wait a second when I got there, this girl was ready to do work!

I’ve been to the salon 4 times now — 2 as scheduled appointments, 2 as a walk-​in. Following this most previous time, I will not be back. The scheduled appointments never started on time, though with two separate stylists (20 minute wait past set time for one, 30 for the other) and always seemed to run long (90 minutes for just a cut?!). Most recently I made an attempt as a walk-​in because business seemed slow. There were about 6 stylists in the salon and only one man waiting for his scheduled appointment. The receptionist (who greeted me 5 minutes after I arrived because she was busy in the back curling her own hair) said there would be a 10 minute wait, and I thought that was great. 60 minutes later and with no update on the service status, I opted to leave.
If you have an established relationship with a stylist, they do a good job. Otherwise, service is terrible and that makes it hard to establish a new relationship!

I love coming here. Mannie is the best, cutting edge stylist on the planet. I always leave feeling great. If you’re ready to look you best go pay him a visit.
Everyone has always been pleasant every time I’ve been in there.
I even take my daughter in for a haircut there. The price is worth it for the quality. I have sent my mom, sister, and friend and they all feel the same way.

Been going to this salon for 10 years!!! Jennifer is the best she always know what’s to do even when I barely have an idea. She styles great and her color is always perfect.

I have gone to this salon for over 3 years and have always received excellent service. One of the owners is my stylist and I have always been treated in a respectful manner, given undivided attention, and always received the services I requested. Everyone is very professional and pleasant to deal with. I have never written a recommendation on Unilocal before, but feel that the one posted by Anonymous was totally out of line. I am thinking it is an employee who was terminated in Oct for good cause, who is seeking retribution. Don’t let this ANONYMOUS person scare you off! This is a great salon with great staff. Try it for yourself.
