Olympic Coney Island

I went there for the second time yesterday with my daughter. Both experiences were identical, with me walking away extremely satisfied with the meal, but underwhelmed by the service.
My server seemed short tempered and annoyed, and the server at the next table was manic.
I was told that everyone had been double or triple sat in their sections, and I can appreciate that, but it seems, based on my own experiences, and reading other reviews, to be a regular concern.
The kitchen was on point, food was fast and delicious.
Is recommend the place on the food alone… I just hate paying 20% (which I will always do regardless of poor service) for substandard servers

I would not recommend!!! I went to this place three different times and order the same exact meal, each time the price went up. When I asked the manager (the guy at the register) he was very rude! Please stay away from this place the staff is very unprofessional!

I want so bad to give this place a 5 star review! I’ve been going to this place for years! I always order the same thing. Greek Chicken Breast bowl with the spicy chicken. (Delicious!!) However, the last two times I’ve been in the waitress attitude was not nice or professional. I would recommend the food but the waitress make it a not so good experience.

Wow; I think the only good thing I can say anything about this place is the fact that our waitress was good at refilling our drinks and the saganaki was decent. Other than that our food was horrible. The lemon rice soup tastes like your actually eating a lemon in liquid form. The eggs were cold and the chili was brown water. The French toast was hard and the hash browns weren’t cooked all the way. Needless to say we won’t be returning anytime soon.

Chicken lemon rice soup is amazing! So much flavor! Gyros are extraordinarily! They have the best sauce for the gyros! Best Greek salad dressing, homemade and you can take a bottle home with you! Loose burgers are great! Juicy as ever! The salad is fresh and all the fixings are fresh! The staff is amazing and they are people that have been here for 10+ years! They take their time and your meal comes out to be exactly what you ordered. I’ve never had a problem here. I wish they were 24 hours, or close at 11pm; the time they close is my only issue because I could eat this whenever! I drive out here once a week or more! I always get a family size chicken lemon rice soup to go! I have about 10 Coney Island around my house but none compare to Olympic Coney Island! I see bad reviews and I don’t understand. I am a very picky person but this place hits the spot every time! Had a bitchy waitress one time but I talked with the owner about it and problem was resolved!

Went to Olympic at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and ordered breakfast… Yes, it was one of those lazy days and breakfast is good at anytime of the day!!!
I ordered the 2 egg special over medium, with home fries, wheat toast, and bacon. Everything came out minutes later, hot fresh and tasty… No complaints here.
They are starting to remodel, can’t wait to see the updates…
I sat at the walk-​up counter. The waitress was friendly and outgoing and kept my drink full at all times. Overall a good experience… :)

I love this place. Their Breakfast is A-​1! They also have the best wing dings. And the staff is very friendly. Try it you will love it.

I had the grilled chicken breast off the low-​carb menu. It was excellent – very well seasoned. It also came with sliced tomatoes and a side dish of sliced peaches. It’s great to have healthy choices on a menu.

The wife and I popped in to try «that one place we drive past all the time.» I had the fish and chips. It was pretty tasty. When I finished it, there wasn’t much leftover oil on my plate. Which is nice in my opinion. The fries were… fries. My wife had the medium Greek salad. It looked delicious. The dressing was AWESOME!!! I believe they bottle the stuff and sell it there as well.
Now the bad/​gross. Our table, and the table next to ours were leveled off with wadded up napkins; that seemed like they’ve been there for quite sometime. Then I thought about the nasty mop water that those napkins have soaked up over time. And the funkiness they harbored. Annnnnd that’s when I ended my relatively tasty meal. Don’t get me wrong. Restaurants do thins all the time… as a temporary fix. However, this wasn’t a temporary thing.
Don’t let this steer you away from the place. Hopefully, this was an oversight and the napkin levelers will be removed. The food was pretty good. I prefer them to the Ram’s Horn right across the street from them. I would’ve given 4 stars, but I couldn’t get past those napkins.

Very good food. Gyros are probably better than any place in the area.

This is an OK place. That’s about all to be said really.
The coney’s are nothing great, but they are acceptable.
The chicken greek salad was a little more disappointing. Cheap lettuce used, much of which I didn’t eat.
There is alot of items on the menu, much of which is greek. Hit the website link and the menu can be viewed.
Waitstaff is always friendly and attentive.

Olympic has a large menu and they do much of it well. Soups are homemade, dressings for salads are as well. Staff is quite attentive and pleasant. Check out the pies. They vary by day and season but are a delicious end to a meal or for a treat anytime. They have added a small patio for dining outside. It looks like fun.
